I first started my training with Chris Mags about 9 months ago. Working out at Cutz has always been…read moresomething I wanted to do as I always see them being tagged on body builder and athletes social media profiles. I was finally able to do so and can't express how happy I am that I finally did. Before working out with Chris I was fairly athletic and went to the gym about 5 to 6 days a week. I used all the apps and went off of what people posted online. I was just never really able to get my body to where I wanted. Thats where I am happy I finally met Chris as he pushes me every workout to get closer and closer to my goal body. Due to his training I was finally able to reach a goal that I had always set for myself but could never accomplish. He helped me get there with such ease, that, I was finally able to question myself, and wonder how far I can push myself and how much more I can grow with his help. In the darkest times during COVID Chris helped not only push me in accomplishing goals, but also be there as a friend to help me through mental and emotional stress I struggled with. He became not only my trainer but also my psychiatrist and a great friend. Being gay I was very nervous going to a gym that is known for body building, but quickly I realized that the environment is extremely friendly and a no judgement zone. Everyone helps to motivate each other and not just be friends at the gym but outside the gym as well. Chris goes the extra mile to create friendships between clients that extend outside the gym. The friendships with his other clients and him helps make the obstacles in achieving fitness goals easier. Whether its from pushing yourself for the last rep, or helping in eating the right things, Chris and friends at Cutz help you get there. Not just so you can physically look how you want but, to help you get to a better wellbeing. I have personally gained about 25lbs in muscle all thanks to Chris's help. I would recommend Chris's program to anyone that truly wants to change their life and reach goals they have trouble achieving on their own. The hardest part of the journey is taking the first step, going in. After that it becomes a whole lot easier, because you have Chris as your trainer, therapist, motivational coach, and most importantly, as your friend, to stand with you and help you the rest of the way. PS. Always bring your own pre-workout. ( Feel free to ask about what this means on your first day xD )

I knew I had to take action to get myself to a place where I didn't feel awful anymore, so I stepped into Cutz Training Facility. I was scared my first session, not knowing what I was getting into and did not think I would last through the entire one-hour workout. I pushed and got through it, moving my body in ways I didn't even think was possible. The trainers and members of the gym were so motivating and patient with me. I immediately felt like I was part of a family. I came back and kept at it for a week. I took a chance and officially joined the six week transformation program. I can honestly say that it was truly life-changing... I was skeptical at first and didn't think I'd lose any weight, especially given my love for food. I initially wanted to drop 5 lbs and improve my mental health. Six weeks later, I dropped 13 lbs, averaging a drop of 2 to 3 lbs a week! I'm beyond my six weeks and I am still dropping weight at the same rate --on my own from everything I learned through the program! The crazy thing is, there was NO MEAL PLAN. I was still able to continue my current lifestyle and eat the foods I loved. The trade-off I had to make was to eat in moderation and incorporate more protein and vegetables, which was easier to accomplish than I thought. I am so incredibly grateful for the experience I gained from Arman and all the trainers at the gym - Jose, Richelle, Karina, Chris, Erica. Everyone is truly wonderful to work with, genuinely cares about your well-being, and pushes you hard to achieve your desired results. Cutz has all my love! The program has not only improved my overall health, but has also inspired me to focus and prioritize what matters most to me in my personal life and my career.

But 510 changed that for me. The first day I walked in there I immediately knew this was where I was meant to get my health back. The community here is full of people you won't necessarily find just anywhere. It doesn't matter how fit you are or how fit the person next to you is, because we will be cheering you on, supporting you in a way you didn't think people did anymore. The coaches keep things fun, but also make sure you are being safe. They are hilarious and also extremely motivating. I really haven't found a gym like this since my old one closed, and to be honest, 510 is even better! I have injuries from a car accident years ago and the coaches are always ready to modify a workout for me. They are extremely knowledgeable at what they do. It doesn't matter what level you are at or if you are injured, I promise you that you won't regret stepping in those doors. It truly changed my life (physically, mentally and emotionally). Every time I go, it helps me believe in myself a little more and some of the best people I have met in my life, I met through Crossfit. Don't hesitate. Run here. You won't regret it.

Hands down. I joined last year because even though 24 hour fitness was more affordable, the machines and building were just going down hill fast. The last straw was when I had a partially torn meniscus. I couldn't go up and down stairs but I still went to the gym for rehab and for upper body. Their elevator has been out of service for WEEKS. Essentially making it nearly impossible for me to workout if I needed to use the restroom or locker rooms at all. After this I looked through multiple gyms, pricing and their benefits and went with Anytime. I absolutely LOVE that I can go to any of the AF gyms. I've been to a few others and it's been great to hit the gym when I'm traveling or on vacation. Overall Pinole AF is clean, safe and I love that I never really have had to wait for a machine. Yes the gym is small, but it makes up for it by being one of the most hygienic places I've worked out in. Most of the time if someone is on a machine they never truly hog it and I'm able to get my workout done in the time I want. I'm grateful to have found AF Pinole!

She helps me get back on my program when I slip up, gives me tips on how to eat better and live better, and really kicks my butt into gear. Prior to…read moreworking with Amy, I tried various group workout classes & gym memberships...never really getting the results I wanted and never getting "into it" enough to commit to exercising regularly for an extended period of time. My friend suggested that I look into a personal trainer, and I'm so glad that I came across Amy. She keeps me honest & holds me accountable to exercising regularly, both during and outside of my time with her. Her positive as well as no nonsense attitude has helped me find my way to a healthier lifestyle that I have been able to sustain over the years. I now know that I personally needed the dedicated attention & guidance of a trainer (which you often don't get from a large group class) to learn how to properly plank, swing a kettle bell, do a push up, etc ... as well as to identify what I need more / less of in my fitness regimen to get my desired results. One size doesn't fit all. The first time we met, Amy had me tell her my goals for training (fat burning, strengthening & toning) and then she came up with a workout plan to help me best achieve them. Amy has a great wholistic approach to training ... and I've always felt that she tries to equip me, via our workouts, to best "do life", wherever life has taken me. Examples: Because I have an office job and spend most of my work hours sitting in front of a computer ... which has led to a lot of lower back pain ... she has always incorporated movements that counteract that in the custom workouts she creates for me. She trained me, a newbie runner, through my first 5k and also trained me through my first pregnancy, so that I was strong and healthy before and after delivery. And even now, as a new mom, she always likes to make sure that I can handle 35-40 pounds like a piece of cake, since I often have to carry my 4 year old, 35 pound daughter. Quite frankly, I'm better able at walking & carrying my daughter than my husband! :) Amy is super knowledgeable and a great person / positive force to just know. You won't regret working with her.
