But from the very first class, I felt welcomed and supported. The instructors are incredibly encouraging, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The members are just as friendly, creating an uplifting and judgment-free atmosphere that makes it easy to keep showing up. Elevate has become so much more than just a workout--it's the best part of my day. Whether you're new to fitness or just looking for a positive community to move with, I can't recommend elevate enough.

The person that was helping check in people at the front desk was nice and helpful and explained where everything was on my first visit. I took a strength class with Sydney and it really enjoyed it. It was a great full body workout and I really enjoyed how they have heavier weight options so I could challenge myself. Sydny was also great about walking through form of each exercise which is a great reminder when you're in a rush or great information for people who might be able to lifting. I went here first back in 2012 when it was the original Aspen, and about 90% of it is still the same. They finally got some new cardio equipment (previously, about half didn't even work) and a few new weight options, but that's about all that's been done. It just feels run down and dirty, including that old low-pile carpet on the gym floor that I'm not sure when it's ever been cleaned. There doesn't seem to be a lot of accountability with their staff. I've seen some of the trainers using it as their playground, many without shoes (which is a club rule to wear them). I've also seen some of the exercises and lifts they've allowed their clients to do, poor form and unsafe. I would not trust many of the trainers here. There have also been multiple times where the person opening wasn't there so I'm up at 5am for nothing. I do want to caveat that some of the front desk staff, a few trainers I know have been there for a while and a few of the group class teachers are nice and know what they're doing, but these other bad actors have left a bad taste in my mouth and make me question the standards that upper management holds. I might consider going back when they renovate the place, but who knows when that will be. Plus I'm sure the price will go way up then since it would be a "premium club." They've noted that it's "on the list" which is their excuse to not fix other things now. There's one sink in the women's locker room that has been unusable for over 2 years. I don't use the showers, but other members have expressed them not working well or even at all some times. We plan to be residents of this area of town for a long time, and I hope to see solid improvements here in the near future so we can enjoy this convenient gym again.

If you have back issues you seriously need to start your Yoga journey and this place is where to start. Lisa the owner is an amazing teacher and such a kind soul. All of the instructors have been fantastic and care deeply about what they do. Karma offers a variety of classes, both heated and air conditioned. In the past year I've tried just about every type of class they offer and I've found what works for me. From relaxing and meditative, to high intensity, they have a class for you. They have 2 class studios. The larger room is mostly used for heated classes. It's a large space with 2 mirrored walls which is great for self corrections and being able to see the instructor no matter where you are in the room. I've never felt cramped in the large room, it's so big!! The 2nd room is much smaller and is air conditioned. This room can get a bit crowded at times but usually it's plenty of space. They have yoga mats you can use if you need, plus all the props you could possibly want or need during your practice. They also sell some really nice yoga mats and athletic clothes in the main entrance area. The only thing I would change if I could is I wish the men's shower/locker room was a bit less cramped. Not much they can do about this though due to the location. Really only 3 people can be in the men's room at a time due to the size of the space. There are 2 showers and some small cubicles for storing your bag and one chair. I cannot comment on the woman room area, but I believe it's a bit larger. Bottom line: If you are looking for a place to try yoga or a seasoned "Yogie" give this place a try!

Not bad considering if I didn't like it, I only spent $20! (One class I believe is $13 or so). I was able to register for class online. On their website, they list all of the classes that are available and you are able to register for all of them online. Their classes range from 5:45 in the morning until 6:15 in the evening. There are many options for everyone. They also offer many different types of classes and when I went this morning, there were two going on at the same time. So, you have options, which is a plus! When you first walk in here, it is nice and spacious. You can see where you can put your shoes otherwise, there is a bathroom with cubbies where you can also put your things. They have yoga stuff on one of the walls that you can purchase. It is very clean and really, it's a calming atmosphere. The ladies that checked me in are super nice too. They made me feel really welcome even though I haven't done yoga in probably 2 years. The hot yoga class that I signed up for is pretty similar to others I have tried. The people in the class with me varied in skill and ability, which was nice. I didn't feel so bad. The instructor was also very helpful and made it possible for us to get what we needed out of the class. Another positive about Karma Yoga is that the hot yoga room, when you first walk in, smells like lavender! It took me by surprise since many hot yoga rooms do not smell particularly good at all! Right away, you are put into a calm mood. In all, I really loved my experience today and I honestly feel that I will extend my membership to longer than two weeks once my two weeks are up!
