Snyder's was recommended by the agent who represented me in the purchase of my house. I had one…read moreproblem that needed an expedited repair due to safety, and another that I "inherited" from the previous owner. The first was re-installation of the commode in the main bathroom due to the floor having rotted-out. Once that was taken care of, I talked with Tony as I wanted to replace a 30+ year old unit in questionable condition (that was already detached from the floor) with a newer unit that would hopefully be less maintenance intensive. All I can say is that after two months, the result is as he promised. The second problem (the one I "inherited") was that the previous owner of my house was unable to get the jetted tub to "work right." Well, with an eighty gallon tub and and a forty gallon hot water heater, you don't have to be an engineer to figure out the problem. The problem now becomes finding the solution to the problem. After Tony explained his suggestion in response to my query, I decided to go with that. It wasn't cheap (more to come on cost), but solved the problem with not only the jetted tub, but also with the dishwasher! Now about costs... As I was preparing to move out of Virginia, I had to have some plumbing work done on my former house. Using that as a baseline, I have to consider Snyder's charges to be consistent with the quality you're getting. Think about how far they have to travel to wherever you may be. Think about the precision with which the work has to be done. This is serious engineering with all sorts of potential government "gotchas" waiting for you and for them! "Gotchas", that in the hands of an unscrupulous local government could cause you to be evicted with your house condemned! So, I consider Snyder's pricing to be fair. As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for". Finally, the owner, Tony Snyder, takes Customer Service personally and very seriously. When I had a concern, he texted me and said "someone will be out within a half-hour". In twenty minutes, he shows up and takes care of the problem himself. Summary: Strongest possible recommend!

During the recent cold snap that we experienced over the Christmas Holiday, Snyder's was the…read more"recommended" plumber at Lakeside. All this company has done was take advantage of the elderly who are living on an extremely tight budget. To offer any type of assistance, Snyder's demanded a fee of $720 as a 2 hour minimum and any additional time would be extra. This did not include any materials. I dont feel that he should work for free but to charge anyone this type of money right at the holidays just shows his character. Then comes the materials. His markup on the water meters is beyond outrageous and borderline criminal. Again it should not be free but to almost double the prices in a time of need just don't set well with me especially when you are talking about the elderly who's water can be a life or death situation. Not to mention that he turned everyone's water off at the main line to the park and then caused damages to numerous homes when he turned the water back on and did not properly release the pressure first. When confronted with this the reply was your line must have been frozen first. It has turned into a money racket. Please think twice before using this company.
