You can tell when people actually like their jobs. I had a new wood garage door installed. Everything except a 1 yr. old opener was replaced. Moran Criveano met me for an inspection/price quote. I have used Precision twice. A few years ago, they replaced the springs and made other adjustments. While the quality of the work was good, the final cost was significantly higher than the initial quote due to upselling. Despite some reservations, I chose to use their services again to replace the garage door opener. The initial quote provided via chat was $700; however, the final cost was $1,300. I was told they could install the lower-priced option, but it was described as noisy and unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, no intermediate options were presented. I did not have a pleasant experience with the answering service at all. I hope that they take this feedback and do something about that. However, I don't want to penalize Mike M. who was great to work with. Mike M. was extremely knowledgeable, responsive and personable. I had him out a bit too early to the job site, but he was happy to come back once we were ready. I think it would be helpful if the intake included asking what stage is the property in, etc. to save Mike time in the future. However, it was good to meet him, go through the different options, and he helped point out the different types of garages on my street. He gave me detailed instructions directly to my GC on what needs to get done in order to prep for the install. When I've had issues, he was always available to talk through it with me. When our garage door broke and we called Precision Door service, we were happy to receive someone within 3 hrs. We had a very nice repair man Carlos who evaluated our need and wrote up a bill for Liftmaster Elite with no springs or rollers included for $17oo ! We were NOT offered any other models to choose from and since we are in our upper eighties , we certainly not have chosen on with all the bells and whistles as this one has. After hearing from family and friends that this price was way over priced, I called two other companies and they stated price would be $850 and another $1150. We called and complained and Luis gave us a rebate on price but still higher than others. Although others have left better reviews, that was definitely not my experience with these guys. One of my springs broke on our garage door, so I had to call around for service. Most companies quoted me anywhere between $600-800 to replace both springs, service door etc. When I called these guys, the gal who took my call (likely working from home, because I could hear a baby in background) quoted me the lowest price, and guaranteed that a technician could come to my house the next morning. I asked her to confirm the price and what all would be included. She emphatically confirmed it. The next morning, a very friendly and respectful young man came to our house, examined the door, and after I declined a few extra "recommended" services, he gave me a quote for literally double what I was quoted the day before. This was significantly higher than quotes from several other companies and not at all what the gal quoted me the day before. I asked him to talk to supervisor, who said they couldn't do anything about reducing price. I asked if I could talk to supervisor or manager, but they were unavailable and was told I'd receive a call back. Never happened!! So... I can't speak to the qualify of their actual door service, but their customer service is deceptive and they chose NOT to make it right. Management should be embarrassed! After consulting with the boss, which she pointed out the importance of a safe installation, of a major security feature of the house was our priority, we opted to get all the recommendations done. Sheridan completed all the work within the hour, made sure I understood my invoice and how completing all the work would save us money in the long run. He showed me all the parts he replaced and we tested the garage door before he left. He didn't leave a mess and was respectful of our house and all the COVID / Social distancing protocols while working. Sheridan Ramos was my technician. He evaluated my existing door situation which involved a broken spring and unravelled cables. He pointed out that whoever did my previous install should have installed 2 springs and not one. That is probably why it snapped due to having one spring support the heavy door. He also said the benefit of 2 springs is the motor does not have to work as hard and that if one goes, I still have one for a back up which will hold the cables in place. He also noted my rollers which he showed me had bad bearings and to replace them. He was here for an hour and a half approximately. After all was done. The garage door opening and closing sounded much quieter and a lot smoother. read more

Not worthy. I have asked for a garage door brand that I wanted for my home. When the installer arrived, there were still wrap in plastic and parts are new inside the box. After installation, I noticed on the garage door label the door was NOT the brand I wanted. I called to be replaced but it ended in harsh tone and I should have sued this business if wasn't for the brand garage door customer service and follow through the issues I had with the door and took care of me. This is what you call a business who writes order and submit to the manufacturer but send you a different order with no brand attach (mislabeled) so that you can sign it to begin the installation. The catch to the order is pay the cost for a more upscale brand in exchange for a less new startup garage door brand. read more

My ancient garage door opener mysteriously stopped working one day last week. I was able to quickly arrange a diagnostic visit by Al the next day. When Al arrived it was suddenly working again (Murphy's law) but he was very understanding and totally great to work with. Technician was courteous and gave us plenty of time to work through the estimate and make sure we were comfortable with it before taking the plunge. They do a good job and now the door is quieter than before (and works again). I wish the labor and parts were broken apart separately in the quote but it's all mixed up together (each part has labor included so parts are itemized but you don't know how much labor is on its own but based on pricing matching parts it's a lot, but I checked quotes from other companies and labor prices are competitive. So specifically I wish labor was broken out from parts but do think labor costs were reasonable). read more

last year precision installed a new door opener. called this year for other issues with door. tech tells me they did not install my opener because they do not install diy products. I guess the check I made out to precision door that got cashed by the corporation did not happen according to them. the tech gave me an est of over $2000.00 to replace bearings etc. I laughed. I thought they were a good company but I was wrong. not only do I not recommend them but I recommend running away. p.s. corporate called me and continued to claim the did not do the work... if that is the case than they have questionable employees. Initially, I had Precision install a new garage door and all new parts in late November 2020. I was very happy with the whole experience. Fast forward to October 2023 and I started having problems with my garage door not shutting. Finally one day, my door would not shut so I called Precision back. They came same day which was great but the technician said that I needed a new coil and new wheels and new this and new that. The door and parts were not even 3 years old yet! It was late in the day and I needed the door shut so I had them do the work. The repair costed MORE than it did to install the door!! Door install was $1808. Repair to door was $1872. I felt so incredibly ripped off. I reached out to two friends out of state that do this work and they said that I totally got ripped off. Very sad since my initial experience was so great.
