The store in La Grange could use a few more hands on deck as the line was long with only one (super nice and helpful) guy handling everything on his own. Professional painters were ordering supplies while amateurs like myself were asking for color-matching and new colors. Sherwin Williams paint is a good paint. It's a bit pricey for everyday painting but, I'm repainting the entire interior of my home, so I'm willing to pay more for the paint and the advice.

On the left is their wall of paint colors. It's nice to see them in one spot, which helps you notice the subtle hues. Most of the colors were well stocked to take home for discussion. Today they had a decent crowd. People at the counter were being taken care of. I was in the store about 30 minutes sifting through colors and while I didn't need anyone, an employee never came through to check on the customers there. You may need to consider coming at a non-peak shopping time if you need 1:1 assistance regarding colors or paint types. Similar to other locations, this one also offers paint supplies and accessories to pick up when grabbing your paint.

It was super easy, they called when it was ready. I waked just barely though the door to check out and my paint was ready. Excellent service and I felt safe the while time. They are not open to browse the store, just counter service and they can fetch items. Excited to start some of my home improvement projects.

When you've done a fair amount of shopping at the bigger box hardware places (we'll go with the…read morenames Orange and Blue) and you can't find what you want, I find that Tractor Supply usually sneaks in for the win. Recently we decided we wanted to put in a rain barrel for watering our veggies, flowers, and Crepe Myrtles. We checked several locations of Orange and Blue and, not to anyone's surprise, found that they didn't have any in stock. Ordering would have taken a couple weeks to get here. These days 2 weeks is a LONG time for delivery. We had cash on hand, so I drove out to Tractor Supply. Turns out they had 2 rain barrels in stock. While I was there I visited the wild bird seed aisle. Tractor Supply has a GREAT selection and variety of bird seed. I have about 10 feeders in our back yard so I go through A LOT of bird seed. (Well, *I* don't, the birds do. I just put it in the feeders.) I've never been let down by the bird seed they have in stock or the variety, and there's almost always a sale of some kind going on. The staff at this location is always fun and helpful. If you're looking for something they'll take you to it instead of nodding in a general direction, and there are a few that have a great sense of humor. No one wants to be helped by a robot. A little personality can go a long way in making a routine shopping visit into a great one. About 15 minutes later and I had my rain barrel and a few bags of bird seed and a pleasant conversation with the guy at the register (whose name I don't recall) who had mad skills at zapping and flipping that scanning gun. From now on Tractor Supply will be the first place I look. Orange and Blue will have to wait.

The deals here are better than Michaels, Walmart, basically everywhere if you line the sales up right. There will always be a 30% on top of already marked down prices every few weeks, so just wait for what you want. The art with frames cannot be beat, but even the dishes with the discounts just outperform everywhere else. The style is top notch. I even bought our dining table and hutch from Kirklands. The dining table was under $250 and looks incredible and the hutch gets so many compliments!!!

Whether it is an accent table, decorative lamps, photo frames or wall hangings this is a great place to go. The staff at Kirkland's is very friendly and accommodating to guests needs. They are more than willing to discuss what you are looking for, and will suggest other ideas if they do not have exactly what you want. With such a wide variety of items, I am positive you will find what you need to decorate a room, apartment or house. My guess is you will go in looking for one thing and find eleven more that would be as good or even better than the original.

Since moving to J-Town five years ago we've come to Sunshine Grow Shop for our flowers and hanging baskets. Yea, you can go to big box retailers who have an add-on garden department, but Sunshine specializes in flowers because that's all they do. They always have a great variety of flowers and flowering plants, planters, yard ornaments, and wind chimes. Chances are you're going to pay a little more by shopping here as opposed to a place with a garden department, but for us it's worth it knowing that we're getting something of quality. Each year brings us back and we're never disappointed. They seem to have an endless stock of color for your yard and garden. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful and each person we've worked with knows their product. Now it's off to Sunshine Grow Shop to get a couple hanging baskets.
