My eyeglasses were in desperate need of repair to both flex hinges; I researched eyeglasses repair on-line and realized that Precise Eyeglass & Frame Repair was the place to go. Although the location isn't close to where I live, I was very glad I made the journey. The owner was extremely helpful and within 10 -15 minutes had replaced the hinges and arms to where they are now more comfortable and better fitting that the original ever were and at a price that has convinced me that old fashioned, great customer service can still be found. Eye glass repairs while you wait! Perfect motto for this business. There is nothing more satisfying than having someone fix things that are broken. I had a pair of glasses that had broken and after trying to find someone to fix them, I was told to check out precise eyeglass and frame repair. I'm so glad I did! When the place from where I purchased the frames originally told me they could not help me and the manufacture of my eyeglasses said they did not make them anymore, I was out of luck. Instead of purchasing a whole new set of frames and lenses, this doctor was able to fix my broken frame within 10 minutes. He gladly asked me to wait, and I did. You are welcome to drop them off and come back in--but it was a simple fix and did not take long at all. Before I left, he told me that he could help me in the future with eyeglasses and that it would be cheaper coming to him. By the looks of the people he was helping in his office, I can tell that he is correct! People know him and know he does his job well. He is well-known in the 'eye' world and gets the job done. As I was waiting, I overheard another man tell him the same exact thing: his doctor could not help him but sent him to precise eyeglasses! Within the 30 minutes that I was there, he was able to help five different people. He was very polite and kind. I did not feel like he was trying to sell me anything but instead was trying to help me. He did very well in managing all the aspects of his office, as he works for himself and by himself. After reading Dale Thompson's comments on my review of his business, "Precise Eyeglass & Frame Repair" I feel that a follow-up is necessary in order to inform Yelp readers of our disastrous experience there. First off, it's ludicrous to think that his offer of a $30.00 refund after ruining a $600.00 frame is, "a small price to restore vision"... his words, not mine. In addition, he continues in his comment on our review to say, "At the time you seemed to think it was a great idea and I proceeded". Who in their right mind would think it a, "great idea" to receive a cheap, ugly, ill fitting pair of $30.00 glasses to replace the $600.00 pair that Mr. Thompson had just ruined? Oh, and the refinish process he speaks of was to apply nail polish to the scorched area. That is, if they had not been ruined and irreparable. Nail polish on $600.00 frames that had been scorched... yeah right! Mr. Thompson's last comment on my review really speaks volumes about his character, it reads, "Well after nearly a month im still waiting on customer to come in and get his refund.... Guess the experience wasn't that bad after all..." My review was written 10 days ago. Not, "nearly a month" ago as he states. Mr. Thompson's arrogance and his need to stretch the truth should tell potential customers all they need to know about the way business is conducted at Precise Eyeglass & Frame Repair. To all Yelp readers, read my review. Look at the photos of the ruined pair and the $30.00 replacement glasses. You be the judge. Let's just say you spent a lot of money on a pair of glasses. Then you accidentally broke them in a way that was not easily repaired. Furthermore, let us posit that you are unwilling to spend a lot of money again to replace them. If this is you, then you should stop by Precise Eyeglass Repair. For less than $25, they can fix almost anything that has broken on your glasses. In my case, they were able to solder back on the tiny little nose pad arm that had broken off. I found this place on Yelp (of course) and headed north to see if they had a magician who could put the pieces of my 10+ year-old glasses back together! Sure enough, Dale replaced the bridge and I was out in less than 15 minutes. The price was more than reasonable, the location convenient, and I got a demonstration of some really cool frames that bend without breaking....I plan to get them after my next eye exam. I was out with a friend when I sat on my OGA glasses breaking the filament that holds both lenses and bending the fame. These frames were one of the few that fit my enormous Scandinavian head and cost a ridiculous sum. I looked at them and could see little angle-winged hundred dollar bills flying away to eyeglass heaven. My buddy said, "Take 'em to Precise Eyeglass on Northland. He'll fix those while you wait for a fair price." It cost me $10. Seriously. Ya, that's pretty darn fair. It actually took about 20 minutes to do the repair so I went over to Lulu's for a good lunch. Went here as a last resort and the guy sensed my desperation I'm sure. I found out I couldn't get new glasses due to insurance not covering it until May so the cheap glasses I bought to hold me over needed to be repaired after my two year old toddler got to them. Just to swap out the two ear temples cost $35 plus tax! The glasses didn't even cost that much! I'm so pissed right now and feel like my eyesight is being held hostage! I can not recommend this place to anyone. It was the closest and easiest place to get to with the timeframe I had and I am totally taking a loss. The arm on my expensive eyeglasses inexplicably broke off, and after being turned away from Lenscrafters where I purchased the glasses two years previously, I contacted Precise Eyeglass repair. At an affordable cost (less than $25) he soldered the arm back on and it works like new. I waited about 10 minutes. Dale himself was friendly and was appreciative of the business. While working out of state, I could find no one similar and had to wait weeks using duct tape until I came home and he fixed them. Today, no one in the shop, which BTW is far from a dump, and he promptly repaired them in about 10 minutes. I was glad to pay the ridiculously low fee. For the guy complaining about $35 for a 10 minute job, how do you expect someone to run a business and make a salary for less? Absolutely the best repair facility I've found in Cincinnati, and I'm 70 years old and tried most all of them . The owner has always treated me with the utmost respect, courtesy and professionalism. If I could give 6 stars, I would ! In most cases he can fix your glasses while you wait and is very reasonable compared to other repair shops . I've gone to him about 5 times now, and he has been able to resolve any type of repair that I have . I guess I need to be more careful with my glasses, but when I screw up and break them, I know I have a hero in waiting ! read more

The guy that works there is pretty straight forward. He looks at the glasses and tells you the price and how long it will take to repair. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Only reason it's not 5 stars is cause the waiting room is kinda depressing and out of date (old 15 inch box tv on top of a very old vending machine). STAY AWAY from this guy, he's nothing but a rip-off, I brought a pair of prescription glasses for $200.00, a couple days later I had trouble seeing, so I took them back and I said i want my money back, Dale gave me a hundred dollar bill but couldn't refund the other hundred for the lenses. Ya they were prescription, but nowhere on the receipt did it mention a return. O ya I cant refund a prescription lens, BS. Then my old pair of glasses came loose n broke so he welded them. After that, I called the bbb on him to file a complaint on him, the next thing was that my glasses got broken again. This guy is as good as it gets! This is my third visit and each time I walk away happy and pleased with the pricing. Yesterday's visit was to drop off three pairs of glasses with various issues and he asked me if I wanted to wait!
