The owner of Tri-State Remodeling (Roland) responded to my initial search on YELP but let me know up front he didn't deal with "patching" but if I was interested in a consultation for new roof, he would be glad to meet. After meeting with Roland, I had a whole new perspective and what seems like a reasonable amount of information on roofs in general. He was very thorough in his presentation, explaining the various products, along with the training and certification process thru the product manufacturer, and explained step by step how a roof project would be conducted. Tri-State Remodeling not only uses quality materials, they understand the importance of customer service and satisfaction and professionalism. The estimate provided was very competitive and included items not mentioned by other contractors. I am so glad I chose not to piece-meal this project as it turned out, my roof was in pretty bad shape underneath it all; several pieces of plywood had to be replaced (included). Overall, I was pleased with the experience with one exception. The tarp used to protect the property ripped and materials fell on the tree next to my porch causing damage to several of the upper limbs that had to be addressed. With regards to the heating of our home, the windows were no better than screens. I reached out, looking for windows and installers. I had a few people come in and estimate the job. None of them impressed me until Greg from Windows on Washington came over. He walked me through several options and explained how the windows they used were manufactured and why. Windows on Washington got the job. My windows and my doors were being manufactured. So they sent out a wonderful gentleman to get the final accurate measurements. Great guy. After that, communication was wonderful as were were assessed of the stage we were in. This included when we got the email and calls explaining that, since we were on a higher floor, they needed to bring in some equipment to lift the new doors up to our balcony. No surprises. Installation day was amazing as Joon and his team came in, got everything into place, and cleaned up the areas to better than when they got here. Joon then went over the features on our windows and even explained how we get to and clean the outsides of the glass. Wonderful man and amazing team. Since then, we have gotten copies of our warranty and the guarantees. And the company has reached out twice to ask if we have any questions and to ensure that we are happy with our windows. We are. We are very happy with our windows. Almost as happy as we are with the people who got them into our home.

But when he turned on our gas line when he was asked to turn on our water line, I think that did it. Poor Meredith had to be the communication channel for some frustrations we had along the way. She did a really good job of managing that. I wish there had been more accountability to Ferris when they finally removed him from our renovation basically at the end. I would use Meredith and so many of the people that work for Ferris again with nothing but confidence again if I could guarantee a few things would be different that would change the whole of the experience.

What a difference it made! The workers arrived on time and worked efficiently completing the whole job in just 3 hours, cleaned up, moved all the furniture back in place and hung the drapes and blinds. Nice people on the phone and they scheduled a person to come out and do an estimate very quickly. Paul was nice, patient with all my questions but during and after the appointment via email. He got me the estimate quickly and then came back out again to do exact measurements for the final estimate. Again, just very helpful throughout the process. Waiting for the windows took a while so I think we did end up waiting like 2-3 months between that visit and getting them installed which was the only negative of our experience. Installation team was fantastic. I think there were 3-4 people there. Ed was in charge. Just nice guys, we felt comfortable having them in the house. Cleaned up very well. Everything looks great and very professionally installed. Kept us updated with some random things they found (rotting wood) when reframing the windows. Again answered questions anytime we had them. On time both coming and leaving. Cost seems reasonable for what we got and from speaking with friends but I'm no window expert. Planning on having them come back out next year to finish the rest of the windows. Good experience overall.

It feels like a major home renovation. And in a lot of ways, it was -- the last three windows that Louie and Ameon expertly replaced for me turned out to be fully rotted around the frames, unbeknownst to me. As with the previous job, they handled everything with extreme care and attention to detail. The house was again spotless when they left. I felt like I was in great hands throughout. I contacted multiple contractors and different companies and it was clear my business was never important - I'd get ghosted for appointments, took months to get quotes, and more. About 4-6 weeks later, Blake contacted me and scheduled for installation. Robert and his team did an excellent job installing the windows. I had a total of 11 windows installed on the first floor of my property in Nov 2023. They completed the job in 1 and half days. It could have been done in one day but the sunset in November didn't allow. Some of the pictures of the completed job are shown below. I don't have the before pictures but trust me, there's a huge difference. I will have them come back to complete the second floor in the first quarter of 2024. Thank you!!
