We stopped in here today when at the mall. We had taken care of the specific reasons for the trip but as long as this home furnishing store is between my two other planned stops we decided to look at actual rugs as I had only looked online. We so like the rug I got for my workspace room more than a decade ago, so we wanted to see samples of bigger options for our living room. As I was sliding the full size 5'x8' rugs through the display rack, a very helpful staff member came to help us. We considered a few options but as our room would require an 8'x8' to look best several were eliminated by size alone. She knew all the details of the rugs on display. We are considering taking full room carpeting out of our main living area and repairing and refinishing the 50 year old hardwood underneath and then using a rug in the center only to balance the existing g furniture in style and color. The hardwood has been covered most of those years so it only needs a couple of minor repairs and a new finish. It will be easier to keep clean this way and make the room brighter. We will decide in the spring when we get the floor repair estimate of which way to go. But I'd like it to be possible to go with another Pottery Barn rug to balance with a repaired floor. I did find one online that does come in 8'x8' and hope they still make it later this year. Timing is everything in these home improvements. read more

I had a Pottery barn sales associate come to my home in May 2024 and help me select a desk combination: 34" desk flanked by two 18" bookcases (file cabinet and bookcase tower above). The pieces finally came in September. The workmen assembled the pieces on our driveway as the pieces came in pieces like you would get from IKEA or Sanders. They brought them in and set them side by side. There were a few slight nicks and the pieces were not joined in anyway. The workmen said they would submit a work order. A month later, no word so I started calling. One person said I should send a picture of the dings in which I did. I wish I had a log of all of the people I talked to between October and December with many placating "I apologize" but no service. I got one email from the party that received the pictures that said that in order to fix the dings they would have to come and load up all of the pieces and take them to the shop. I decided to pass on that and thought maybe I could get the pieces properly joined. Late December before leaving for the winter I made one more call and got someone who said "There are no notes on your order indicating there was any request for follow up service." Again, many "I apologize". She said that when we returned in the spring to get back to the number that she would email me. I did this in April. I got someone to come out early May and when they came they didn't have any screws to finished the job. I did not think I had to tell them to do that. I called again to the number I had on the repair order. That person sent me to Pottery Barn Customer Service and that person sent me to Pottery Barn Furniture. That person said "These pieces are not meant to be joined." I asked why there are holes at the bottom that appear to be for that purpose. She said those holes were for joining the desk to the entire modular unit that covers a large wall and that just because the three pieces are shown on the website as joined together does not mean that they will be joined together to look like a solid unit like shown on the website. So here I am thousands of dollars later and much useless follow up later with a unit that is not what I ordered. Good luck to you if ordering furniture from Pottery Barn!! The Broomfield store is a joke, just look at the reviews. Oh and the only thing I'd like to comment on today is the so called "white glove service" they claim to offer. SERIOUSLY? I kidd you not.... the two sweaty guys that delivered my two white sofas did not have gloves, did not speak english and the worst part their truck didn't even have a ramp.... so I stood outside and watched them like a hawk as they dug in the back for my two huge sofas and didn't drop them to the street. I have ended my relationship with Pottery Barn at Flatirons Mall. I ordered online, went to pick up my items. Was not acknowledged and when I tried to ask for help, the sales lady (Kath) who was standing there by drapes was too busy having a personal conversation and I was too much of a bother for her. After 30 minutes of trying to get help and being passed over for other customers, I left and walked over to Crate And Barrel and was received with four "welcomes" within the first few moments of walking in their store. I was able to order my new drapes from them in five minutes time. (not exaggerating the time). I walked back over to Pottery Barn to get a refund/cancellation of my order, which took another 45 minutes of wait time to cancel that order. The lady, Leslie trying to help me (the only one at the store) tried calling store manager, Lori, who was too busy to help her. Kath also offered her no help standing next to her. I should have checked the reviews before I ordered for pick up at this store. It was an entirely waste of time. A quick rundown: 1. Took forever before someone acknowledged me and helped me pick up my pre-ordered items 2. Turns out they ran out of certain items. I ordered a full set so a partial order was not helpful for me. 3. I asked to cancel the order. 