I could not sleep with my window open without hear this pissed off old woman in the morning yelling at some very sweet looking dogs. First off, I can contact the front desk multiple times with no issues (you'd be surprised how hard that can be). The receptionist was always patient & helpful to answer my questions, even going back to ask the vet themself. Getting an appointment the next day or so was also simple. I had my dog's blood work, check-up, dental cleaning with sedation ($160), antibiotics, & other medications for under $700! I can't remember the exact price, but other places quoted $900+ WITHOUT antibiotics, tooth extractions, bloodwork, etc. My dog's teeth were very dirty & I was anticipating extractions, but to my surprise there were none! His teeth were as good as new after. I also got to call & check in on my senior dog the day of his cleaning & they were able to give me prompt updates. I'm so grateful to this place. I'm about to graduate medical school, so I have a background in medicine but I appreciated how the vet walked through my dog's lab work in simple terms that I think is accessible to many folks. In my experience, lots of vets seem to strong hand you into getting a lot of extras that can add up (& when you don't buy those extras, it leaves you feeling like you're making the wrong decision or being a bad pet owner). That wasn't the case here, I appreciated the vet's transparency when answering my questions regarding my pet's care & quality of life decisions. I also had my cat cremated here (during 2020 nonetheless). Overall, this place has helped me through some very stressful times.

All three of my dogs have VERY different grooming needs, and the Shugrem staff has been very attentive to what we request for our fur babies. My border collie would get her fur shaved shorter, my husky just gets a deshedding (I emphasize this every time I take my girls), and the chihuahua...gets a bath . When u pick them up they all smell AMAZING, are super happy, and exhausted from the fun they've had. The staff is extremely friendly and truly cares about your animals. I've learned to be as detailed as possible when giving instructions, so I get exactly when I'm looking for. I will be returning to Shugrem for as long as I have fur babies!

For boarding, they always send a cute pic or two to show how he's doing. My dog is always excited when we get here. They are easy to schedule, either online or by calling. If they call during the day with questions, they always start out by saying something like "This is ___ at Best Little Dog House, Louie is fine, we just had a question about...." Which is awesome if you're not expecting a call! They also do super cute enrichment activities and have themed birthday parties.

As soon as I pull into the driveway, they excitedly start saying, "Hurry up and park, Momma! Our teachers a d furriends are waiting for us!" When I open the back door and unfasten their seatbelts, Sophie and Finley almost jump right out of the car! At times when we have hurricanes and winter storms knocking out power, I am especially grateful that BLDHTX is available to provide a safe place for my girls-- generators, filtered water, hurricane strength windows. On hot and humid summers days, my girls enjoy the refrigerated cooling plat, and misting fans and lots of fresh water. Sophie has been coming for over 5 years, and Finley for over 2 years. I never have to worry when I leave them for a day or for a fun sleepover. Kudos to Kerry and Luke for their clean, safe, fun place for small pups to play! Disappointing experience for my poppy Shih Tzu. I chose this…read moregrooming salon based on positive reviews and drove 30 minutes to get there -- unfortunately, it turned out to be a very upsetting visit. I specifically asked to keep the long hair on my dog's back, which we had been growing out for 6 months. But instead, they shaved it completely. Even worse, they left mats behind the ears, under the chin, and on the belly. When I kindly asked them to remove the mats, the receptionist responded loudly that it would "change the dog's haircut." Seriously? I believe removing mats should be standard grooming procedure -- and if there's an issue, the professional thing to do would be to call the owner or explain. Instead, they just left them and said it would "ruin the style." Meanwhile, the haircut was already nothing like what I requested. Now I have to take my pup to another groomer to fix what they ignored -- and even they were surprised mats were left behind. Sorry, but this is not how responsible pet care should be handled. I'm really disappointed.

I provided a reference photo, and while it wasn't exact, it was still very well done. Other pros: - reasonably priced. I paid almost $65 for my small dog. - very clean and not super loud. Some places, like the previous owners of this location, did not maintain the premises. It would be noisy and smelly, and the AC would be left off. I love what the new owners did with this place! My shih tzu often gets very nervous about going to the groomers but here, she was not shaking at all.
