I have been under the weather and very unsteady on my feet and I feel so much steadier on my feet now. I feel like I am breathing better, and I anticipate less muscle tension. Much better then the other local one I went to last week. Most chiros are either too rough or too gentle. Dr Power was perfectly in the middle, which is what I requested. Before each crack he did a gentle movement that kind of stretched me and got me ready for each crack and I really liked that. The neck cracks were the gentlest I've ever had and still evoked a nice little crack. I am happy to have found a chiro in the area that I feel is helping me already. read more

Dr. Power is absolutely THEEEEE BESSSST. I've been seeing him almost 20 years. I have been to multiple other chiropractors in RECENT yrs, since unfortunately moving away from "The OC" but nobody does it like he does. I've had bigger guys, smaller women & also a guy about the same stature as Dr. Power & nobody gets me like he does. I actually have endured (more like suffered thru) the 45 min drive from L.A on days when my sciatica has come knocking to the point of near paralysis and tears just to hv him fix me. I'll barely been able to stand up straight thru the tears and I'll be hunched over like an old woman whimpering yet I'll suck it up (the drive) for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow which amounts to having Amber's amazing hands massage me for a warm up & then Tom coming in & knocking it outta the park. With a crack-crack here & a pop-pop there I am absolutely a BRAND-NEW-PERSON!!! Amber is a tiny chick but she is CRAZY strong in the way she digs in to me on my deep tissue massages. He's worth the drive EVERY TIME. I'm so tremendously spoiled by his and Amber that I just can't go ANYWHERE ELSE! Dr. Power has treated my family and I over the past 10 years. He is the consummate professional and honestly values his patients as family. Each time I have "needed" him he has diagnosed my ailment and his treatment has always been right in the money. I have seen him after a couple times my vehicle has been hit from behind. He is great with the insurance companies and he has been way more than fair with any settlements that have resulted from those accidents. The doctor is great; however, I am thoroughly disappointed with office follow-through and the business side. I signed up at the county fair for an appointment where they required $45 on the spot upfront. I said if it turns out my insurance covers my visits will I get the money refunded and both he and an assistant (a blonde woman I've never seen since that time) reassured me I would get my money back. It turned out my insurance DID cover visits and I had two visits. I'm sure my insurance was billed for the visit otherwise why would I have insurance, right? I requested in writing for a refund of my money and never got a response nor a refund. read more

Dr. Power and his staff are top notch people. He features many types of Chiropractic care from manual manipulation to electrical stimulation. Whatever you and the doctor agree upon, he'll do. He is very gentle. If you like, you can go on the spinulator. It's a table with rolling rollers, a hot towel behind your neck, a dark room, and soothing music. His office also offers Spinal Decompression, which worked awesome on my lower back discomfort. It just took it away. The office also offers a massage therapist, Amber, who may be little, but is mighty. She does deep tissue massage for getting to those "knots". And very reasonable. You can get a half hour or hour massage, then see the doctor. Between the 2 of them you'll feel awesome. I've recommended this office to many family and friends who have been against Chiropractors in general. They all come out raving and won't hesitate to go back. read more

He gave me some at home exercises/stretches to do and they have helped a ton! My back will never be the same as I use to, but going to Dr. Power has really made the difference. Unreliable and don't keep their word. You're not allowed to be treated unless you sign up to be seen for at least 1 year and must pay a month in advance. If you make the mistake of continuing into service you will also continue to be charged regardless of services rendered or not rendered. They say there is the option to opt out and they will reimburse you for any extra payment, however, I found out that was a lie. I finally got them to stop charging my card but they've refused to reimburse me 2 months worth of payments they charged my card for services not rendered. Phone calls and messages are not returned either. Extremely poor customer service and very disappointed in the thievery. As a customer, all I expect from them is to keep their word, communicate and do what's right. Unfortunately, this is not a business that believes in ethics. Take you business and hard earned money somewhere else. read more

My lower back and hip have been aching since the middle of August , when I came back from walking the hilly streets of San Francisco . thinking that I could do my own remedies of stretching and yoga and rolling ,which are all good, but the pain and discomfort persisted. so last night I go to play volleyball and I had to stop mid game because the pain was pretty serious !Needless to say , this morning I called for an appointment and I was seen by 9:30 !!Dr Power, listened to my problem and addressed it right away. Over a series of biweekly visits, Dr. Power has relieved numbness, burning and tingling in both of my hands and my left foot. He has also alleviated chronic pain in my right shoulder that's persisted for years. While back in Ohio, I had gone the the famous Cleveland Clinic to see an Orthopedic specialist; he could tell me nothing about my hand/shoulder problems. So he sent me to a vascular specialist who mumbled something about "peripheral neuropathy" on his way out the door. I was then told to go see a neurologist. By then I was disheartened and dissatisfied with my experience at this institution. Rather than continue down an endless rabbit hole of specialists, a friend highly recommended Dr. Power here in HB. Dr. Power took X-rays and diagnosed a pinched nerve in one of my cervical vertebrae. His adjustments, muscle therapy and advice on preventative measures at home (via specific stretches, hot/cold compresses and improved habits) have put me on the road to healing. It's changed my life and lifted my mood. I'm grateful to have found such a gifted chiropractor. Dr. Power has something else that's hard to come by: the Power to listen. He lends me both ears when I tell him how I'm doing or ask a question. Though he runs a busy practice, he's never to busy to hear me out. I've been seeing Dr. Power for a while. My job is very stressful, and I tend to carry it all in my neck and shoulders, which spreads everywhere else - of course! He listens to your concerns, and really cares. I've seen chiropractors who were very aggressive and actually caused pain. But Dr. Power is gentle, yet effective.
