This is my "go to" shop now! I do most of my maintenance and upgrades to my bikes but found myself needing help with ABS brakes. They didn't have the ABS SCAN tool needed but they got me in contact with someone who did. I've had several tires mounted here and no matter how busy they are they always fit me in somehow! And that's saying a lot because they are always busy. Super friendly , knowledgeable and I love going there to talk shop with the guys. Had my newly purchased, used Harley serviced here. No appointment needed. I got to pick the oils, cost of the oil change will be based on selection. I got Amsoil premium and the cost out the door was $30 cheaper than a closer shop. The team is quick, answer questions, even stupid ones, and have a great team of techs out back. This might be a decent bike shop. I did not feel "welcomed". I had a difficult time getting an estimate for tires, battery and oil change. I resorted to writing the numbers that the guy behind the counter threw at me. The prices were not competitive. Finally I decided to go elsewhere. read more

He took the time, about 2 1/2 hrs, to go through the bike I was looking to purchase on consignment. We saw a couple things and Ron took care of them right then and there. Ben is right, it is a "real" motorcycle shop. A little background first. I have been riding for 40+ years. Unfortunately, I have no Mechanical ability whatsoever. None. Zero. Zilch. if I use a wrench something gets snapped off. If I have to put in a bolt something gets cross threaded. So, when I go to a motorcycle repair shop I am at the mercy of the writer. They look at my hands and nails and see meticulous fingernails and extremely clean hands because I am involved in the medical field and wash my hand about 150 times a day. I first moved to Sarasota in 1998. I bought two Harleys from a dealer in Sarasota and Manatee County. I dealt with them for approximately five years. Adequate work, but I thought I was getting taken to the cleaners every time. Then I went to an independent who was very inexpensive, but his work was sloppy. He put a six speed transmission in my Road King. It works great, except for the fact that the heel toe shifter never returned to the neutral position, making shifting a chore. About 30,000 miles ago I went to Precision Cycle. The owner, Ron and the writer/mechanic Rob were two of the nicest guys I've ever met. they have excellent mechanics. Ron calles you a couple of days after works been done just to check and make sure that everything is still to your satisfaction. I trust them and Precision Cycle implicitly, and would have absolutely no problem recommending them to anyone. read more

Nice, honest guys, good work, fair pricing. I stopped in for a tune up on my trip from CT to Seattle the longest way possible. They could have really taken advantage like most people do to tourist who they will never see again. But they were the opposite. While staying in Siesta Key my bike dumped its oil. This was on Sunday. Called another biker I know in area, arrangements were made with a specific mechanic. Bike was picked up. I came home and went into surgery two days later. The day after surgery I am told the mechanic wasn't available due to a death. The person who had my bike took it upon themselves to have Precision Cycle pick up my bike. This shop picked up my bike without my authorization. They did not contact me. 5 days go by (I'm still recovering) and no call. I obtain all info from the person who gave them my bike and call. I advise I am the owner of the bike and John tells me yes we know i have your name and number. I know your live in Tampa I see the 813. Quite frankly I didn't appreciate the snobby attitude. I'm told they haven't looked at it because of all the walk-ins (??) I try to be patient. Wait two more days. No call. Call both the mechanics I use here in Tampa. Explain the seal for water pump that separates the oil and water broke. Both were ready to handle it. I call these people again. John answers again. I ask if bike has been checked yet. He says no. Day 7. I advised him not to check it i will be driving down to Sarasota in the morning to pick up my bike. About an hour later I get a call back. Asking me if they jump it to front of line will I agree they handle bike. Since the person who let them take my bike gave me a bs story of the screws on water pump being stripped, I ask him to do me the favor grab an 8mm socket and turn both the screws holding in water pump and tell me if they we stripped. (The purpose of my question was to know if they were honest and confirm the other person lied) I knew they weren't. He laughs at me for making request and says sure ill call you back in a few minutes. He doesn't. I call back an hour later, he confirms screws aren't stripped and says the mechanic said oil isn't coming from there. He adds a water pump would not cause oil to leak. (Not actually a true statement) I tell them to go ahead and check bike. Next call I get is the bike is ready. My temper inside is boiling. It is ILLEGAL FOR ANY MECHANIC SHOP to complete repairs without first contacting customer and advising of diagnosis and providing a full estimate of costs. These people didn't bother to reach out to me. They take it without my permission. You don't pick up a vehicle or bike without owners permission. Then they keep it 7 days without bothering to look at it or contact owner. Then they fix it with out bothering to even advise owner what was wrong with it. AND to they put Yamaha parts into my Suzuki. I do NOT allow anything but OEM on my bike. I argued this point with John and he tried to say they did this because I was rushing them. Negative. I called twice in 7 days. The law is the law. This guy thinks he's above it and is dismissive in talking to women about repairs. And to add i was charged pick up charge i never authorized and inflated time for repair. Water pump seal is a half hour task. He inflated it to 1.5 hours at $90 hr which is higher than any of the mechanics up here. Horrible place. read more

I went to this shop to have a front tire put on my roadking. I told them not to touch anything else that the bike was fine..So someone took it upon them self not to lesson and pulled the sparkplugs and when putting them back in cross thred the front sparkplug and screwed up the threds on the front head...... Why in the hell they would pull my spark plugs and mess with the engine after I told them not to, is beon me... After getting back here to Missouri and pulling the spark plugs I found this and now it's going to cost me 525.00 to fix their f@#kup.. I am going to call them tomorrow and see if they are willing to pay for their screw up.. more to come I am sure... read more

I have been taking my bike to Precision for several years. I have challenged them with many out of the ordinary needs (hitches, air horns, wiring harnesses, extra lighting, etc). These folks have risen to every requirement. The owner almost always has followed up with a phone call within a few days to make sure that his employees took good care of me and my bike. I have personally used this shop many times. I took my 06 Honda to Happs after a wiring fire. They told me to contact my insurance company as it was going to be a very large bill. Was told to contact Precision by a friend. The staff there was extremely helpful, and friendly. After working on the bike for 3 days of tear down and assembly they had me back on the road. The cost was very cheap and the quality of workmanship was fantastic. They kept me in the loop the whole time. As I reside in Ontario Canada and down to Florida with a motorcycle they could have hosed me, but instead was they were the opposite. Today woke up after a trip to Key West on the bike found a large spike in my rear tire. I called Precision and they got me right in and had me back on the road in an hour. Charged me $25 for installing a valve stem on a front tire I brought in to them. Literally took 4 minutes. I called Hap's Honda afterwards to see what they charge and Hap's said it costs $15.
