Stumbled upon this meat store in the coolest way. My family and I had a fabulous breakfast at WMK on Saturday. When I asked them where they sourced their sausage from for the sausage and gravy, they responded with, "Bostrom Farms". My next move? Checking them out, of course!
Atmosphere: The store-front is quaint and small, but there is no need for it to be larger. It is extremely clean, welcoming, and features a wide variety of fresh meats...both prepackaged and available for selection from the butcher case. The store also had some other miscellaneous NY-specific products for sale, such as maple syrup. Great family- owned/ operated feel. The only thing that would be awesome, is if they had some samples of their products to try so I'd know what to buy...though, i understand how hard that could be to manage

Food: so, nothing really matters all that much if the food products offered suck. They don't. We got some hot Italian sausage, sweet Italian, andouille, and apple cider brats. All of them were good, but some better than others.
Andouille: Incredible. Absolutely perfectly balanced in all facets. Heat, saltiness, seasonings -- perfect. Highly, highly recommend. Be warned though, this meat is fiery. 6/5 yep, that's a 6.
Apple Cider Brat: again, excellent. Didn't blow me away in the way the andouille did, but still had "wow factor". 5/5. This would be an excellent addition to any clam bake, sausage party (the non sexual kind. Well...?), or German food night. Honestly, I'd be delicious anytime...especially with some sauerkraut!
Italian sausages: I'm a tough customer on the Italian sausage front. Although the flavors were well balanced and the seasonings good, the texture was a little 'off' for me. Almost like there wasn't enough liquid binding it together tightly. The sausage was very loose inside the casing. 3/5 & 3/5

Service: super friendly service. The girl working the counter was pleasant and provided average service; but the gentleman that came to the front in a butcher's coat was very talkative, pleasant, and vocally appreciative of our business.
Service: 4 / 5
Price: For what i got, which was an incredibly fresh, high- quality product, i feel like i got beyond my money's worth. I would pay those prices again.

Final Thoughts: Any time we visit my wife's family in the Stanley- region, I have a feeling that I will find myself here buying some andouille sausage. From great service, to a high quality and unique product, I highly recommend you check this place out! read more
