Spent $10,000 on outdoor furniture a year and a half ago. The furniture is completely coming apart. I called customer service and they suggested that I call a furniture repair company. When I explained that I didn't plan to pay $10,000 for furniture less than 2 years ago and then pay to repair it because of the quality they asked me if I stored the furniture outdoors or if I brought it inside. Well of course I stored it outdoor it is outdoor furniture. Their website clearly states the furniture is remarkably resistant to sun, rain, heat and cold. Very disappointed!! I purchased a couch the Pierce Roll Arm sectional earlier this year with the highest upgrade of fabric for $5K thinking now that my kids are grown and out we could find one that would last. It has not even been a year since and the fabric is defective and it looks like I've had it for 5 years. They talked me into the high end fabric for wear. it has pilled, looks dirty and worn out and the cushions are awful as they do not keep their shape. They offered me the "Gleener" which DOES NOT work on this fabric and denied any remedy after several calls which I find to be unacceptable. Customer service has done nothing but bounce me around. I will never buy another thing from this company. Too expensive and no customer service. Their products do not hold up as one would expect for the price. read more

I'm a fan of Pottery Barn. I order from their catalog or website mainly. I particualrly like their Christmas ornaments this year which has a mix of new and old. I've been to their store at Lenox (which is my favorite) and their location in Alpharetta at The Avalon. This location at the Mall of Georgia is located next to Forever 21 and J Crew. If you're coming from the Food court make a right by Starbucks they're the 8th store on the right side. I thought the store was nice and neatly organized. They have a lot of sales on their Christmas decor which was what I was coming in to check out. What irked me was the employees at this store. They walked past me twice and pretended I wasn't there. In fact the woman that was working that day nearly walked into me and didn't say a word. There was a man that was also working in the back behind a counter that was at the center of the store. He made eye contact with me and then turned around and begin telling an employee what to do. This is not the kind of Pottery Barn experience that I get at Lenox Mall when I'm there. Bad attitudes are in greater supply than beautiful furniture at this location! The snippy, rude, curt, snobby sales associates here literally must be trained in the art of alienating possible customers when they are hired. If being looked down upon, or ignored, or barely acknowledged even when you make a purchase is your thing, shop here. It's been this way for years and years. I'm just finally taking the time to give y'all the heads up after yet another nasty visit today. Enough! Corporate needs to overhaul management and sales associates at this location. I love potterybarn but I strongly dislike shopping in person at this store. The employees here are the biggest snobs I have ever met! No one ever comes up to greet you and they act inconvenienced when you ask a question. They look down on you as if you can't afford anything in the store. I am about to purchase a bedroom set from here and once I told them that they suggested I purchased it here at the store because it helps them. Why would I want to them if they didn't want to help me in the first place?! I'll still to ordering online. So sad - and I visit this store a lot because my mom lives in Buford. read more

Pottery Barn is lovely, but the employees at this location are actually the worst. They are rude and stuck up but also somehow incompetent. For my order, they spelled my name, my email address, and my shipping address wrong after I literally spelled them out letter by letter, and then told me that I would have to call customer service to fix it. Also, I paid in cash and they did not tell me until after I paid that I could only get a gift card back if I wanted to return it. I'm just not sure how a group of people can be so stuck up but also not good at their seemingly somewhat straightforward job. read more

If money was no object, I'm pretty sure I would not only hire Pottery Barn to furnish and decorate my next home, but design and build it too!!! We probably are in that group of buyers who are "just looking" most of the time when shopping here, but occasionally we can afford a paycheck or two for a nice item. Just walking in the store will cause a creative persons mind to EXPLODE with possibilities. Even though most of their pieces are mass produced, they sure feel like authentic originals. Take their dining tables for example. Well crafted and have an aged feel by combining reclaimed wood and rustic metal. My experience with Pottery Barn special order furniture has been horrible. Their store personnel is excellent and I love my designer. However, I would strongly advise not to order any custom order furniture. 4 months later I have nothing to show except a bill. Their customer service department gives you conflicting information. When you call you get transferred from one person to another without any explanation and you sit for 30+ minutes in their cue system every time you get transferred. The personnel is rude and notl informed. You ask for a supervisor thinking they may have more knowledge and you get routed back to the same number you initially called and get back on a cue with someone with even less knowledge.
