I called precision overhead garage service, and they immediately set up an appointment the same day. The technician Daniel came before the time scheduled and completed the job fast and professionally. I had a broken Garage Door spring that he replaced. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend them. They showed me various options on what to do but they were very expensive. I chose the most basic option because all I needed was a spring replaced. If you're not careful, you could spend thousands of dollars on your garage door. Malik called ahead to tell me when he was arriving. He arrived as scheduled and reviewed the work order and gave me an opportunity to ask questions and share any other details before starting. Malik started with the work installing the new doors and motors right away and continued until it was completed. When completed he spent some time reviewing the set up and operation of the remote pads and demonstrated the safety features. My dad is a retired carpenter and he also thought they did an excellent job installing the doors, he also appreciated how clean they left the garage / their work space afterwards. He is usually a grouch, so this is a huge compliment! I knocked off a star for the manufacturing of the wood doors itself that we had custom made. They arrived primed and ready to be painted, but the surface needed extra sanding (few dings and rough surfaces) and the priming job could have been better. These people are crooks. They overcharge me because i'm a Black woman. I was so worried about my garage door falling I was a little vulnerable. I did question the price. This guy had prices from 1100 lowest of 400 & something. Brian Birchler the repair guy said one side was very difficult to do. It took him 20 mins. He charged me $800. He was given cash! He came with me to the bank. He was originally charging 927.00 with taxes. Brian changed the springs and wires. He still has not sent me a receipt. Karma will get you Brian!! read more

Anthony came out did measurements of doors. We had picked out our designs and models from what he had showed us for our 2 garage doors.Anthony told us someone would call with quotes. It has been almost 2 weeks still can't get quotes and have called twice. Not reliable if they can't even get you a quote. I had three very positive experiences with this company over the past month. So why am I docking them a star, you say? Am I some kind of impossible-to-please malcontent? Nay! See, that's just it. Even though all three interactions were very positive, you don't really WANT three interactions with your garage door guy, know what I'm saying? My door opener motor was like 25 years old. I called Precision. They came out and installed the most beautiful, quiet one ever. If a man can love a garage door motor, I loved this motor (bonus points if you catch the Broadway Danny Rose reference there...). After about two weeks, it suddenly wouldn't close. I got a crazy code that said 4-4-4-4 excessive force detected. They walked me through on the phone how to reset it -- I did and it worked fine for a few more days. Then happened again. The guy came out again to fix it. But he couldn't replicate the problem -- you know how that is. So then it happened a few more times, each time I would reset it and it'd work fine. But the problem was that it takes a few minutes to reset -- not a big deal but invariably I was in some giant hurry when it decided not to close. So they sent another guy out -- Eric and his assistant Dan. The nicest, ablest garage guys ever. Eric also couldn't fix or replicate the problem. But he replaced the whole "motherboard" of my unit (why a simple motor needs a motherboard is a subject for another review). Seems to be working great. Even better, he hooked me up so that I can now raise and lower my door on my iphone. I cannot wait to need to do that for G-d knows what reason. No complaints about this company and their people are excellent -- just wish I didn't have to miss work a bunch of times to get where I needed to be! read more
