My life will never be the same after going here. I am in extreme pain every single day since receiving fillings. Shortly after treatment their work has been causing me pain and failing, one right after the other. The fillings were done so poorly.The dentist does the drilling but the assistant, Danielle, does the filling and she was not skilled and was very rude. She also rested the hand piece of the polishing drill against my lower front teeth and chipped a corner of one of them off. The matrix band was tightened so tight around one of the teeth she worked on that it caused permanent nerve damage there. She also sanded so much of my teeth away during the bite adjustment that my teeth no longer made contact throwing off my whole bite and jaw. Not only it has led to me having to have more work done elsewhere spending thousands of dollars, but I can do longer work, I have completely lost my ability to earn an income due to the extreme pain I am in everyday. I can barely talk or eat. I was dental pain free prior to coming here. I have lost my life. All my future plans are gone. I cannot perform basic daily activities, and and hardly leave the house. I am exhausted from the pain and financial strain this has caused. Go elsewhere if you value your life. read more

Most people probably will not have a problem with this place as our issue is unique. PDC ran our insurance for which they said was in network and were in contact with the insurance company to make sure that we paid the amount we had to pay and all our family went there. Well then we get a call from them saying our insurance company is in network but paying them the out of network rates. As a courtesy we tried to talk to the insurance company but we did not really get anywhere. Now they are saying "I apologize for the inconvenience of this matter.  Unfortunately, your policy is, and always has been a "No Network" policy.  Unfortunately it seems that we were all misinformed initially.  Our office contacts insurance companies as a courtesy to verify benefits.  The insurance companies protect themselves with the disclaimer that "the benefits given are not a guarantee of coverage".  The estimates that our system generates is only as good as the information we receive from the insurance companies.  The estimates we go over in our office prior to any restorative work is just that.  An estimate.  We cannot guarantee any specific payment from the insurance company due to their disclaimer." Being thousands of dollars off is not an estimate. I will add that even though I had an appointment to see the dentist, they spent too much time taking X-rays that the insurance would not pay for because they exceeded a full mouth series. I kind of wanted to leave this alone because of the bad experience I received. My experience was about 2 years ago, I went in for a possible root canal found out in the middle of getting a root canal that he wasn't able to perform it and that you have to extract it. I was actually okay with that actually the whole experience I was okay with even though the dentist / owner of the office kind of remind me of a shady car salesman. But overall The experience wasn't really that good. In the dental chair I was okay but his front desk team really sucks. The two women that were working out front I'm not going to call him racist but I think that they had some preconceived notion of who or what I was and being a person of color is hard to convince people otherwise that I'm a normal person just like everyone else who walks in that office. maybe it was because the way I was dressed I admitted most of my visits were right after work so instead of going home and change I would actually come and work clothes and maybe I wasn't very presentable, or maybe they just thought that I couldn't afford to have dental services there I own a big five bedroom home out there not to mention I own three apartment buildings. That's not something to brag about by the way but when people kind of talk down at you and don't give you the kind of respect that you think that you should deserve it's kind of off-putting. So long story short after I end up getting the extraction done I was just done with that office for the next few months they did call me about you know check ups and getting cleaning but I just I was done with that office read more

Today was my first visit and it was absolutely the best appointment I've ever been to! The office and staff took every precaution for Covid safety, for starters. Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Alisa did an amazing job with my X-rays and cleaning. I switched my whole family here after going to a local, very large dental practice for 15+ years. I had been meaning to switch Dentists for years because I was tired of feeling like just a number and getting totally rushed through our visits. One word . . . Outstanding! A perfect blending of old fashion personal touch, knowledge, and state of the art - high tech. While searching for a local dentist, I came across Precision Dental Center and Dr. John Balon, and his staff. From the scheduling of appointment to the day after treatment, I have been thoroughly impressed. My appointment was at 9am, and I sat down in the treatment room with Dr. Balon and his assistant at 9am. Prior to coming into the office I went to their website (www.dentistchesterton.com) and was equally wowed by how easily negotiable and the resources available, directions, times, contact and scheduling software. Oh, and they return your emails and phone calls! After filling out a new patient survey and questionnaire, Dr. Balon sat down and chatted with me. Made me feel comfortable, relaxed, and treated me with respect. (He never once scolded me or made me feel guilty for past dental hygiene sins) The clinical and office support staff took the time to go over insurance, procedures, comfort issues. I had a comprehensive initial exam, x-rays, and reviewed those with the doctor to develop a phased treatment plan based on my insurance, my immediate needs (pain and abscess), schedule, finances, and other issues. Afterwards, we discussed remedial treatments to stabilize my mouth, which will allow me to decide on the treatment options presented. The communications between doctor and staff is respectful, relaxed, professional, which gave me a sense of being at ease. I had to start with 3 extractions. We did them that morning. During the entire process, I was made to feel comfortable, relaxed, and I felt they had a genuine concern for my well-being. Afterwards, my scripts were already to be picked up at the local pharmacy. Dr. Balon called me later that evening to check on how I was feeling and to recommend some pain management techniques. His staff gave me helpful information for followup and to research my future treatment options. What made this choice easier was the fact that here is a professional, who chose to bring his business back to the community where he and his wife went to school, and grew up. Once you meet Dr. Balon, his staff Tiffany and Faith, and see the state-of-the-art facility and equipment , you will agree with me. Also, the dunes artwork and newly remodeled office spaces are top-notch. I would highly recommend Precision Dental Center. i am one of those guys that doesn't do exactly what he's supposed to do when he's supposed to do it... having said that, i had a few cavities and i knew it, but being reluctant, i hadn't seen a dentist in a couple years. when i walked in wednesday 12/5/2018 i honestly didn't know what to expect, i was greeted very warmly by their office assistants, and when my name was called, i followed a young lady to a room and sat down with a bit of anxiety i must admit, a few questions were asked, and i was told a dr. would see me shortly, i figured great, 20-30 minutes i'll be sitting here in this chair like every other dr i have been to, waiting and more waiting.... i was wrong, less than 2 minutes later a young man walks in and introduces himself as dr. mark jurek, he had a very calm yet attentive demeanor, and i was pleasantly surprised and felt completely at ease, just from the vibe he carried into that room with him. we discussed what i was there for, he didn't shame me for not seeing a dentist sooner, he was professional, to the point, and i must admit he is a extremely kind man. i had a very bad cavity on one of my lower front teeth, where two teeth had crossed each other and it was very ugly, i was very embarrassed to smile, and i explained that to him, he said he would fix it and i believed him. i wish i had before and after pictures because i would post them here for the whole world to see his work, that man is an artist, how he was able to remove that decayed area from that tooth and fill it back in without anyone ever being able to notice is beyond me, i went home and stared at that tooth in the mirror what seemed like forever.... i gotta tell you folks, I GOT MY SMILE BACK, and i have no more embarrassment when doing so, now all i want to do is smile, my confidence is back along with my smile, i just can't say enough nice things about precision dental, their whole entire staff is wonderfully lovely people, if you are on the fence about which dentist to go to, do not hesitate, go to precision, i promise you, you will not be disappointed one bit. i wish i could give 10 stars, no joke, they are that excellent. warmest regards and best wishes to all of those working at precision dental. ~ kev. read more