4. Sales person said she highly recommended that she orders a full set of something similar for me and that she could waive my shipping fee. I said ok. Then she got a call on her cell phone (so I'm assuming it's not for work) and then started chatting for awhile. She told me "don't worry, I'm multitasking" and then continued on her call. 5. The order screen she eventually showed me was exactly the same screen had I ordered online myself. And "waiving the shipping fee" was not actually a waive, as there was already no shipping fee based on current promotions. So in other words, I could have done this all myself, way faster, instead of waiting there for her to "multitask". 6. I asked her why can't I just order this myself. She said "Do you not want us to stay open?" So I guess their commission justifies disrespecting my time. Pros: Both stars are for the store itself. It is always clean, with nice ambiance and product presentation. The employees, from the manager on down, have always been very nice and attentive. Cons: PotterIKEA Barn is for people with too much money. It's a horribly run company that treats its own furniture like it's disposable to their customers. Basically, it's Rolls Royce pricing with Yugo service. The details: I have a complete "Farmhouse" bedroom set. Six grand, out the door. I've had three issues, none of which are in any way exceptional. Issue 1: Touch up paint, 'cause furniture gets scratched. My furniture is in the "Espresso" color, which they've had for years on end. Attempting to match this color would require dragging the headboard, dresser, etc., to Sherman Williams and having them try to color-match it with their scanner. PotterIKEA Barn doesn't make touch-up paint in either liquid or wax (read: "Crayon") form. The manager mentioned that they have several different shades of Espresso. SO WHAT?! How much does it cost to make a crayon??? Issue 2: Two lost screws. Screws. The whole bed uses the same type of screw (flat hex-head, in three lengths). Seriously, how cheap can PotterIKEA Barn possibly be? I had to go to FASTENAL and buy screws there. They aren't an exact match, but close enough, I guess. Issue 3: Bed frame supports. I decided to change from using box springs to just a mattress on the platform. This requires using longer supports under the bed's center brace. You can guess how this story goes, huh? I spent $40 on hardwoods, milled them this afternoon, and they are glued and clamped as I write this. Wish me luck drilling the necessary holes tomorrow and installing the hardware from the shorter supports. I've never asked for anything for free, even though their furniture costs enough that the things I've needed should be have been delivered to my house by Santa Claus and accompanied by a courtesy back massage. The fact that PotterIKEA Barn offers literally ZERO customer support is completely unacceptable. read more

The actual items from Pottery Barn are nice, and the service at the location is good. The people that work in the store are helpful and have a great eye. However, that is where the fun ends. Once your order is placed, and you wait 6+ months for your items to come in, if you encounter any issues (like I did with multiple items that were "lost" or just never delivered when they were supposed to, and replacement items would take another 6 months), the helpful salespeople who you spent thousands with are nowhere to be found. After multiple emails and escalations to the store manager, nothing. Interacting with the 1800 customer service people and warehouse staff is your only option, and while they try to help, nothing was resolved except a refund for lost items and losing 7 months of waiting time. I made a purchase from this store on the phone to be picked up in person the following day. I received poor customer service on the phone. The woman taking my order refused to give me the address of the store until the order was complete. I asked if it was in Boulder and she said it was. She finished taking my order and I asked her if she could email me a receipt. She said "I have already passed that screen." I told her I needed to speak with a manager to get a receipt sent to me. She put me on hold and then a woman - who is not the manager - came on the phone. She said the manager was too busy. She said she would take a pic of the receipt and email it to me. I asked her where the store was located and she said Broomfield - which is NOT Boulder. I told her I was dissatisfied with the service I had received from the associate who took my order yet she honestly did not seem to care. I looked on the map and Broomfield is half an hour away from Boulder. So the associate lied to me to make the sale. Or she just didn't want to take the time to tell me where the store was because it would inconvenience her. To be lied to about where a store is located by an associate is a first for me! Such a sense of entitlement from a spoiled young person is such a shame. She doesn't know the first thing about treating someone with respect. The apathy and rudeness from a local ignorant young person are truly to be pitied. I looked online to try to find out the name of the district manager for the Broomfield store and all I could see were job postings for Pottery Barn store managers in the area. I guess it is hard finding good help these days. The Broomfield store seems like it is operating without direction. I called yesterday to request that the lamp be sent to the Denver store for me to pick up. If it could not be done, I said I wanted a refund back