We used Precious Pets for the cremation of our little kitty. They were kind and caring. They made a difficult time a little easier.

Poor availability. She is available at the office only by appointments, and she is late for my appointments. Communication was poor, too. Never replied back to my voice messages and text messages. Received no messages when the ash is ready for pickup. I had to contact her and she said she left a messages but no such call or text history on my phone. I regret I used the service I really hope the ash is really of my loved one. I really do. I'd never recommend this place. read more

Update from owner reply: I posted a picture of the wrong urn it is clearly scratched that was in the car when we picked it up. You never apologized not even when we arrived so that's a lie. All you said on the original call was you forgot your star on the paper work. Your defense response to people who give you a bad review says everything about you. My husband just said ok because we were done with you at that point and just wanted to be done with the situation that's why we didn't want you filling the urn necklace. I asked several times about meeting at summit and you all the sudden had issues with it makes if difficult for you to arrange to meet there even though it's 10 minutes from my house instead after working till 3am we got up to go to Auburn I wanted to ask for a refund and get a different urn somewhere else but my husband was to drained to want to have to deal with it. The name plate with the film removed still looks cheap also I knew to remove that. It's also a question you could ask people to put your cheap double sided name plate on the urn so they don't have to in a time that's already very difficult but don't worry we won't be back!! Will never use this place again. Event through our vet after our sweet girl passed away from cancer. We didn't want just the basic package that is offered with the vet so I called and ordered a different urn, added on to the name plate and ordered a necklace. When we finally got the call to pick up our girl from the vet. We discovered that not only did we not get the urn, necklace nor name plate the urn we did get was scratched. Called she said in her rush to get her back before the big holiday she for got some start or something. Was told our stuff would be in most likely Monday. Not only did we now have to go to Auburn to get things fixed but turns out she didn't write down what we wanted on the name plate so she had to do that still so this was going to be wrong from the beginning. What really got me was how nonchalant she was about everything like no big deal. The name plate looks cheap and you have to put it on yourself. The only reason for the second start is the clay paw print was beautiful and the necklace was beautiful. read more

I have several complaints about this place. But I am traumatized that they gave me the wrong pets remains and then acted like it was no big deal when we drove all the way back to get right remains. Wtf this was my daughter my heart no big deal! What!!?? I have no dought in my mind that other people have been given wrong remains. I paid for single cremation but why would I believe I have just my pets remains after given the wrong remains. Besides this big oops I have other complaints such as how the woman who checked in my pet acted when transferring my pet from gurney to the next she acted grossed out. She put the blankets I had my pet on in a bag and didn't bother throwing away the pee pee pads she just stuffed the pads into the bag with blankets. Then the next day I decided I wanted her nose and paw print so I emailed her asking for it to be done that I'd pay and know body bothered to reply even with a no. read more

