My family has been coming here since before I was born. Of course their meats are amazing. It's a German butcher, so they will have all of the German sausages, cuts, sides and mustards. The staff and the customers are old friends. Everyone seems to know each other. Even though they are based on tradition, they are making new creations all of the time. This is a true Syracuse tradition and you should come, even if just to smell what a real butcher smells like.

This is a family run farm in Savannah NY that my family and i have been taking our deer to for…read moreprocessing for many years. They get incredibly busy during hunting season, as it's a small town and people come in from neighboring areas to drop off their deer. Because it is family run, their hours can vary so we have found it's best to call first before coming by. The cost to butcher your deer depends on what kind of cuts you'd like to get. On average, it's about $100 or so, which is a little on the high end but it's worth it. The cuts are good and even, without a lot of fat and silver skin. The smoked meats that he does are the best part of coming here. The slim Jim's, the summer sausage (both offered in cheese, spicy, or spicy cheese varieties) jerky cuts, breakfast sausage, Italian sausage, as well as your normal cuts like steaks, chops, roasts, hamburger, etc. I've never had a bad cut. Really great place to bring your deer.