I was told I would be called back yesterday. I was not. Honestly, I am not surprised. Emailed them this morning and requested a full refund. Let's see what happens now. Don't shop here. It's a joke. It's is a mismanaged circus. If you go in, ask for some peanuts and popcorn so you can at least sit back and watch the show. Worst store EVER!!! Being a Pottery Barn customer for over 10 years, I have promised to NEVER shop here again. Was told by the friendly sales staff that my kiddos bedroom furniture was in stock and ready to ship. Ordered in April 2022 and I am still waiting. I have been fully charged for the items and when I call to inquire where they are, I am repeatedly lied to by staff, hung up on, and dismissed. I understand Covid related problems, but why is Pottery Barn the only store that can charge you the full price while not being able to tell you where the items are?? And we are not talking weeks ..... it has been months. And this is not a custom bedroom set, they have the items in store and on sale!!!!!! Had they stated to me that it was on back order, that would have been fine. It was the deceitful way they took my money and then ignored me or got offended when I call to ask where the items are. We are 4 months in with no idea where my daughters furniture is .... thousands of dollars gone, and nothing to show for it. Typical commission hounds chasing a sale with no regard for customer service. And the best part is ... We entered the store 5 minutes before it closed and we were greeted by Kevin, a store manager. He wasn't aggressive (which we liked) but very nice and helpful. We saw an item we liked and it was a pleasure to do business. He told us he had no problem staying after-hours to help us with our purchase. Shopping at Pottery Barn was a mixed experience. The sales people in the actual store are helpful and great to work with. Most of the furniture is made to order so there is a bit of a wait (4-6 weeks is what you're told). Still, for higher quality, I thought I would give it a try. The staff in the store was great to work with and they offered a lot of fun suggestions. This store offers a really outgoing staff who offer 1 on 1 service. I waited 6 weeks before starting to worry and I called the 1800 number a few times inquiring about my order starting at week 4. I had to organize and get rid of my existing furniture so I was without furniture for quite some time. I also stalked the online tracking center which didn't update on 1 item. Unfortunately, they lost/misplaced one of my items without ever calling. The 1800 team were really nice to talk to but were simply unable to find my items. I went into the store (more helpful sales people got involved) and they called and escalated at week 10 with no delivery. Thankfully they found my items and scheduled a delivery within a few days. The white glove service team were communicative and called to ask if they could come early. My only suggestion to the great delivery team is to wear booties when you enter homes. It was a bit disappointing that they didn't have them to wear. Everything was awesome with the sales and delivery team. The 1800 team was also super friendly. However- loss of 2 stars because they lost my items and I had to call them and ask for help for someone to find them. read more

My husband and I had been shopping for a bedspread and pillow shams for our antique bed and had not had much success. We went into Pottery Barn in Flatirons Mall and were greeted by Sherri. There was the "perfect" spread displayed in the front of the store so we asked if it was available in a King Size. She found that she could order the spread online, and then searched across the United States to find the King Shams in Grey. The items were on sale so the supply was limited. After several calls, she found one in Louisiana and one in Minnesota. There was a mix up with color and price with one, so she straightened that out and found another one in the correct color. Sherri even called the next day to make sure that everything was taken care. Because of the excellent customer service, we will be shopping at this particular Pottery Barn again. This is the second headboard and frame I've purchased from pottery barn at Flatirons Mall that was delivered with missing parts and the wrong rails that don't even meet the headboard. And the sales crew could have cared less when I called and expressed concern that this was a Christmas present and I didn't want the same experience I had 2 years before. Bed was ordered November and delivered end of March and can't be assembled because of inadequate parts. The delivery crew took the bed back and a representative from Pottery Barn called and said we are rescheduling delivery of the bed in a week. That's today. Daughter took off work to be there for delivery and just got a call that they are just now sending the bed back to the factory and there is no bed being delivered today. I'll never buy anything "in-store" from this Pottery Barn again. I went in one day to order a custom upholstered sofa, and I regret that day ever since. The sales associates seemed unknowledgeable and inconvenienced by me at best. I don't know if they're overworked or just not interested in helping people, but they made me feel like I needed an appointment just to look at items in the store. When I was finally ready to order, they failed to apply a discount code I had clearly requested (and they already had the confirmed the coupon worked), so