I took the Fearless Falling class, held between 3:00 to 4:00 on Wednesdays and I learned so much. The senior lunch on Wednesdays and Fridays is only $4; you may choose to dine in or takeaway. Near the dining hall sits a huge cabinet filled with puzzles ranging from 300 to 1,000 pieces. Their generous policy is that you may bring puzzles or take as many puzzles as you like. The pool tables are always in use by smiling gentlemen and ladies. There is a quilt drop-in a couple of days a week. I'm impressed with how upbeat and cheery everyone is and I'm glad the city has created such a welcoming space for its seniors.

Even though I live in Westerville (license says Westerville, bills say Westerville, literally live…read morenext to Westerville Central Highschool) they said I am not eligible for resident rates. So ridiculous & I'm not paying an extra $24 a month for the "nonresident rate" when I do live IN WESTERVILLE... I tried calling both the people (T & H, for short) who administer the test to schedule it and neither one called me back. I also texted one of them (H) and never heard back. So I called the rec center and they gave me the email for H. I emailed him and he replied and we scheduled it. Then, two hours before the time we had scheduled, he emailed me and said he would be teaching a class at that time and could I do it myself? I had never paid attention to the set-up of the procedure so I said no. So he said he would get someone to cover for him and he'd be there at our scheduled time. I got there early and waited about 15 minutes before I went to the front desk to tell them I needed help with the scheduled test. The person followed me back to the in-body room and pointed to a man and said "That's H". So he was out in the hallway having a conversation and I was waiting (at that point nearly 20 minutes) for him. He came in and gave me the test. Some version of this happens every 3 months when I buy new passes and have to run the gauntlet to get my free test and it is extremely frustrating.

It's very spiffy to have a party room connected to the pool area. We sat outside both rooms at a high top to watch her enjoy the fun, and once my daughter arrived to stay with her, we took off. I looked around as much as a could without actually getting a tour, and was impressed by what I saw. I was thinking if I lived in Worthington again, I would absolutely become a member to make use of the gym, pool, etc. I'm not sure what the etc. would be, but I would explore. Cool place.

The whole place is shiny and new and comfortable, with many amenities. There's a small cafe in the lobby, and it sounds like another on maybe the 4th floor? If I were a UA resident I'd be here often. They allow non-residents to use the pool for a fee, and I'm sure other areas too. Many areas are available to rent for meetings or parties, and they have classes in various activities.

I have visiting the Recreation & Physical Activity Center or RPAC for short at The Ohio State…read moreUniversity campus for years for a tour and when the State Summer Games for Special Olympics Ohio is held there when Volleyball, serving lunch and dinner there at times for huge events, and other things that the RPAC hosts. I have to get my soda from a soda machine because the RPAC in the basement near the lockers only takes payments from students and facility who are members of the RPAC, but they have huge space for working out, taking fitness classes, and another pool that has 8 lanes (25 yards) that has a movable floor and waterslide area for families. The Idea Foundry defines itself as a community of makers, designed to help you explore new ideas and unleash your passion to make things. It is a place for creative people to gather, work on their projects, bounce ideas off of and support others. They also offer a multitude of classes to the community. We decided to sign up for "Woodshop Orientation A: Table Saw, Miter Saw, Jointer & Planer" in the hopes that it would help us with our first home project. The cost is $90 per person for non members. Yes, you can become a member but I'm not going to get into all that info in this review. If you want more info on that, check out their website. When we arrived on a Saturday morning, our class was given a mini tour of the foundry. Then we went into the workshop that they utilize as their classroom. There was one instructor for our small class of 9 people. I appreciated that the class was small. I also enjoyed the instructors vast knowledge and concern for woodshop safety. In fact, maybe the class should have been named Woodshop Safety 101. We went through the class with one piece of wood, starting by making a cut with the miter saw, and working out way through the use of each tool. By the end of the class we had a perfectly cut and planed smaller piece of wood. Ultimately what I think I got from this class was the confidence to use machinery such as the table saw and miter saw on my own. The class gave me a real chance in my adult years to use these tools and I hope that will be helpful for me in the future.

With a sweet, super-shallow world for the little ones including all sorts of spraying water, fountains and a little slide, to larger slides for the bigger kids and a 13' (i think it's 13' at least) deep lane/diving pool for everyone in-between. Staff is very friendly and courteous, and the whole place is clean and well kempt. My only criticism, and this is more from my whiny kids than me, is the limited candy selection at the snack bar! Great place to spend some quality family time on a summer afternoon. Translation: take your kids here and you might get a couple of hours to sit quietly and go to your mind palace while they run around and make each other tired. Highly recommend!!

We came here recently for a three year old's birthday party. We weren't quite sure where to enter…read moreat first because this community center is shared with the police station....I thought this was kinda bizarre because it's something I've never encountered before. lol. But somehow after a little wandering, we found our group on the second floor in a decent sized room. There was space for three extra long tables for seating, one long table of food, a craft table, dessert table, a pin-the-nose-on-the-donkey style game and gift table. Our host welcomed us to stay during her two hour time slot. An everyone helped to stay and clean up, so we were all cleared out by 30 minutes after the party was over. I will note that this room not only had a large storage closet, but also a full kitchen that was off to the side and could be closed off. Through our entire visit, I don't think I saw anyone from the venue at all. Infact, this place was a no-man's land aside from us. I did appreciate that there was a small lounge area out on the second floor that was the perfect place to slip away when it came time to nurse my baby. Again, no one else was around to be bothered by us.
