In the 14 years that I've lived here, I have always "put my name on the list" to have my unit treated every time the guys come out to do the common areas (hallways, laundry, trash chutes, etc) and they've always been prompt, professional, and extremely thorough. I've always liked the fact that the exterminator will explain what he's doing (spraying, applying gel, laying traps, etc) and the effects of each in order to control or contain any insects that may make their way into my unit. I have since began contracting them on my own (paying separately) for them to come more often and even on an emergency situation (did you know that when people move in/out the vermin in their units scatter to others ) and I can count on them showing up within 24 hours. I never imagined I'd be writing a review for an exterminator - but? I contacted them today about a strange odor (decaying/rotten milk) to ask if it could be something dead behind my walls. They walked me through a few troubleshooting steps over the phone and it turns out that there is NOT anything dead but that my sink needed a good gallon of vinegar poured down it to sanitize and eradicate the source of the offending odor. I love these guys, because I absolutely hate bugs!

So much for that! I would have expected at least SOME effort to inspect our apartment and maybe try and look around for where they might be. Nope! Barely even lifted a finger. His colleague stood outside the house the entire time, and Gary wasn't even willing to touch the mattress. I had to pull it out for him. What kind of exterminator is afraid of getting their hands dirty? It's your job to find bugs and exterminate them. At least pretend you're trying dude. Before he came, he had us empty all of our dressers and put our clothes in airtight bins. I'll admit, that's good advice, but that's something you'd probably read online before dumping money and time on someone like this. So yeah, thanks for regurgitating obvious information to me. This guy didn't even bother looking into any dressers or closely inspect any of our beds. He made absolutely no effort on his part. I ended up finding more bed bugs myself after thoroughly inspecting my roomate's room, and putting actual effort into making sure that we dealt with them the best way we could for the meantime. If you are reading this and you've discovered bed bugs in an early stage and it's not a big infestation yet, I highly recommend that you watch Mark Rober's bed bug video and follow it religiously. Buy bed bug traps for your bed, encase your bed in a high quality bed mattress cover, apply diatomaceous earth powder in a thin layer around your room (please wear a N95 mask and do your best not to inhale any of it), etc. Follow everything in that video before your bed bug problem becomes an infestation. Please watch that video. It will do you justice. If you caught your bed bug problem too late, you'll need a professional. In other words, not this guy. He might have good reviews for other pests, but he has absolutely no idea what he's doing in regards to bed bugs. He's afraid of them. He ain't gonna help you. Thanks for nothing, I'm sure whatever my landlord paid you was worth it.

What caught my attention is that the company does not have you sign any contracts, they come and take care of things that you ask them to take care of. I left a message on Yelp and received a response from Gary in fairly short timeframe. He was at my door steps the following morning and took care of the problem. That same evening, I did not see a single YJ. Gary took care of the problem in quick and effective manner. Price was also very reasonable. I will definitely consider FT&PC for any future pest needs.

They billed for 2 visits in which they never came to my house. When they did show up; the technician simply threw poison packets with blue poison chips inside the house that you can buy in the store. The poison packs later left a huge mess on floor when the mice ate them). Callahan Pest Control then uses Insect Traps with gel inside that you can buy at the store for $5 a box for outdoor treatment. I had mice in my house and they never made an effort to fix the problem of how and where the mice were getting in. All Callahan's Pest Control did was come and dropped rat poison in the house for them to eat which led to a smelly dead mouse in basement. Callahan's Pest Control doesn't address the "real problem" of how the mice are getting in your house in the first place. They did not use glue traps or regular rat traps. I'm going to be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. You will be better off buying rat poison packets and insect gel packs yourself at the store. Make sure to put the rat poison packets on something that will collect all the poison debris when mice tear into them. Then insect bait traps with gel inside go outside on any ant trails. Or you could call a reputable Pest Control Company that actually uses wire mesh, inspects your gutters and walls for holes, uses sticky traps instead of poison, and actually sprays for pest outside with stuff you can't buy yourself in the store.
