Despite of all the reviews, I decided to give this nail salon a shot. All I can say is, you get your money's worth. I called before coming in to make sure they can take me in and the person said yes. I came in and got the fastest manicure ever. She painted my nails so fast that it bubbled and the nail polish was on my skin. If I need a pedicure or my nails done, I can walk into Poulsbo Nails up by the DMV at any time and I get it done here. Rarely do I make an appointment. They do a good job. Okay, not the fanciest but I don't want or need fancy. Many places turn you away if you don't have an appointment. Not here. And where can you get a good pedicure with hot rocks for $20????? If I want to pamper myself with a friend, I may go to a fancier salon, but for the most part, I just need to get it done and they are pleasant and efficient. While this place is nothing fancy, the prices are good and the family who runs it is very nice. Even though I had never been in before, they treated me very warmly and were able to get me in right away. I have been to this nail salon a few times in the past. Honestly, I probably will not be coming back to this nail salon because of it is not very clean at all. There are only 2 people working there, so I would make an appointment to make sure they have time for you if you decide to go here. Small, quaint salon. We were treated quickly and I think it showed. My polish was painted over my cuticles so my manicure started to lift very quickly after getting them done. With shellac, I was expecting them to last more than at least one week. As well as my manicure lifting, my cuticles started to crack and tear because the shellac was taking it as it lifted. As my friend was getting her nails done, she had to ask repeatedly for her whole nail to be painted- since only the most middle parts of her nails were being painted and not the sides. When my other friend was getting a pedicure, she could tell he wasn't very happy with how she took care of her feet. That obviously didn't make her feel very good. I took my daughter to Poulsbo Nails for a Mom & Daughter mani/pedi excursion. I should have know when I was able to get in right away (I called on the phone, made an appointment for 45 minutes from the phone call and when I asked if he needed my name for the appointment, he said "no") that it would not be a great experience. We walked in and there was a man and woman (I assumed they were husband and wife) working on a family of three. My daughter and I were guided to the last two chairs. We sat there with our feet soaking for 20-25 minutes before the man started working on me. Nobody started on my daughter for another 10-15 minutes. The selection of nail polish is small. The hand and foot massage received lasted a total of 3 minutes each. I felt very rushed. He cut my cuticle so TAGT it bled. He scraped my calf raw when he was trying to pumice my feet. The salon was dirty. They had stuff stashed behind each pedi chair. They had us walk from the pedi chairs to the nail chairs with our bare feet. I hope we don't get a fungus! The only positive thing I can say is that both of them were very nice. read more

I've had my nails done nearly everywhere in Poulsbo, and Poulsbo Nails is by FAR my favorite place to go! Located next to the Department of Licensing, this business goes above and beyond for customer service. They are the most gentle place I've found both when filling and when removing and doing a full set of acrylics. Most nail techs at other salons aren't too concerned with whether or not they are hurting you - that is not the case at Poulsbo Nails. If you mention that something hurts or tickles, they modify their approach accordingly. On top of caring about how the service feels, they also care about how your nails look when you go. Definitely the best round shaping I've gotten. Today, I also explored with having designs painted on the nails - they were still quick in the service, and the end result is beautiful! The pedicures are also fantastic - very relaxing, and my feet look and feel great. Price is very affordable. Fill with painted nail design was only $25! I think the removal and new full set a few weeks back was only $35. As long as I live in Poulsbo, I'll be going to Poulsbo Nails. read more

Went here with my mom before our Europe trip for mani/pedis with shellac. They forgot to put on a top coat on one hand and then had to fix it. They also put the top coat on my skin, glueing the nail to my finger. They fixed that as well but it's not a great job. I will not go back even though the owners were nice people. read more

Really bad experience. I went in for a fill and pedi. The woman was very rough with the filling while she was doing my fill and cut me near the top of one nail. She also filed one of my nails crooked, and then tried to blame it on my previous service (as if I hadn't been living with these nails before I went in, and wouldn't have noticed if they were crooked?). It was kind of nuts. She got irritated when I asked her to do really basic things like re-file the crooked nails and clean the sides of some nails that were dirty. At the end of my fill, she refused to do my pedi. I have had acrylics for years, and this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Don't go here. read more

I'd say WELL WORTH the $20 I spent for a spa pedicure - which is exactly that - bubbly warm water to soak your feet in, then feet pampering, leg massaging, followed up by hot stone massage *YES hot stone!*, plus Opi color... for only $20! Maybe I'm picky but when my last set (from a diff salon) lasted almost a month even when I cracked one, this set from poulsbo nails should have lasted more than 4 days before peeling off.. wasted my money for convenience of location.. won't be back. If I could give zero stars I would. Don't go here. First I called for an appointment 3 weeks in advance for our wedding party, and got price quotes which were a good price for what everybody wanted done. Our party got there (7 people) and they only had 2 people working. They ended up double booking, so people who made appointments after we made ours were put in ahead of us. They did not do a good job, by that evening several people's gel nails were chipping. Since we came in 2 groups, several of us went to pay and the price was 50% more than was quoted. When we protested, the lady running the cash register kept pointing to the prices listed on their board which by the way weren't consistent. We weren't charged consistently for similar services. We ended up paying and the remainder of our party left to get their nails done elsewhere. We were in the van getting ready to leave and the same lady had the nerve to come out and accuse us of not paying. She was trying to detain us in the parking lot when we finally had to just drive away after we kept assuring her that we had paid.