We came here after one of our pets unexpectedly died and after doing our research and finding this was the only place with a rating higher than 2.3. When we brought him, they were very helpful and got us in the same day. We gave instructions of what we wanted to keep after his cremation, and when I picked him up two weeks later, I quickly realized that we didn't get what we asked/paid for. I called the place immediately to ask, in case they had forgotten to put the additional items in our envelope and Carrie took it extremely lightly and just said "oops I miss understood, that's my mistake" as she giggled repeatedly through the call as if it was funny. During the drop off, she took detailed notes and we even went over everything, not once, but twice. For them to not give us what was asked for was very disappointing, but the way she seemed careless and as if it wasn't a big deal, was plain out rude and heartless. Before I could even finish my sentence, she hung up on me after saying there was nothing she could do now. I was also not allowed to go inside to pick up my baby's ashes and belongings and was told to wait outside by my car. I was also told it would take about a week and I called to inquire on the status and was told she'd call me back by the end of day and I never got a call back. The whole process after dropping off was so unprofessional to say the least. I will not use their services in the future. These are the feathers we got vs the feathers we had asked for-which were a few tail ones and some of the more colorful ones from his wings. But instead we got some wing ones that don't even show his true vivid colors and are more like the inner wing feathers. Reply to owner's comment: When we dropped Paulie off, we did specify which feathers we wanted. The first thing I said was TAIL feathers, and then some wing feathers with the bright colors if possible. What we went over was what was verbally said, not what you wrote down on your paper. When I got my copy, I did notice it just said "wants some feathers", but being that we did discuss which ones and confirmed it twice, I trusted that's what was gonna be done. As far as you giggling, cause I never said laughing at me, yes you were through the whole call. You were either nervous because you got called out and you even admitted to making that mistake yourself during our conversation on the phone and now you're backtracking or I'm not sure why, but you most definitely were. What I paid for is for the cremation and everything that comes with it, which is the keepsakes of your pet such as feathers in our case. Funny how now you want to pick and chose what's included. If it's not something that comes with what I'm paying for, then you're telling me I wouldn't even get any if you last minute decided not to because I'm "not paying for them"?? You sound ridiculous honestly. So yes, I didn't fully get what I paid for!! So I'm not making false accusations or lying about anything. I have no reason to as I'm not looking for refunds or compensation of any sort. Just want people to really know how your place works and what really happens through the whole process. That's what reviews were invented for. To help the public in their decision making. As far as the picking up goes, yes, I was originally scheduled at 3 and I kindly called to see if I could come sooner, but would've understood if you didn't have the time or were booked already and would've respected my 3 o'clock appointment, but you never said no. Nowhere in the paperwork, or your website or even verbally were we told how your pick up process works and that we'd have to wait outside. If you don't want people assuming, then be clear and honest from the start. And lastly, you did hang up on me because I was clearly still talking and had my phone up to my ear when it disconnected after you just said "well, there's nothing I can do now" and that was all. Maybe you should be a little more humble and learn to take criticism in a constructive way. The fact that you can never take accountability for your actions or choice of words is beyond me. All the replies to the negative reviews are always similar to the reply I got but you make it seem like you're never in the wrong. read more