my card was charged for the full amount. I thought calling them to explain the discrepancy would do the trick, but I was wrong. Instead, I was told the charge would be removed and they would re-charge the purchase with the new discounted amount when the custom sofa was complete and ready the ship. A few weeks later, my card was charged again for the FULL amount, and I, once again, found myself on the phone with my bank, the in-store associates, and the corporate office, to try to fix their mistake. Ordering this sofa has now costed me a dozen phone calls, more lackluster and standoffish demeanor from their store associates because they can't figure out how to fix their own mistake, and to top it all off, I still don't even know the final price of my purchase, which is supposedly shipping out soon. This is a circus, and not in the entertaining sense. If you're going to sell custom upholstered furniture, please figure out how to sell it without customers having to call everyone involved in the chain of production and payment processing. read more

I love when going into a PB store and the sales people help you create, update and design your living room, dining or bedroom! This is NOT WHAT HAPPENS AT THE FLATIRON STORE, unfortunately. I have shopped at this store hundreds of times and each time I realize I should have just ordered online. The customer service is about the same. I only wish there was another store to go to. It's such a treat going down to shop in arizona at the store near us there! The service and design team say hello, they offer fun design ideas, and give you incredible customer service. I loved my new furniture. However, the delivery drivers ran over a curb at my neighbors home. They damaged their water line and two curb stops. As we our not in the city I'm liable to pay for these. I contacted Pottery Barn. They referred me to the delivery company. I've tried numerous times over the last year to contact the delivery company. So my furniture ended up costing the white glove the delivery fee plus $1350. There hasn't been any response from the delivery company. Pottery Barn unwilling to refund the white glove service charges for the delivery. Bottom line DON'T GET ANYTHING DELIVERED! If they do damage neither Pottery Barn nor the delivery service will contact you back. read more

Really disappointed in the staff that works at this location. Pottery Barn has discontinued the Great White square plates, I went yesterday (Monday 1/29) to go buy the rest they had in stock as I was told they had 40-50 left. First the store was not open at 11am (they shut down during business hours to count inventory) which to me is bizarre to lose money shutting down a whole day instead of doing inventory count outside of business hours. I left the mall and called, the associate told me they would be re-opening at 6pm. I called two other times in the day to verify that they would still be opening, I drive 45 out of my way and arrive at 6:30pm and they are still closed. I called again and she said it would be at least another 2 hours. After driving 45 minutes out of my way twice in one day I was furious. There was another older couple that had been walking around the mall for 2 hours as they were also told they would be opening at 6pm. If customers are driving to your store because you said you were opening at 6 then you should open at 6, otherwise they should have stated they were unsure when they would be done doing inventory and I would have planned to come another day. We ordered a bunk bed for my son as a surprise for his birthday. The bunk bed arrived within a week (good news here, as past orders from PB either were sent to the wrong address or never arrived at all). The bed arrived with significant damages and was returned. After 12 calls to PB delivery, NO ONE had any information when a new bed would be delivered and were incredibly rude on the phone. We ended up walking into the store to speak with the manager, Lori (very friendly and tried to help). However, she did indicate that maybe the issue was we "accidentally blocked PB's phone number, which is why they couldn't contact you." This was clearly not the case. And maybe better customer service to not blame. She ensures someone would call us soon. No one ever called. We've called multiple more times. Still no information. And no bed. read more

I started out on May 1st with furnishing my new home. Lamps, rugs, desks, kitchen table and chairs, couch, love seat, coffee table, end tables, bed head board, love seat for bedroom cabinet, office desk, umbrella. I like the Pottery Barn style which is why I went to them. I spent almost $20K. The service the day I was in the store was good. From there it has been nothing but difficult. The items were all orders online by the specialized store staff. The lamps ended up being in back order for for 6 weeks. I canceled. The shades arrived and I returned them. The two carpets arrived, however, the carpet pads were at the store and was to be delivered and the first time the person came to my house, they were forgotten. I had to wait weeks for them to come back. I bought a new desk for my office. Two pieces came. The third piece has still not arrived. It was lost in a back order somewhere. I had that returned and canceled that order. The sofas are all on backorder until July. I cant cancel as I special orders colored. Believe me, I would cancel if I could. I canceled and returned some items and still have not received