Enjoyed my first drive through experience to see Christmas lights. I loved the walk thru experience where it gave me an opportunity to take some pictures.

Easy to get tickets, easy to find. Large amounts of lights with a nice break in the middle for kids- shopping, food, drinks, games, rides and a walk through trail of lights.

Drivers pro tip: COAST so your brake lights are not on the whole time, also turn your headlights off! It is a light show after all On the weekends, expect a 2 hour wait! They have officers directing traffic and they tend to let the longest line to get into the park wait the longest, adding to the time in line. Traffic control could be a lot better. There were times the longest line was waiting 30 minutes to move, when the flow should be more even. Once in the park, it is so worth it!! I posted lots of photos of the 5 different themes they had throughout the park. They also change it up every year!! I included a photo of the pricing as well. Cars and trucks are $30. This was my first time and im so excited to come back.

What a very enlightening experience. LOL. We went on a rainy night so otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. We skipped the middle part so I cannot comment on that part. Price is good if you take a car full of people. We had 4 grownups so just slightly cheaper than the price of movie tickets. The lights were fantastic. Exceeded expectations. There design team must be first class.

We just went there yesterday 12/10/2023 and I definitely recommend. I will start a small con that I'm sure all drive through Christmas lights have , the wait. I suggest getting there at least 30min before opening (6pm ) and wait in line because the lines are long. The lights were amazing, not too much but enough, they have a place with free rides for smaller kids and a huge tent with hot cocoa, food and sit down tables. The food was good and fresh prices reasonable. There is another walk through park with beautiful lights and then when you leave (drive off) the tunnel with lights. Along the way there are employees that keep the line going. The price this year is $50/car. Have fun!

The best Christmas lights I've seen? Absolutely! Prairie Lights was wonderful! Knowing the lines would be crazy long, we got in line an hour before sunset. Either come early, or forget it! The wait later in the evening is so long, you might not get in. Once in, turn your lights OFF! The lights go on and on, with many different sections. Each section had its own theme, which was a lot of fun. Christmas Garden, Christmas Safari, Prehistoric Christmas, and more! And yes, I won the ugly sweater contest! The porta potties in the middle was a little shady, and food is now mobile order, drive through only. But it's there if you need it! Yes, we had a blast. Yes, we loved it! And you will too, if you get in! Merry Christmas!!!!

We have visited for several years, but we were more excited this year to have a safe environment to enjoy some family time.

I just moved to Grand Prairie and so many people recommended we go to Prairie Lights. It was extremely underwhelming. To begin, the light show starts at 6 p.m. when it gets dark. We got in the "car line" at 5:45 and it was wildly long at every direction from the intersection that leads into the event. Meanwhile, they found a way for people to drive in with NO wait by paying an extra $100 for a fast pass. (There's no way this show is worth that) We waited no less than 2 hours for the line to move and finally get inside. They recommended some holiday playlist on Spotify but the song selection was for a very specific audience that didn't apply to my group. The radio station they recommended was fuzzy and did not work. The lights were very festive, some weren't working but the ride was less than 10 minutes before they dump you into the walkable Christmas fair. It's about 8 p.m. at this point and all the hot beverages were sold out. It's a great opportunity for families though because there are carnival rides and pictures with Santa. When we left that area, we got back in the car and there are more lights to drive through. There are so many light displays in DFW and this one was too expensive, too unorganized and too crowded. I would not recommend spending $50 on this experience. They should really get a handle on the traffic and figure out how to get people through without waiting 2+ hours for the most mediocre display. The guest experience here is lacking greatly.

Such a fun, family friendly spot! I have a 2 year old so finding a place we can both enjoy holiday activities on a budget are tricky at times. If you are coming plan to arrive early to avoid long lines. We waited maybe 30 minutes in line but it was not bad. It is expected, if you come during peak hours you will have a line to wait in. Save yourself the stress and plan to arrive early to avoid this. We paid $45 on a Friday night. For what you get pricing is not bad. Each area is sectioned off into different themes that you will drive through and are very cute. Half way through the drive you are able to park and enjoy food and activities. They had a carousel ride and puppy ride where the kids get to control the spin of their vehicle. Both included in price. You also had multiple food options from nachos, corn dogs and popcorn. Inside they had a show to watch about the joy of Christmas. It was so cute and cheesy and I loved it. Along with the inside tent offering food, activities and shopping there is a part to walk and look at lights. If there was a photo prop section there was a volunteer ready to help take your family photo. We will be back next year and recommend this to everyone.

