I actually checked out a few auto body repair shops before going with Precision Collision (PC) in Pomfret, CT and I made the right choice. FIRST IMPRESSION: Elaine at the front desk walked me through the process. She was very kind and patient. You'd be surprised at some of the off-putting/uncomfortable/ or condescending interactions I had at other shops before coming here. She didn't need much information other than my insurance quote. I was given a drop-off date and told how long the repair should take. She made sure I knew how the rental car situation would work. She was very proactive; she called me a week before the drop-off date to let me know she hadn't heard anything about my car rental reservation and wanted to alert me. DROP-OFF: On the day of, I had car rental issues, none of which was PC's issue, but Elaine again was patient with me until I had that straightened out and offered to make me a cup of coffee. PICKUP: -which was indeed the expected date originally quoted to me, I had some issues with my debit card and it was almost closing time. Both Elaine and Ken were so very patient with me. They allowed me to take more time to go to the nearby bank branch to clear up the issue, which put me back at PC after closing time, on a Friday no less. Ken was gracious about the whole transaction and walked me to my car. WORK PERFORMED: -was a big replacement from a rear end collision. They were able to work a previous damage that directly affected the job they would be performing into a supplemental charge to the insurance company. When I say that car never looked so good, I truly mean that. The new version of my car was thoroughly detailed inside and out and the replacement was seamless. I stopped at Precision Collision after receiving an estimate from another local repair shop. The other shop gave me a written estimate for almost $500.00 to repair a scratch on my door. The gentleman at Precision came out, inspected my car, left for a minute and came back with a cloth and rubbing compound--he removed the scratch and refused to be compensated! It is so refreshing to find a local business where people are so honest and willing to help. I highly recommend getting an estimate from this business if you are ever in the need for auto service!!! read more

Don't go here very unskilled and management is horrible. If i could give no stars i would. I brought my 2014 legacy here after a collision with a deer. When I asked about a time frame on how long it would take they said two to four weeks. IT took 64 days. At the cost of 11,567$. When I went to pick it up the key pad wasn't working so the asked me to come back next day turned out it was a fuse. On the way home I realized the panels for curtain airbags weren't connected the ends were just tucked in and clips that actually hold them in place were broken from crash and never replaced so we turned around and went back. They replaced those and then we also noticed the head liner which had been replaced was flapping in the wind. Also one of the roof handle had broken clips which they "still waiting on parts to come in" 6 months later and are now ignoring ou phone calls, and just recently the side skirt on drivers side under doors started flapping. A mount on it was broken when They removed them to paint nose of the car and instead of replacing it the glued together. I can see the glue globbed am over it. After the first hot day glue came apart what a hack job. They said they would fix it and only addressed the clips on curtain air bags everything else they made excuses for .. When they replaced the clips for curtain air bag plates there own mechanic looked at head liner and said that's not right that's a hack job. When I told owner about what his mechanic said he replied he's not an upholstery specialist he doesn't know what he's taking about. They said the headliner was as good as they could get. Which isn't good there's a gap in between both dome lights where head liner meets and flaps pretty bad when Windows are down because they cut to much of the backing of head liner out. They blamed it on the after market sun roof and said that didn't specialize in it so they had sent it out to Jim's upholstery in Putnam ct. I told them when sun roof was put in headliner was cut and in stalled correctly and didn't flap like a sail in the wind. They said the upholstery specialist they sent it to doesn't specialise in after market sun roofs. So why send it to him. During repair they said they it was taking so long cause they where trying to contact company that put sunroof in and couldn't. So I did and had them contact them . They opted with out my permission to send it to Jim's hack shop in Putnam. When I told them I wasn't happy with it they said well that's as good as we can get it after they tried to tighten up the headliner but couldn't cause there was no backing left to headliner. I told them they needed to make it right and have head liner replaced by some one who knows what there doing but refused they said when head liner tears apart they'll fix its because that's as good as it's gonna get and they weren't paying for headliner out of pocket. Are you kidding me 11 grand that's the best they can do. I could do better and have no experience. So my car still needs clips for handles, a headliner and side skirt and the best part I already paid for those. I can't stress how unprofessional this place is and how bad the management is. My car was supposed to be repaired to the condition it was in prior to accident instead I got as good as it's gonna get. Smh read more

Have gone to Precision Collision 4 times over the last year. One time to have a driver's door hinge replaced on my maxima , two times to have door window regulators replaced, and one time to have body work done after a collision. Every time was a great experience, Ken assessed the repair and was easy and fair to deal with. Matt the shop foreman was receptive to questions and made sure that the work was done right and on time. read more

Had another excellent experience at precision collision. They do a super job from intake to return and everyone is excellent. I highly recommend them for auto body repair. read more