credit. Because I canceled an item I was then charged almost $300 for one kitchen table to be delivered That is not what i was told. No one calls me from the store to say there is a back order. No one calls me to say my shipping charges have increased. Once I left the store there was no customer service. I have to keep calling them. The coffee table arrived with a defective drawer. I was told someone would contact me. I still have not heard from anyone. My bill arrives with no description of what I ordered and when I call they say their bills are always non-descriptive. The amounts do not match up. Once again I have to spend days getting someone on the phone to help me figure this out. They said I really need to come to the store as they can't help me over the phone. Once I get everything delivered I will be disputing some of these overpriced and unauthorized delivery charges. I will only buy what I can walk out of the store with from now on or what the catalog gives me as a guarantee delivery with all the pricing up front. read more

I ordered some items online and after receiving them, realized I wanted one of them in a smaller size. Well, PB does not make returning or exchanging easy! I called the store and was told they didn't have the item I wanted in the store, and she couldn't tell me how the return process worked for online items. I called the main PB number and a very helpful lady was able to assist me. However, PB would not honor the sale price I had originally paid, and was going to charge me more shipping to return and exchange the item. I already paid over $10 to ship the original items. I have never paid return shipping to exchange items at other retailers! The lady on the phone waived the fee at my request. I was still disappointed they could not honor the sale price I had paid. I had been looking for a new bed-frame for a while. I finally found one that I liked from the Pottery Barn. I went into their store at the FlatIron Crossing Mall and saw that they had a floor model of it which made me want it even more. I asked for a quote of the exact model off the floor and they quoted me $1,300. I went off to look at a couple different beds at other stores. The next day (5/24/15) I was back and had decided to purchase it, even though it was a little more money than I wanted to spend. I waited around for about an hour just walking around the store while they put the order through, when I hear my name. The manager told me that the woman helping me both days not only put the order in wrong that she quoted me wrong and if I wanted the bed it was going to be $1,600. After spending an hour in the store, I said fine I didn't care. After another hour in the store the order was finally finished correctly. I asked when I should be receiving the bed, they said probably around 7/15/15. 7/15/15 came and went and I called Pottery Barn, they said they weren't sure where my bed was but I should get a call probably around 7/23/15. 7/23/15 came and went. I called again and they said again they weren't sure where the bed was, but I should hear something by the end of the month. Finally on 7/27/15, I received a call (more than a month later) asking when they could deliver. We agreed on 7/1/15 and my husband and I went about taking our old bed-frame apart and making the room ready for the new bed-frame and also decided my husband would stay home from work for the delivery. By this time, I had already received the bill from Pottery Barn, without even having the bed. While at work, I received the phone call that the delivery men were ahead of schedule and could come in 30 min to delivery my headboard which I was fine with. After I got off the phone, I wondered why the delivery man said head board and not bed-frame. I called the 1-800 number and asked Pottery Barn what exactly is being delivered and they told me only the head board. I asked them where the rest was and once again they said they weren't sure and I might receive it on 7/25/15. I was stunned, that would mean that Pottery Barn was expecting full payment on this bed before I actually received it and 2 full months would go by since the order. I hung up and told my husband to decline the head board and went off to a meeting at work. After my meeting, I noticed that I had a message on my phone. The message stated how sorry Pottery Barn was and that I should be receiving my full bed-frame by 8/5/15. What happened in the last hour that 7/25 went to 8/5? I called up Pottery Barn again and explained this whole situation from start to finish, not leaving a detail out. I said because of all this I do not want the bed. The person on the phone was very nonchalant about the whole thing and said he would get me a refund. I actually expected that they would try to make the situation right, but they didn't. I proceeded to ask him, "I know this whole ordeal is not your fault and I am not trying to sound mean, but everyone at the Pottery Barn seems fine with this situation and I want to know if this happens a lot." He told me it didn't happen often and it is a very unique case. I got my refund and hung up the phone. Since friends/acquaintances new I was getting a new bed, they started asking about it. I told them my story and believe it or not, people told me if they knew I was getting it from the Pottery Barn, they would have warned me. I have now heard 3 different stories of people stating the same thing happened to them. I will never again shop at the Pottery Barn. read more
