I just had a very unfortunate experience with Power Equipment Company. I dropped off two pieces of…read moreequipment for service. One was an out-of-warranty weed whacker and the other was a hedge trimmer that was still under Ryobi warranty. (Power equipment Company was listed as a service center on the Ryobi 800# at the time.) The owner was not present and the employee I dealt with was not trained in store procedures. I completed no paperwork and was given only a store business card and told the owner would call back. Steve called to say that they no longer do warranty work for Ryobi as they had trouble with reimbursements. The weed whacker was not worth the cost of repair, but there would be a $50 service estimate fee just for looking at it. This estimate fee was never mentioned at the time I dropped it off and we would never have paid $50 just for diagnostics! Would anybody? It seems if you seriously want a fee for estimates, you need to bill it before you give a repair estimate that is more than the replacement cost of the item! We will not pay $50 just to pick up a broken machine. But, Steve saw an opportunity to blackmail us and refuses to return our Ryobi trimmer unless we pay the service estimate fee for the weed whacker. But, they DO NOT even service Ryobi. Why did they accept the Ryobi at all? We would simply like our property to be returned. Even if the machine cannot be repaired, the battery pack has a value of ~ $50 to us. Steve and his wife Tori seem to really believe their policy makes sense. I feel as though my property has been stolen. Update: We suddenly got a call that we could come pick up our trimmer. I do not know what prompted the change of heart (my Better Business Bureau complaint?, my poor Yelp review?, my complaint to Ryobi for listing these people as a repair center?). When we picked up the unit the employee said that he was being forced to pay the $50 fee because he had neglected to charge us up front. I don't know if this was the truth or a ploy to guilt us into paying. We did not. We informed the employee that it is ILLEGAL for the employer to collect $$ from the employee and directed him to the website of the CA Labor Commissioner's Office. Either way, this is simply despicable behavior. Avoid Power Equipment Company!

They have ordered parts and it seems they are giving me the run around drill. If you think you will receive fast service you may want to go else where.

Lowell seems to know everything there is to know about chainsaws and other outdoor tools, and in addition to quickly helping me figure out exactly what parts I needed for my saw, he went over more than 20 minutes of hard-to-find instruction, expertise and advice, answering questions on using the saw, training on how sharpening a blade REALLY works, and other important care and maintenance. He refuses to charge for this priceless info (I tried), which in my opinion is far beyond what you could find online or in a Youtube video. In my opinion, Webb's is one of those places Yelp was built to help point out!

I love taking my equipment in getting it repaired. I just feel like they do a great job. The place is always interesting. You drive up a long drive and pass by the organic gardening plots and then turn to the left and go up to the main building. The little shop has a number of things going for it. They carry Husqvarna equipment including chain saws, tree climbing apparel, lawn mowers, weed whackers, and other tools. It's fun just to poke around and take it all in. If you take the time to chat, Lowell always has good information to share. Scott works there now too and he's a journeyman machinist turned Webb's Farm repair guy. That means he can repair virtually anything! I just love the feel of this place. I know it won't be around forever, so I plan to take advantage of it for as long as I can.
