Making a masterpiece at the pottery wheel!
    Judy S.

Love the pottery wheel class! Instructor Angie is super patient, gentle & encouraging while giving step-by-step instructions. Owner Lottie is super sweet and easy-going. Had a fun time with my family! Will definitely do it again!

I've only done this kind of thing one other time. This location has a welcoming vibe. They accommodated the imprint for my dog with only about 15 minutes notice and gave us plenty of time to decide what kind of art we wanted to do. Their glass fusing looks really interesting and they showed us various examples of what we could do. Ultimately, we chose painting preprepared pottery. They had conversations with us about what direction we wanted to go and provided us with a lot of advice and the right kind of tools for what we wanted. Their prices were very reasonable. I can see myself coming back to try their pendant and glasswork options.

    My master piece

We have been hearing about this place forever by my cousin. So I gather up a group of girls to come to this location. We were created by Lottie Cantu the owner and she was so pleasant and sweet. She really knew everything about the shop and art. Being the first time there she was so attentive and patience with us. We want to make glass jewelry and knew nothing about it. She was so nice to teach us and let us spend almost all day making out master piece. You can tell she loves her customers by the time she takes talking to them. During the time I was there she was training her staff about the importance of the material and what goes with which piece. You can tell Lottie takes that extra care in customer service. We saw a lot of families there and she took time talking to them and making sure they had what they needed and made sure they had three coats. I saw other reviews about this place was shocked to see so little stars since my experience was amazing and I would recommend this place to anyone that want to be artistic. They are a BYOB place but they do have snacks and drinks for sale from $1.00-$3.00. It is a great place for glass fussing, jewelry making, pottery wheel, and pottery painting. So worth the time and the money.

The painted Xmas tree comes out lovely.

I took a "Christmas in July" pottery painting class & loved it. It was BYOB, and they served cheese & crackers. They even added ambiance with Christmas music playing in the background. We each painted a ceramic Xmas tree that came with a light kit. They are about a foot tall or so. Makes a great holiday decoration or gift. They came out beautiful from the kiln and I was able to pick it up about 2-3 weeks later. I hope they offer more Xmas oriented classes like ornaments.

Glass fusing...its fun to break pieces of glass to make an art object.

Its the only place I can go and break glass for fun! Can't believe some of the beautiful art pieces I saw that other customers had created.

Great studio. We had a great time at our wheel throwing class. Picked our bowls up a couple weeks ago. They came out nice for first timers.

My daughter is loving her pottery class. It's a little pricey, but the experience is good for her and she gets to go for a full week.

It's a…read moregreat concept but the horrible customer service makes it not worth it, and in the end they lost our pieces and didn't care. 1. From the beginning, I had a subpar experience because the employee helping us make our pieces was new (which is fine, nobody can help that) but instead of explaining how to create the work or having a more experienced employee shadow her training, she kept getting frustrated and would say "here, I'll just show you" and ended up basically making the pottery for us. She was sweet but lacked training and patience, so she didn't let us make our own pottery. She also kept bantering with her colleague while we sat there waiting to hear what to do next. 2. Then 6 weeks goes by and we didn't hear back about our piece, my husband and I kept calling and finally after a week, someone answered and said yes it's ready. 3. Now we have painted and sent them to the fire and we went to pick it up this evening. They are moving locations and everything was packed up. The employee said he can't find it and it was probably recycled. The most they can offer is 50% off a new pottery experience. Taken aback, I said hey that's really uncool, and kind of messed up. He said we should have picked it up within 2 weeks and it's been almost 60 days. It's been exactly 40 days, and we just had Xmas and New Years, AND they're only open Thursday through Sunday. Nonetheless that is my blunder, I recognize that. Still, they can call someone before throwing away their pieces. The employee said, "We used to do that, but it was bad for business." 4. The final straw was when the employee said, "I'll look through on Monday at the warehouse to see if it's there," and my husband asked, "and you'll call us?" The employee said Yeah. My husband said, "and you have our number on file?" which prompted him to check in front of us. HE DIDNT EVEN HAVE OUR NUMBER! The guy was never planning on calling us because I was upset about our pieces possibly being thrown away. So they can take six weeks to notify us our pieces are ready, but we can't take 4 weeks to pick it up? They should admit our stuff was thrown away or lost because they're moving locations, not because we took an extra 2 weeks to pick it up. Neither the email that said it was ready nor the employees at time of painting indicated that we HAD to pick it up in two weeks or else they'll recycle our pieces. Almost every employee at this location has zero customer service training (except one lady who helped us paint our pieces). I have never felt so strongly about an establishment that I wrote an extensive review. My advise is to take your $ elsewhere. Makes sense why this location isn't even on Google maps, only Apple Maps. They probably had awful reviews. I'm so disappointed in Smashed & genuinely sad at how I've been treated.