Carrie talked to me about options, and I was so happy to discover that having Chet cremated alone was an option, and even more so that it was affordable. Our sweet puppy, Lu, passed away after 18 blessed years with us. He was always a puppy in our eyes despite the number of years we were grateful to share with him. He passed away peacefully before the warm vet we had found to put him to sleep arrived (he was having a difficult day and we knew that it was the end) and she kindly recommended Precious Pets to us for cremation. Carrie the owner was great. We too chose to have a private cremation for Lu with the witnessing option similar to other reviewers. This gave my mum comfort that she took care of him till the end and with the deep void she is feeling that she was able to go home with his ashes (and only his ashes) the same day. One of my worst fears was that my sweet old girl would pass while I was away on a work trip. I had done a little research on options in case this actually happened, and remembered where our dear girl, Anja, was taken after she lost her battle with cancer while at Blue Pearl. I filed Precious Pets name away, hoping to never need it. On 12/12/18 our worst fear came true, and my daughter came home from school to find our sweet old girl had passed on. She was distraught, as was I. I called Precious Pets and spoke with Carrie, who was so warm and caring from the moment she answered the phone. Because my daughter was home alone, Carrie re-arranged her schedule so that she could come to my home to pick up my girl immediately. She also offered to hold our girl until I could get home so I could say goodbye. When you lose a family member, your mind can be cruel to you inthe questions it causes you to ask yourself. Losing my girl was devestating, but being able to see her before she was creamated was so healing and comforting in a way I cannot fully explain. Carrie and Shawn are true gems and I am SO grateful for their presence in the community. One of our pups recently passed away after staving off lymphoma for 6 months and I knew our usual vet's office had switched cremation providers - they used to use Precious Pets but recently switched to a very large conglomerate provider, whose facility is all the way up in Sultan, and who doesn't allow pet owners to their facility. The thought of my sweet pup's body being trucked that far (with how many other pets heaped in?) made me feel sick to my stomach, so I made my own arrangements with Carrie to bring Archer directly to them the evening of his home euthanasia and not even a week later I have his cremains, beautiful clay pawprints and perfect nose and paw inkprints back with me. Last month, very suddenly I lost my precious boy Murphy. For 8 years he was my companion, friend, loyal in every way. I found out about Precious Pets a year prior when my mom lost her cat. My husband called Carrie and she set everything up for us the night he passed, we brought him in the next morning. I had to put my kitty Luna to sleep due to aggressive cancer. It was the most horrible feeling in the world to make that choice.. I learned about this crematory when I was making plans for my oldest cat since she in her 20's and has kidney disease. This place caught my eye because they do a witness private cremation. We lost our dear little pug Lillie on the evening of November,18th 2020. We spent one last night with her and called The Precious Pet Animal Crematory in the morning as soon as they opened. No one answered, so I had to leave a message. Carrie called me back within about 20 minutes, but because I was not able to answer the phone she also left a message. When I listened to the message, I was shocked by the lack of compassion in what she said, and how she said it. She said in a fast speaking matter of fact way, as if it were a script, " Hello Edith this is Carrie at Precious Pets Animal Crematory just giving you a call back, I'm sorry I missed your call and I'm sorry for your loss. I do have some appointments available for drop off." For Drop Off???? We are calling these types of places because we have just lost our beloved pet, and to be told they have appointments available for Drop Off, is in my opinion, very insensitive. Carrie needs some retraining on compassion. First she needs to slow down her speaking, so that at least she sounds sincere. But, more importantly she need to rephrase the "Drop Off" part to something more sensitive, like, I have some appointments available to receive your beloved pet for aftercare. Drop Off sounds more like I'm using a disposal service for my pet. Because of this first impression, we chose to use a more compassionate cremation service. read more

