I don't know where to begin with THG painting. What a nightmare using this company for house renovations. Teddy is extremely unprofessional, a liar, cheat, and a person I never want to come in contact with again. We bought our house in December 2018, and were expecting our second son in March. Teddy guaranteed us that our house would be ready in a month. 4 months later, my son was born and our house wasn't ready. I was extremely anxious and stressed during my pregnancy because of Teddy. Lets begin with his lies. He is a pathological liar and gets away with lies because they seem believable and gets away with customers not following up. We heard that his car broke down, his painter cut his finger on the job, someone stole his laptop out of his car, his brothers car broke down, the weather held them up,he had to go to the ER because of his eye, fights with his electricians, other jobs screwing him over (and many more) Here are the 3 biggest lies that we will take him to court. We authorized him to charge our credit card 1x for a window. Found out it was charged 2x and asked him about it and he said it was a mistake by the company. We told him we wanted a refund back and he said their computers were down and that he "cursed the store, Hatch & Bailey, out" (a lie). Then he said it's too much of a hassle to refund us back so he would "take it off of our estimate". We went to Hatch & Bailey to talk about our account. They explained that Teddy used our CC twice, and that it was NO mistake. THAT IS FRAUD. He cuts corners. In our contract, HW floors get three coats of poly. They only did 2.Also, our walls would have 2 coats of paint and our downstairs only has 1.You can see the paintbrush across the top of wall and doesn't blend in. The sheet rock wasn't done right as there is a crack where they were suppose to smooth it out. Our new HW floors weren't put in right and the poly came off already when I put painters tape on the floor.I wouldn't trust the guys he has doing his work as he has "PAINTERS" doing CARPENTRY!They did an awful job putting tile in for my bathroom and laundry room.The marble is cracked and wanted white grout and he put in gray grout.Tiles have popped up and not cut right.Looks terrible. LTeddy also doesn't know how to measure things.He had us order backsplash tile for our kitchen and had us order way more than we needed. someone else installed my kitchen backsplash but they mentioned that they took our marble tile and threw it in a bucket in our garage and chipped many pieces that couldn't be used. extremely sloppy on the job. They had tons of garbage outside in front of our house for months.Teddy charged us for 2 dumpsters, when in fact, didn't have any (even though lied they were off site). The third lie;We had a kitchen island installed and there are all holes in it and dents. Same with our brand new kitchen cabinets. Our cabinets are crooked and have chips and dents because they were sloppy and careless on the job. Teddy also asked for the remaining money for our kitchen as the company was asking for it. This was back in January. We found out that Teddy took that money and used it for another job and admitted that to us. He never paid the company where we were getting our kitchen essentials. That delayed us 3 weeks more because they wouldn't give Teddy the granite countertops. Teddy was planning on using the remaining balance we owed him to then pay off the kitchen. He didn't have any break down/receipts of things we asked for. when we confronted him about it he would get defensive and make up an excuse. After calling him out and knowing we were on to him, he admitted his lies about the kitchen, as he played the victim card (which he has done on numerous occasions). During the 3 week delay of countertops (again, us having a newborn at home), he stated that our countertops could not be delivered at first, because it was drizzling. The next date for delivery did not happen because of "hairline fractures" in the granite and that they had to order new counters. Again, admitted they were all lies. We noticed upstairs white scratch marks on our newly stained floors. He had one of his "painters" come fix it instead of his floor guy and ruined our floors upstairs. Teddy claimed it would "cure" but it still hasn't. He said he would have his stain guys come back and redo the floors and that never happened. We had all new doors replaced and because he doesn't know how to measure correctly there are huge gaps on the bottom of the door to the floor and it looks terrible. It was the worst decision to have Teddy and his company renovate our house and now are looking at thousands of dollars to redo all of his mistakes. We have turned friends and family away from THG Painting because of the scam artist that he is. Teddy and THG Painting are scammers, liars, unprofessional, insensitive, and heartless. They did an extremely poor job with our house, consistency lied along the way, and scammed us for our money. read more
