But it's a bit tricky to find the first time, since it is through a door and up the stairs. The receptionist was really nice and had us checked in quickly and got us water. Malia and Ashley kindly greeted us and brought us to the couple's room where we got settled in. My husband said his massage was really relaxing and Ashley was able to hit a lot of pressure points he didn't know were sore and tired. Malia was AMAZING, there was a point she used hot stone on my foot, and it was hurting so much due to the plantar fasciitis, but I knew I had to endure it. She really focused on the calves and foot with heat and helped me feel relax and comfortable. After the massage, Malia really took the time to explain home remedies and what I should do to help with plantar fasciitis. Overall, 808 Wellness Spa was amazing! We had such a relaxing and great time here. After Malia's advice in taking better care of my foot and massaging it as she recommended, I feel so much better while doing my high impact sports. The practitioner bangs the bowl with a tree log every 15 seconds for 20 minutes. The Bowl specially designed and tuned to provide the receiver with a wide range of frequencies. Sound therapy and sound healing are real things. there's a chart on the wall shows how the bowl was calibrated. My partner said she felt like the vibrations made the Hammock swing a little bit She found it deeply relaxing and enjoyable. I was able to sit in the room while the session was going on and I found the sound relaxing and enjoyable as well. Not Healing--Negligent, Unprofessional, and Emotionally Harmful…read moreI've never left a negative review before, but this experience warrants one. Kevin and Shannon operate a business offering infrared sauna, PEMF, and cold plunge services out of the Wailea Healing Center. While it's marketed as a healing environment, what I experienced was serious disorganization, poor communication, and emotional volatility. I'm currently on a medical detox protocol, and regular sauna sessions are a critical part of my healing. After my first session with Kevin, he told me to coordinate payment and future scheduling through Shannon. I texted and called her multiple times--no response. Kevin continued to schedule me and eventually asked me to pay him $200 in cash, which I did. Shannon finally texted me and scheduled two sessions, but on the morning of the first, she canceled--saying it was Mother's Day, despite having booked it herself. I was polite, even though I had organized my day around that session. I then missed the next appointment--just one--after a lengthy medical treatment. I called Kevin to apologize and offered to pay. Instead of responding with empathy or professionalism, he launched into an intense and angry rant, accusing me of being difficult, blaming me for scheduling later in the day, and telling me not to book with him again. His tone was deeply unsettling and completely out of proportion. After that, I contacted Shannon again, but she ignored my text and voicemail, and Kevin made no effort to follow up or assist. Working with them wasn't healing--it was harmful and distressing. To be clear: this review is about Kevin and Shannon only. I met Rebecca, the owner of Wailea Healing Center, and she was lovely. Other services there may be worthwhile--but I strongly recommend avoiding Kevin and Shannon.
