Fantastic experience!!! Everyone was so personal and warm. I wish I could give them 10 stars! I was urgently looking for a leather sofa and loveseat. Raul was very helpful on the phone, sent pictures and measurements, and my husband and I went right away. They were the perfect high-quality leather sofa, and loveseat at the perfect price! (The shop was lovely and I found a few other eclectic items as well!) At checkout, when I explained why I needed the leather (having allergic/anaphylactic/respiratory reactions to a new fabric sofa and loveseat we purchased 6 weeks ago), Raul went above and beyond. Raul personally arranged for his delivery man to come in at 7am to load and deliver the next morning before the store opened so I wouldn't have to wait 3-5 days for delivery. I didn't ask for special treatment - he did it out of the kindness of his own heart! In fact, Raul (owner) himself and his driver delivered, set up, and picked up the other set for me at 8:00 the next morning. I cannot thank them enough for their care, concern, and willingness to go the extra mile to help me!!! They are literally lifesavers!!! Every time I pop into Potros Resale Shop, I always find some highly distinctive piece of furniture or interior décor. On one of my visits this year, they had an amazing late-modern style, drum table in chrome and black marble. This was not some standard, mass-manufactured item of the kind that we've all seen before; it appears to be a one-off crafted by a local artist or designer and is very high quality. The price was quite reasonable, and store owner Raul was super-helpful when he delivered the table to my apartment later in the week. Potros has some very interesting items in the front of the store... they are a little pricey on some of the items however their stuff is really unique. They also have furniture outside which tends to be more reasonable than the inside. The better priced items are to the back of the store but tend to be a little worn however great for do-it-yourselfers like me... overall it is worth a Saturday walk-through! read more

This is my all time favorite resale shop! The stuff you find in here is so unique and never tacky. Buyer beware!!! Horrible customer service and deceptive practices.. I purchased 2 wing back chairs for 375.00. I explained to the sometimes flirtatious owner that I traveled heavily and would need to find someone to pick up. At no time was it stated of a period of time in which the chairs had to be picked up. I returned to the store and my chairs had been resold supposedly but in the same breathe the owner says if I pay storage fees I could get the chairs. Really!! I asked for a refund of my money and never received anything. If a refund could not be given store credit would have been the right thing to do. I now have lost 375.00 and will never step foot in to this establishment. I intern took my business, several family members and friends to Alabama furniture on Yale. They have outstanding customer service, great prices and offer delivery services. read more

What a fun place! This is truly a best kept secret in Houston! Driving up to this place, I never would have expected what I found inside.
