A bowl that's ready to go to the kiln (a colored glaze will be added later)
    Grace C.

My family did a private party for 7 people here in December. I really enjoyed the class! Most of us were first-timers. The instructor got a station set up for each of us, and then we were led through the different steps of making our own bowl. She walked around and gave us guidance when needed. When we messed up, she stepped in to help us fix the problem. Aprons are provided, but you'll want to wear old/crummy clothes anyway because there's nothing to protect your pants or your sleeves.. There were a lot of options in this basic beginner class. Bowls could be flat, taller, round, heart-shaped, scallop-edged, etc. Lastly, we picked the color(s) that we wanted our bowls to be. There was even the option to hand-paint the bowls. We didn't get to take our bowls home right away because they needed to go through the kiln twice, I think. The wait time before we get our bowls back should end up being around 3-5 weeks I believe. There is a very cute and friendly little dog freely roaming around the studio. Overall, a fun & pleasant experience!

My work group is always looking for fun and unique ways to enjoy ourselves and build on our team dynamics. This place definitely fit the bill for a unique experience. They easily accommodated our group of 10 and we had the whole place to ourselves. They let you bring food and wine which was great. The instructor was fantastic and we each made our own bowl from scratch with her help of course. We had a really good time and I highly recommend this place for anyone who desires to spin the wheel.

My 8-year-old daughter and I went in. the waiting room alone was definitely something to see. even though the tickets were slightly expensive at the time they have gone down since then by half. we started to walk through the exhibit I was floored. the amount of time effort and energy and creativity the people that put this together did in this space is far from just saying its amazing! ITS FREAKING PHENOMENAL! Each exhibit is well thought out and they are all awesome photo ops. We had a blast! A year later I took my 17-year-old son. The price went down but also some of the exhibits were gone. I was informed that they were building something else in place of, but was disappointed because a couple of my favorite exhibits were now missing. the rain room was awesome, but it's gone now. I think they should bring it back because walking through a rainstorm and not getting a single drop of rain on you is mind blowing. The fact that I can bring both of my children with huge age gaps and interests and both of them found this place to be interesting, fun and unforgettable is really all that has to be said.

It took my friends and I approx. 45 mins., at most to walk through the entire place. And that's with us thoroughly exploring every nook and cranny. Kids will definitely have a blast here and will most likely spend more time playing with all the sensory effects but for my friends and I, we will most likely not visit again. Note: Adult admission fee is $34.99 + tax and child admission fee is $24.99 + tax.

They had a vast assortment of frame style and wood tones from which to choose; it wasn't difficult to find the perfect match for my needs. The attribute that separates these guys from the chains, is KA&CF's expertise in proportioning and aesthetics. They offer sage suggestions on how much to trim borders and the necessary width of the frame for the overall size. I don't know if it was the quality of the prints, but once framed, in the lighting where they were hung, the paper appeared wavy. I reached out for advice (thinking maybe I bought cheap prints) and they were keen to remedy the situation. My prints were adhered to a special board for a smooth finish which eradicated the issue. They were insistent that I should be satisfied with my art. I recommend KA&CF without reservation for their integrity, expertise and quality of product.

Nikki Szeto is a Houston area artist that redefines the term "portrait". If more people were aware…read moreof the availability and choice of selecting a portrait art as opposed to a photograph, I think they would be delightfully surprised to find that Ms. Szeto's oil paintings convey so much more than either a photograph or the conventional concept of portrait, i.e. a staid, old fashion though treasured family keepsake or something one might see at a bank or business. Ms. Szeto is certainly worth examining if you are lucky enough to connect to an artist of this caliber. Nikki is formally educated and trained in fine arts and in addition she is an extremely good teacher. Whether you desire a likeness of a love one, yourself, or perhaps an exciting, new piece of art for your home, one would find a treasure in her work that would grow in both sentimentality as well as a collectable art. Ms. Szeto is a lovely, soft spoken woman, sensitive to her clients specific desires or able to suggest ideas as she is unusually empathic to a special allure or spirit that captures her subjects very essence. Her style can range from a more formal sitting to a spirited movement or lighting that totally enunciates that particular person's personality. Her painting would be become not only a generational treasure but a beautiful, innovative piece of art suitable and lovely at home or public display. I personally have two of Ms. Szeto's oil portraits of my daughters; each so different, yet both so innovative and absolutely wonderful works of art I am proud to have as a collector. I think anyone would be lucky to come into contact with Nikki Szeto both as an artist, teacher or for a interesting conversation about art and life.

Her style is representational and her medium is oil Depending on what is to be expressed, her works range from subtle and restrained to bold and exuberant.
