I had a terrible experience with Pound Ridge Painting. Melvin and his crew used Elmer's interior wood filler all over the exterior of my house. When I questioned Melvin at the time he said it's fine they use it all the time. Now the paint is peeling everywhere and the owner Pat Reddy won't come back to fix the mess his crew made and won't stand behind the guarantee that is written into the contract. Unbelievable!! You don't need to be a painting contractor to know you don't use interior wood filler on the exterior! I called Elmer's and they said you never use interior wood filler for an exterior application. It's not rated for exterior use. I spoke to a real painting expert and he said Pound Ridge Painting used it because it's much easier for them to sand the interior formula. So they took a major short cut at my expense! Now I'm stuck with a house with peeling paint after only one year, in fact it started peeling within a few months of the job completion. Stay far, far away from this painting company. They will take your money and give you a lousy paint job. I'm meeting with an attorney now to take Patrick Reddy to court.
