A staff member is there to check you in and lnsure you have all the proper paperwork to complete your transaction. When my number was called the staff member at the window was kind and answered all the questions I had. The transaction was fairly quick and easy. I always try to visit between 1 pm and 3 pm when the line is a little shorter.

Its strange that the ability to review on Google has been removed. The police in this area are a…read morebit too eager and a bit complacent. Instead of actually patrolling they sit and wait at stop signs on streets then nobody's driving on just to see how many people they can give a ticket instead of patrolling on the busier streets where people actually run the stop signs. They wait in parking lots of establishments to harass people walking out of bars or other restaurants instead of patrolling. When one person it's pulled over for a basic traffic stop it's not uncommon for about five cop cars to swarm that same person for a minor speeding offense like a hive of bees. Some of them don't even abide by their own traffic laws this includes cutting people off, speeding using their cell phones. One officer actually parked in front of a grocery store in the Red Zone just to go inside and Shop. It is a do as I say not as I do type of agency. It does no good to complain or file any sort of formal grievance because the same Bad actors will still be in power unfortunately. Instead of protecting and serving they bully people or don't help the ones who are really distressed.

The boys were invited to host the Flag Ceremony at a city council meeting. Before the meeting…read morestarted, we were lucky enough to be given a private tour by Deputy Mayor John Mullin. He was very patient with the boys, and was certainly amiable and pleasant to talk to. The grounds of the area were a great space for the boys to play an impromptu game of soccer while waiting for the meeting to start. The inside offices were as expected, and the meeting hall itself looks imposing and official. Not sure there is any reason for me to visit again (since I am not a resident of Poway to begin with). But it was a great introduction to politics to the boys who, hopefully, will become our future policymakers someday.

Was impressed immediately walking in as they had a great open courtyard with a cool grid that reflected on the ground. This would be a great event space. The library had high ceilings like skylights making it light and bright. Within 10 minutes my husband ( the avid book reader and curiosity seeker) found 3 books of interest. I was interested in the esthetics look of the place, the nice geometric carpeting. Lots of quiet work spaces and a very open design. The staff was very helpful, plus they had a seperate "friends of the library bookstore" with its own entrance outside the main library. Oh and a ton of DVD 's to check out. More then I've ever seen at a library. Wish some of that space went to CD's ( we are old achool). Now we have library to add to our location.

It's the perfect spot for family picnics, bike rides, or just spending a relaxing afternoon outside. There are also some great, yummy restaurants nearby, which makes it easy to turn your visit into a full day out. I do photography as a hobby, and this is one of my favorite locations to shoot--the scenery is beautiful, so much variety, and has so much character. Overall, it's a charming, relaxing place that I always enjoy coming back to.

There is a giant gazebo where a young musician was singing her heart out. There is a working old train, you can pay to take a ride around the park. I had an appointment and I still had to wait about an hour to be seen because they didn't have enough staff. The place was clean and there's a lot of parking. My only gripe is that there's no public restroom. A place where people have to wait a long time, should have a public restroom. Sometimes you just got to Go! When I got there I had to use the restroom (nerves). I probably had that LOST look and I was asked if I was looking for the passport office. The two or three women who were there, we very friendly. And now they automatically renew your books when you're about to be late in returning them, so that's an extra bonus. I accidentally handed in a book to this library that was supposed to have been turned into a local elementary school library. That library told me later that someone from the CMR public library had hand delivered it to the elementary school. Now that's what I call service!!

The great thing about it is that you can check out the book for 30 days! Yes 30 days! And can only be renewed up to 5 times. Once someone places it on hold, you will not be able to renew it. I checked one book out for fun reading. All the staff were super friendly and helpful.

I've taken my 1-year old here multiple times and we always find great books to check out and enjoy our time here. Plenty of places to sit and read together too. No one shushes my child when he babbles and squeals, and the front desk was incredibly helpful checking out my books when my hands were full (although the self-checkout machine is very easy and convenient as well). We love our local library.
