In my most recent service that cost $100.92 for one week of dry cleaning, my pants were not only creased but this is how one of the shirts looked. I asked if the pants could be repressed same day and was told they could do it but there likely would still be a crease in the pants. I wasn't offered a credit- I paid full price for two pants that I needed to press myself and for a shirt that looked like this. I contacted them by email and yep- no one had the courtesy to respond. So, here I am posting a review because they didn't have the courtesy to make it right.

I was driving past so I figured I'd stop in and see if it was this location so I could open an account. The response I got was "We don't do that here." in a rude way. That's fine, no problem. I asked if she knew which location might do that for my building and the response was "It's like you're trying order a cake at the meat department" while rolling her eyes. Uh, what?? I just left and won't use the other location's pick up/drop off service now. How someone like that keeps her job is beyond me.

Whaaaaat happened to this place?…read more For the last ten years of living in the neighborhood, this has been the tried and true, best ever laundromat in existence. Elvis lamp, cute dogs, super nice people? Coin machine, places to sit, brightly lit, parking outside? What's not to like?? I had a day-ruiningly bad experience here this morning. Laundry gives me crazy anxiety. Don't ask me why. It simply does. It's stressful living in a city and on the 4th floor of a walk up and trying to finagle laundry and quarters and carrying things with spaghetti arms! I digress. Usually Soap Bubble is fabulous in helping my frantic anxiety ass when I can't get the card readers to work, or I need advice on which machine to use for whichever size load I have that day (generally gigantic). Today, the card reader on the washing machine wasn't working - this happens to me quite a bit. I tried two cards, swiping in several ways, and probably 15 times they said declined. I know these cards work- I've used them here on these machines a zillion times! The last time this happened to me, I went up to the counter, and the employee was so kind, per usual. They came over and swiped it with their magic touch, and it worked. They didn't make me feel bad at all. It seemed like a regular thing that happens to everybody! This morning I approached the attendant on duty, who I had not seen before. I let her know that my silly ass couldn't get the card reader to work, and asked for some help. She came over to the machine and WAS SO. BRUTALLY. MEAN. I swiped the card and she said, "You're swiping it wrong. You're swiping it wrong. Why would you swipe it like that? Is that how you swipe it at the grocery store?" Not in a joking way... in a very rude, almost-made-me-cry way. Like, why am I being bullied at the laundromat right now? Anyway, she helped me by letting me pay at the computer desk. All while being the rudest lady. I don't get it. Why work in customer service when you despise human beings? I'm too sensitive, and I'm sure everyone else would brush this off. But before I went my boyfriend did joke, "Careful of that lady, she is... testy. Try to avoid that." So, she has a reputation. Laundry is already a no-fun chore that causes many of us stress. Why add to it and make your customers feel stupid and like a burden? Especially when they're being kind???? Sorry to be lame. Just like, WTF. Now I have even more anxiety around laundry, because I have to worry about being yelled at by the Soap Bubble employee. C'mon guys!!!!

I am the Manager of the 8th Maine Regiment Lodge & Museum on Peaks Island. This business…read moreapparently recently changed hands and my wife (our Guest Hostess) and I are very unhappy with the new owners and their staff. The individuals with whom we have spoken, I assume are representing this business, have been unhelpful, rude and uncooperative. The most recent problem was that an entire load of our sheets, pillowcases and towels went missing and no one will take responsibility. We have severed our business relationship and instructed our Treasurer to no longer permit this business to charge services to our corporate credit card account. I definitely would NOT recommend this business.