The fambam wanted to go see lights, so I bought the $45 general admission pass for one car (up to 8 ppl before you gotta pay limo price). The wait was 1.5-2 hours. It doesn't seem like the fast pass prime would make a difference, but if you're not patient, you should probably chalk up that $129 haha; they might get special entrance somewhere else, but I'm not sure. My family and I are chill about waiting, so it wasn't too bad. The light displays were beautiful and there were a lot of varieties (bugs themed holiday, Thanksgiving feast, rodeo town, elves... and so on). It was also very inclusive with different cultures-- Hannukah, Kwanzaa, Chinese New Years, etc. After the driving portion, you could stop at Santa Village. There was a mini carnival with a free carousel and rotating bear ride. Inside, you could take pictures with Santa (skipped cuz we're too old for Santa, obviously and he won't give us money lmao) and a free theater show that was so cute. My mom bought a $10 spinning snowflake light up toy for her boss' 2 year old daughter. I highkey wanted to keep it xD Keep going past the food area and you'll find the walkway portion where you get to stop and take pictures near the lights displays-- bundle up for this part! They sold regular funnel cakes for about $6-- we got the $7 Bavarian cream one which was very crispy, warm, and a cream with similar consistency and color to mayonnaise swirled on top, dusted with powdered sugar. Hot cocoa with marshmallows were $2 a cup, coffee was $1, elotes were $5, and regular corn dogs were $6; they also had Flaming Hot Cheetos corn dogs. You can get condiments and plastic ware behind the registers. I think it was totally worth the $45 spent. My fam and I had tons of fun and I would totally go again for a holidate in the future :)

We go to Prairie Lights every year! Our kids look forward to the lights! We try to go in the beginning of December, during the week, so we can avoid the crowds! You can also get discounted tickets on Groupon sometimes! We look forward to many more Christmas memories made here!!!

Although the holidays are over I still wanted to write a review for Prairie Lights because I know they'll be back and even better (if that's even possible) next Christmas! You definitely need to go check them out for a Holiday Lights Experience that's completely from within the ! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ General admission was $30 per car and it's about a 45 minute drive through the attractions. I suggest you bring your hot chocolate , blast your Christmas and celebrate the Nativity of Christ on this journey! This was probably my favorite and most safest way to experience Christmas in 2020! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ This is great for kids, families, couples etc! Fair warning get there early or you will be waiting for a while to get in or bring something to keep you/your kids entertained otherwise (internet slows down while waiting in line FYI).⁣ Also if drink all your hot coco or coffee during the beginning of your wait, then they do have portapotties you can use before entering or during the mid-point of the drive, however during the pandemic that may not be the most hygienic option so take small sips lol. ⁣

The lights were nice but the walkway was very muddy, everything else was nice and I would recommend. A bit expensive but overall fun.

We LOVE that they continue to have complimentary carnival rides & walk-through lights after the first drive through section.

First, this is not an all-inclusive venue. Many items are charged separately, including linens, use of the TV, AV equipment, and even certain rooms like the back room. These additional costs can add up quickly, so I recommend asking for a full breakdown of fees in advance. I also want to mention the policy regarding security officers. When I booked, I was told the officer requirement would be at the manager's discretion. I communicated multiple times that my event would end by 6 PM. However, I was still required to pay for an officer through 10 PM, even though the event ended much earlier. While I understand policies are in place, this was unexpected and felt unfair based on prior communication. One policy to be aware of is that open flames are not allowed. I was able to adjust without issue, but it's something to plan for ahead of time. Overall, the space itself is nice, but I strongly recommend getting clear, written confirmation of all fees, policies, and requirements before booking to avoid surprises.
