Roof work
Luis M.

The person who did the original estimate, Matt, did a wonderful job in explaining the different parts of the project. This convinced us to prioritize this work. We had the roof, gutters, attic insulation and several windows replaced. The different crews that did the work were professional and respectful.

My door and siding redone.

I had my siding, trim, gutters, and 2 entry doors redone with Power. Gustavo, Samuel, and Luis, the crew chiefs, were exceptional professionals who helped me through every step and always answered my questions with patience and thorough explanations. I was always kept aware of changes, nothing unusual or new happened without my understanding it first, and they kept my costs as low as possible. I can't say enough good things about this company and their customer service.

Zero stars. We spent a fortune on a sliding glass door because we wanted something nice and it had a lifetime warranty. We were sold on an exact replacement of our current door with upgraded efficiency and functionality. However when the installers came out, the door they had was not the exact size of the current door so they had to close the opening or would need to use a wider trim which did not match the rest of the house. Power's solution was to close the gap with some drywall spackle. However, their solution was not viable since a crack keeps forming on the wall next to our door. Since this was originally done, about a year and a half ago, they have sent out multiple contractors to attempt to fix the drywall, but it keeps cracking. Power's exact quote to us was, "Power does not have the expertise in drywall so we cannot guarantee the solution that was presented. We can only provide someone to come out and attempt to fix it but we cannot guarantee our work." This is unacceptable. We were promised an exact form, fit, and function replacement of our old door, but now the entire entrance looks worse than it did before. I do not recommend hiring this company for any of your doors, windows, siding, or any other house improvement needs. They will not be accepted back in our neighborhood.

Siding falling off the house for the 8th time in 18 months.

Nothing But Issues Ever Since Power HRG Replaced My Roof, Soffits, Fascia, and Gutters in March 2024 First, they had a dumpster delivered. The dumpster company drove on my lawn creating a ditch 13" deep. They refused to come out and fill it in. Power said the dumpster company is a separate company and there was nothing they could do. Second, the workers were throwing the old roof shingles off the roof into the dumpster. They cracked part of my siding in the process. The inspector said that this damage was listed as prior damage. I showed him where the prior damage was and explain how this was not the same damage. He refused to do anything about it. Third and definitely most infuriating, the day after the inspector who closed out the project left, the siding at the top nearest the soffit all along the front of the house started falling off. I promptly contacted the project team at Power HRG and they had someone come out and fix the siding a few days later. Then it happened again. This time I couldn't get in touch with anyone for weeks. Finally, I was able to reach someone after a month or so and they sent someone out to fix the siding again. THEN, it happened again, and this time I couldn't get in touch with anyone for months. In July of 2024, they responded to one of my emails, but didn't send anyone out. I tried to learn how to fix it myself, but the siding just keeps falling down. Now in September of 2025, I'm trying to reach out again and they're telling me that they don't have any openings until 2026. That's not all either. In short, there are chipped shingles here and there on the roof, there are hundreds upon hundreds of nails all over my yard around the house and in the gutters, the gutters are NOT graded correctly causing plants to grow out of them in the spring, AND they convinced me to go with these 6" K style gutters, saying that they are better and don't need gutter guards since they're so large. Unfortunately, that's a total lie and now it'll cost the other arm and leg to get some type of guard installed so I don't have to clean them twice each year. This company is all about making money by overselling, saving money by cutting corners, providing horrible customer service, and ultimately screwing over their customers. All this company needed to do to be successful is take responsibility for the damages they caused and respond to my calls and emails.

