We have had a very very loud electronic garage door and so we called to have a person come out and give us their opinion of it. Ed arrived bright and early within the time they specified and assessed our motor and the track it runs on. He let us know that they type of garage door we had was not intended for cold weather which is one of the reasons it was so loud. He showed my husband how to lube the track up so we could reduce the loudness in the future. He also let know we could purchase a new motor/track etc and how much that would be if we wanted to go that route. I like that they were honest with us and showed us how we can maintain what we already have instead of immediately trying to 'sell' us on something expensive. I called these guys April 4th 20234. as my garage door did not open. Next day tech showed up. He told me springs are bad. I paid 598 dollars for spring and some other parts. Technician left and I tried to open the door it did not open. Now they are telling me door opener is required. It will cost another 1000 dollars. I was never shown an estimate of dodo requiring change of springs and door opener for 1600 dollars as these guys show on their website. My doors are 20 years old. If I knew its going to be 1600 dollars for repair. I would have a new door installed. One of their manage was nice to call yesterday. I told him I would have paid your visit fee if I knew both opener and spring required and it would 1600 dollars. Today some other manager called me. He told I was told about door opener as well. My simple question was.. pls provide me a copy that your tech have given about estimates prior to starting of the work. Be careful before you call them.. Had a terrible experience with Precision Door. Was told both garage doors needed to be replaced for $2,240. We then called Overhead Door who repaired the door for $310. We were not giving even the option of repairing by Precision, who were trying to up sale us for the tune of $1900. I called to ask for a refund of my service charge of $110 and got no response, the I wrote a letter to Mr. Lecours asking for a refund - still no response. This is an appalling business practice. read more

I got same day service (without requesting it) and my automatic door opened was repaired in about an hour at a reasonable price. In fact, I had another firm look at the problem earlier and they told me my internal circuit board was shot and that I needed a new unit. Precision also said the circuit board was shot - BUT they had an external device that plugged into my existing unit that came with a remote and I was back in business for $100+ less than the prior firm. I had a problem with my Garage Door Opener on Friday and they gave me an appointment for Saturday between 1-3. At 4pm I called them back to get a status and they had no idea. They told me that they would call me back. 15 minutes later, they called me back and told me that the Tech was at the hospital. They told me that they didn't work on Sundays so they rescheduled me for 1-3pm on Monday so they repaired it then. 10 days after the repair, the Garage Door Opener broke again. This was Friday at approx. 4pm. They told us that the earliest day they had was Tuesday afternoon. There was an option of Saturday evening but that was considered an emergency fix and had a $250.00 service call fee. They had to get a managers approval to wave the $250.00 service call fee. It was 1:00pm on Saturday and we still hadn't heard from them when we get a call from a tech asking if he can up now(1:30pm Saturday afternoon) which I said sure. This was a different tech and once he opened up the unit, I could see a white plastic gear was shredded. He repaired it for free because the initial repair came with a 30 Day warranty. But now I only have 18 days left on my warranty. read more