I took my beagle Princess there after her passing. When i called, Carrie was very understanding and made it easy and flexible when choosing a time to bring her in, Carrie said i could bring her in whenever i was ready. I brought her in later that day and was allowed to take as much time as i needed to say goodbye. Carrie allowed Princess to stay in her bed and her blanket until the time of cremation,which meant the absolute world to me and i am forever grateful for that, it made me feel as ease that i didn't have to picture her in a body bag in a cold fridge. She answered all my questions and was very gentle and understanding about this whole process. She was not pushy about the urn situation, which made making the decision to find the perfect urn VERY easy and less painful. I ended up choosing the urn that is a cube where you can add three pictures and a quote. Usually you can only put the quote on the side, but she contacted the company personally and asked if we could put the quote on the TOP of the urn, which they allowed. For a very traumatic situation, Carrie made it a little easier by adapting to my family and my needs. I appreciate that she accepted and followed through with every single one of our weird or different requests, and NEVER made it seem like i was annoying for asking a question every single day of this entire process. I miss my baby more than ever, and i am forever grateful that she took care great care of her, while she was in her care. read more

I will say that the owner is unbelievably kind & professional. When I first called, when planning for my dogs aftercare, I was hysterical and could not get two words out. In the days leading up to my cat Caramal passing away I was having trouble making the decision to put her to sleep. Each time I would think that it would be better to put her to sleep or that she was close to going on her own I would call Precious Pets to give them a heads up, then I would change my mind and call back and update again, then change my mind again late at night and call again to ask yet again about my options. Dealing with her death was hard enough and I was so stressed that I literally couldn't remember what I had done, was doing, or was going to do. I forgot to eat for 5 days as I waited. Carrie put up with all of it with the amount of compassion I really needed. I would call for information and she would end up listening to me cry and wail and tell her about my cat because I just needed to cry and she was the only person within' contact at the time. She didn't just listen, she participated in the conversations and helped me get it out. When we finally made the decision to put my cat down it was a spur of the moment one. I knew I wanted to spend the whole day with her before I said goodbye then go to sleep soon after so I didn't have to think about it right away so we scheduled her to be euthanized at 7pm. At the same time I knew that if I didn't get her body out of the house right after I would have a hard time giving it up and letting go the next day. On about 2 hours notice Carrie dropped her plans and drove to meet us at the Crematory well after regular business hours. She offered to come pick it up herself but I felt I owed it to my cat to do it personally. When we got there she made the whole process very easy and gave us as much time as we wanted in the mourning room to say goodbye. In my grief I still wanted to do as much as I could for my cat, to make sure everything was perfect as I could make it. She put up with all my requests and they followed it to the letter. She went above and beyond what I expected when I expressed how distressed I was that my cat was caked in food and urine from the worst moments of her last day and how I didn't want to send her off dirty. She volunteered to bathe her up nice and clean for me, and she did. My baby went to heaven looking her best. I didn't have to wait too long before her remains were finished. The custom urn I had picked out had been delayed in shipping. Instead of waiting the extra days till the urn came, they let me take her home in a temporary urn early. When my urn was delivered, I watched Carrie's husband gently transfer her to the new urn while Carrie talked to me about how I was doing. They even let me keep the temporary urn because I had grown attached to it. Carrie checked up on me afterward to be sure I was ok, as at the time I was taking it pretty hard. A week afterward I was letting my dogs out when I realized my next door neighbors house was on fire. She got out OK but only after getting some bad burns trying to rescue the cats she had been fostering for a long time from the burning house. Unfortunately the house burned so hot and so fast that she lost all 8 of them before she was overwhelmed by the flames. Even though they were foster cats, she loved them as her own. The shelter she was fostering for didn't have the funds to help her handle their remains, animal control wasn't able to help, she couldn't bury them on her condemned property, it looked as though her only option was to take her babies to the dump. I called Precious Pets in hopes they would know of any charity or a group that could help my neighbor with her cats. Precious Pets volunteered to come find and retrieve their remains from inside what was left standing of her home, handle everything, cremate all 8 cats and return them to her however my neighbor wanted absolutely free. Since my neighbor's house burned down she didn't really have a place where she stays and things can be dropped off and delivered to reach her easily so Carrie dropped them off with me, her neighbor, till she came to pick them up. My neighbor had chosen to put them in one big urn made of really nice heavy wood with a pretty finish and a gold plaque on it custom engraved so that everyone knows it contains my neighbor's angels. I glanced that the invoice and was amazed to see that Precious Pets had gifted my neighbor over $1,000 worth of work and didn't even have her pay a dime. Obviously, I highly recommend using Precious Pets. In fact, I pretty much insist you at least look into them if you might be needing their services soon. read more

I wanted to thank you for beautifully handling Ryeland our beloved famous cat who suddenly passed on after a car accident. Ryeland was the subject of a children's book series called "Ryeland's Tail" and he also appeared on the cooking TV show in Seattle WA titled "Lily's Sizzling". His memory lives on and I felt very comforted having him back home in some form or another. The wooden box and name plaque was all nicely made and the commemorative certificate was also a nice touch. We lost our precious 19 year old cat Sawyer, and opted for a witnessed cremation so we could have one more goodbye with her. It was peaceful and we went home with her ashes as soon as the cremation was over. Carrie has given us some peace during a very painful time in our lives. Carrie was wonderful, kind and accommodating throughout the entire process. This is a great place, the owners care about people and their pets as if they were their own. The facility is very nice and has a good selection of urns and wooden boxes but there is no pressure to buy one from them as they will give you a complimentary urn. They are honest, transparent and truly focused on helping you through what is a very painful time. It's been a few years since I used them. But a friend of mines dog just passed away, and I've recommended Pp. My 17 year old kitty passed away in 2011. She was my everything, and I was heartbroken. The woman owner was super sweet, respectful and kind. I didn't have the money upfront (if j remember correctly, I was getting paid the next day or the day I was to pick her up). The owner worked with me, and I was able to pay when I picked her up. She assured me that she would be taken well care of, and I 100% believe her. She gave me a private moment to say my goodbyes, in a private room. I couldn't have asked for a more incredibly sensitive and caring experience. They made it so much easy for me, and I'll never forget that. She's in a beautiful maple box that sits next to my bed. And I have the owners of precious pets to thank for that.
