A nice, small town grocery with very capable butcher shop, steaks can be cut to order. Our sandwiches here were great. We've eaten at the local counter/restaurant. Homemade soups were very good. Good daily specials. Not a fancy spot but good food, good prices. They have variety of baked goods, pies, muffins, daily? Because its size and lower volume, Im not sure I'd get fresh produce or seafood here but the butcher shop, counter restaurant, baked goods, small town vibe, all good. read more

Morgans has many delicious items to choose from. Things I've had, not in any particular order, their frozen lobster tails in the case are very good. They carry my favorite brand of ricotta and mozzarella cheese which is Polly-o. We had had several pies. My husband's favorite is blueberry. Their corn last season was terrific. Nice size, fresh and so sweet. I also purchase their prime rib every Friday. Really good and today we tried their 1/2 cheeseburger cooked just like we requested and we're very pleasantly surprised how juicy and delicious it was. The ladies in the cafe are the best! read more

I was camping in Keuka lake state park ad did a quick search for a butcher shop to buy some steaks, Morgan's grocery was near by and decided to try it out. The store has the most amazing cuts of meat, went back to the camp site and grill the perfect steak on open fire, the pie too was amazing, not to mention coldest beer ever. read more

The sausage breakfast sandwiches are incredible, the best in Penn Yan. Fresh cooked and real (probably local?) sausage that is far from a typical boring patty. Old school lunches such as hot turkey/meatloaf/beef are to die for. Beef vegetable soup is a must order, even if you save it for later. A unique experience at a lunch counter in back with high quality ingredients and service. A true gem! read more

Small grocery tightly packed with necessities. Great looking pies. I disliked that we couldn't wheel our shopping cart to our car. We bought gallons of water and carried them down the stairs to our car. So, this grocery is suitable for smaller, lighter items. Only one cashier when we visited, so there was a wait to check out. read more

Super adorable little grocery store with an AMAZING butcher/seafood counter AND deli counter. Seafood/Butcher - I absolutely love Morgan's for seafood, we always pick up our clams from here on the 4th, labor day and whenever we have big cookouts. They continue to carry a wide variety of cuts of meat and unique sausages that are always fresh and reasonably priced. Deli Counter - I live in Philly so I know a good hoagie when I see one. Their super Italian is AMAZING - it feeds a minimum of 2 people so be careful when you order! I absolutely love that they have daily specials and fresh soups available. Grocery - It certainly isn't a full stocked grocery store but it's perfect for the little things you forget or when you don't want to go into a full blown grocery store. There are several novelty items as well - I always walk out with more than I actually went in for. There is also a little baked goods section that looks so tempting...one day I will try that out as well! read more

Morgan's is great and has been for years! The meat selection is fantastic and very high quality. The seafood is good too. There are plenty of other groceries also. (Prices may be slightly more than a discount grocery.) The bakery products are some of the best available in the area. If you want a great steak and excellent meal Morgan's has it. read more

I bought two lobster tails and cooked them at home. One had a strong ammonia smell. So I googled it and it said it is spoild. So I took it back to Morgan's and she re weighed it and shorted me $12 dollars. So I'm paying $12 dollars for ice. She treated me like I was inconveniencing her. Never said sorry or nothing. Being dishonest will always come back and nip you in the butt. No packing dates on the seafood. read more

Renting a house on Keuke Lake and I forgot the bratwursts at home. The house manager recommended Morgan's Grocery. We ended up having the best homemade sausage on the grill. Fresh and tasty. This place has real quality meat products. I could tell by the line of people streaming in to the meat department. Quite the hidden gem. read more

Poor service - the server acted puzzled when I wanted to examine the $100+ beef loin I was trying to buy. He was snarky and belittling after I requested to see more than one loin to choose the size and shape of product I wanted. Any butcher (or basic grocery boy, as this person seems to be) knows to show the customer what they are buying before they put money down, especially when it's a cut of meat worth over $100. Clearly, Morgan's is not a butcher worth my time. Won't return and I encourage others to find a trustworthy butcher who's willing to let you see what you are buying before you pay for it. read more

Holy cow! Literally, the absolute best butcher in Penn Yan whose cuts are the best. Forget Tops! Make the journey a few blocks away to Morgan's. I have been a customer for many many years. Never have I ever met a classless ignorant animal, until michelle. She is rude. She has called myself and other lottery scum bags. She said this while I was in line getting tickets on several different days. I She drops the Fbomb repeatedly. She talks about all her coworkers like she is the greatest. She isnt where is the worst. I use to eat in no longer do I. How does she still have a job? She made myself and other uncomfortable. She does nothing but complain yell and act like, we the customers are the problem. How dare she. It's your job. I suggest you find another before myself and the rest if us stop coming. I'm so sick to my stomach over how she behaves and nothing is done about it. The rest of the staff are amazing. We have a cottage on Seneca Lake and in years past it was a chore to find good butchery in the area. Then a restaurant owner told us about Morgan's. The pork is superb, the CAB is out of this world and the prices are very competitive. Today the butcher hand cut my a 4 inch thick 4.5 pound sirloin. Cannot wait. I have bought roast for the grill, steaks, chops, and sausage...all excellent. The rest of the store is also very good and very handy. It is no Wegman's to be sure buy the products are quite good and it is easy to stop there quickly. I recommend it to everyone! read more
