Once we had ordered and went to sit down I saw that five out of the eight or so tables were all dirty. I asked her for a rag and told her I would clean off my table, and in fact that I would clean off all the tables and she handed me two napkins. I said I really need more than this. She took quite a while to get me a clean, wet rag. The trashcan was so disgusting. I did not want to touch it to open the cover to throw my trash scraps out. She went and sat down at a table, watching her show on her phone the rest of the time we were there unless someone came to place an order. Like I said, the food was good, but I feel scared of what the kitchen looks like. And when you're talking about fresh fish, you need things to be clean, clean clean.

My friends and I each ordered different bowls (Tempeh, Salmon and Pork) and they all looked as delicious as they actually were. The presentation was delicate and the contents were very tasty. The preselected combination of ingredients seems very well thought out and I'd be more than happy to go back and try something different next time. Last but not least, the place is neat, cozy and quiet and the service was fast and friendly. I would 100% recommend trying this place out.

We found Le Don on Yelp. Nice interesting decor…read more Le Don has an inexpensive lunch special. We also ordered the signature dumplings : delicious with pleasant ginger notes. The broccoli soup was excellent. Same for the house salad with crispy chickpeas. We enjoyed the Impossible burger and the mushroom risotto: the mushroom risotto is one if the best risottos we've had the privilege to enjoy. The meal was capped with a delicious blueberry crumble and vegan soy latte. Service was fast, friendly and efficient.

Le Don is a serious vegan restaurant with a chill yet lively atmosphere. We visited on a Monday…read moreevening and the place was packed to the brim -- after about a 30 min wait, we were luckily the last couple to be seated! We started with the panko-fried cauliflower, a creative take on the veggie served with a vibrant green herbaceous sauce that added an interesting layer of flavor. For entrées, I really enjoyed the tostadas -- well-executed Mexican flavors loaded with veggies, cheese, and surprisingly satisfying plant-based "meat" chunks. The Thai tofu and vegetable soup was warm and hearty, although the flavors were a little too subtle for us and could have packed more punch. For dessert, the eleven-layer chocolate cake certainly looked decadent, but unfortunately the vegan interpretation of this indulgent classic didn't quite hit the mark for us. Service was warm and friendly, though a bit slow -- perhaps we're just spoiled by the pace of NYC dining! Overall, Le Don impresses with its creative concept, varied menu, and cozy atmosphere. Set moderate expectations & it's definitely worth a stop for a relaxed vegan meal in Quebec City.

The pear martini with gin was bright and elegant, lightly sweet with a clean botanical finish that felt refined rather than sugary. The MSG with mezcal cocktail brought a smoky, adventurous character with depth and balance that made it stand out. The chili con carne was pure comfort. Rich, slow-cooked flavor, hearty without being heavy, and perfectly complemented by fresh greens and crisp bread. What truly elevated the experience was the amazing service from our waitress. Warm, attentive and effortlessly welcoming, she made the entire meal feel relaxed and personal, the kind of hospitality that turns a good dinner into a memorable one. A charming local spot with thoughtful drinks, satisfying food and genuinely exceptional service

Great French Bistro experience off Rue St. Jean…read more Food, service, & ambiance was great, the owner Louis is a great photographer as well. LOL. Started with a few favorites from the fabulous waitress who took great care to go over the menu with my group before we ordered. The French Onion and Creamy Tomato were both excellent. In particular, the French Onion might be the best iteration I've ever had. The crusted cheesy, bready top held up well to savory broth and caramelized onions. The Buvette, Tartare, and Escargot were all also very delicious. The Buvette was tender and beefy on top of a bed of cream of corn, roasted corn and tomato caramel for a slight sweetness. The Tartare was a classic rendition, beefy and mustardy, and one of the few times I've had tartare that was filling. After our meal I was snapping a photo of the restaurant and the owner Louis saw me and took a few photos for me. He's an excellent photographer as well!

So far staff is friendly and nice and so far in our Canadian vacation montreal and Quebec City this is the quickest service so far. All other sit down restaurants are pretty slow maybe it's a Canadian thing but pleasantly surprised at the prompt service and checking in on us. Lots of college kids here it's almost 10pm well University Laval just down the street so it's a hip young crowd not a problem for me ! Food is not bad nachos were good but no beans otherwise pretty typical of what you'd get in the states or at least California. Where it's all Spanish speaking , speaking of which not to many mexican restaurants or people around here. Seen plenty of McDonald's ,Burger King ,A&W, subway ,KFC, it's PFK poulet fried Kentucky I guess. So wings were fried right and thrown in a sauce we ordered hot pretty vinegary speaking if which why do all the places have vinegar packets as condiments even at McDonald's I suppose they sprinkle it on their fries. Ok so the rest if the good pizZa thing soso needed some sauce. Salad pretty good and my beer well that was excellent. Held myself to just one. Anyways not a bad place for out last night in quebec tomorrow back home to Cali was a fun eating adventure. Au revoir !