If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing to deal with your homeowners…read moreinsurance following a tree swiping the back of your house, let me give you some advice. Last March 2024, during an especially windy day a country club's tree came down and whacked the rear of my house, starting from the highest roof, ripping down wires and landed on my detached garage where it sat until PECO could make it safe. I initially gave the go ahead for my insurer, who I'll call SF, to send out a contractor to assess the damage. Well someone came out, slapped a tarp on the hole in the garage, but seemed dismissive of the house damage. And then I heard nothing for the longest time. So, getting concerned I called Impriano to get their opinion, as is my right, since I had a good experience with them 13 years ago with a new roof. Jack Impriano came out and did a very thorough inspection finding a lot more damage than SF's contractor did, including a split rafter in the garage roof. He looked at the plan for repair that the adjuster had drawn up finding it completely inadequate, so he drew up his own. He basically worked directly with the adjuster, all while updating me about what was going on. There were many problems such as the SF contractor sending the wrong information to SF that led them to believe the work was complete when nothing was repaired. The contractors invoice included pictures that wasn't even my property. Jack Impriano handled everything, everything is repaired/replaced, their crew came out in the most inhospitable weather and did an excellent job. You could tell how well done my 13 year old roof was when shingles were removed. It's amazing how nice our new roof and siding looks. It's peace of mind working with a company that takes pride in their work, and there's good reason they've been around for so long. I didn't realize they also handle windows which is on my to do list. I don't think I would trust anyone else. Thank you Jack and Ed and the rest of your hard working crew, including the office, you guys were great, can't thank you enough.

I called a few different folks for estimates and received nothing but a list of problems with the repair. First I was told that my PECO lines were too close to the hole and I had to have PECO shut off the electric or move the wire mounts entirely. Then I was given a quote for $700-$1000.00, which is ABSURD considering if I was brave enough I could climb my ass on the roof and fix it my damn self with a little brut force and a screw. Thankfully McCabe and Son were able to come out like a day after I called them to give me a quote. They said it was $225 for them to fix it. When I asked about the proximity of the PECO lines the dude turns to me (I think it was Jim?) and goes, "Well, I don't PLAN to touch it!" I really can't say enough good things about McCabe. They are just straight shooters, no bullsh!t. They get the job done for a reasonable price and don't drag things out for weeks or try to extort you for hundreds of dollars. The fellow fixed everything up nice and pretty for me today and now I don't have to worry about unwanted intruders coming into my house. Just stop wasting your time with other companies and call Scott McCabe.

He actually spent several hours trying to figure out how to get it working, but the thing just wouldn't work. He didn't give up though! Scott got the manufacturer involved. Today, a technician from that company replaced the motor unit in the dead skylight and replaced the motor unit in our other skylight even though it was working fine. And it was all covered by the warranty. Wow! We are so impressed with Scott's service mentality. This guy is gold. I mean, he did all the legwork to get this repair done. We did nothing. He took ownership of the problem 100%. He also just did our neighbor's roof and our neighbor was also pleased with his McCabe Roofing experience. Scott is terrific to do business with. I'd give him a 6th star if I could.

That seemed like a lot of money for a day's work, but I said 'So be it' to myself. He added that the price might be higher if he had to buy new wood and metal to do the job well. He then said that he would be 'hands-on' but, as soon as he dropped off his workers, he left the job and didn't come back. When he returned days later, he told me that I owed him another $2,200. When I balked at this, he got testy and, so, lowered the additional charge to $1,700 ('because I want to work for you again,' he said). I challenged him to itemize the extra costs. He said that the additional wood was $300 and the additional metal was $500. I asked what accounted for the other $900 that he was demanding. 'Additional labor costs,' was his answer. I pointed out that his initial price had to have included the laborers' pay for the day - and they finished the job before 5 pm. Tom started sulking; then he became irate: 'Just give me the $5,000 - forget the rest.' It was a good ploy. I felt sorry for him, so I wrote a check for $6,000 - not the $7,200 that he wanted nor the $6,700 that he then proffered as a compromise. A qualified professional, who knows my house, said that $5,000 for new gutters and general maintenance of the system was a very high but not completely unreasonable charge for the work. But Tom's demand for an additional $2,200, then $1,700, was, this professional said, outrageous: 'He saw that you willingly paid the $5,000, so he figured that he could extract another couple of thousand from you.' I liked Tom personally but regret paying him what I did. I urge, then, whomever might hire him to be strong in negotiating about the job - and not to give in to his emotional ploys to price gouge.

I hired Tom and crew to perform repair of cedar siding and paint our sizable house.
