It's a huge shame because I had used them before to fix brick work after a tree had hit a building. that time they asked for cash and I gave it but they gave me detailed invoices right away. I was pleased with the quality of work and had previously recommended them to other people. It is unfair to a paying customer not to provide the estimates and invoices for such large amounts. I needed this for my taxes. Hopefully I'll be able to amend this review at some point if they ever provide the invoices.

He asked for cash, we paid him, he never returned to correct the problem. Low class, poor business acumen and arrogant. Should not have a license to work in the construction industry.

First off, the price was a FRACTION of what the first company quoted, but more than that David really took in a genuine interest in discussing all the options with my father so that my father was comfortable knowing he was getting exactly what he wanted. The other company took a more cookie cutter approach and was more interested in seeing dollar signs than customer satisfaction.. Due to Covid, supply was interrupted so the new window couldn't be installed when initially scheduled. That had nothing to do with J&D but David still gave my father a discount due to the inconvenience. Completely unnecessary but most appreciated and just a classy move on his part. I called Jim, he showed up at my house, examined each window and found about 2/3 of them had their seals compromised and blown out and that's why my windows were turning colors yellow and orange. It was terrible! Well, he came in with a price of about 5k and he replaced every screen on the house, sliding door screen included! When the replacement windows came in (each one was ordered to exact size and spec), his installation team came, headed by his son. It was unbelievable watching them work! Like surgeons for windows, I swear! My wife and I could not believe the total difference in just seeing out our windows and nevermind the brand new re-screening of everything. I recently purchased a used glass display cabinet off of Craigslist. It had warped, dirty and…read moredisgusting plywood shelves. As part of the rehabilitation of the case I purchased new glass shelves from this company. They were very friendly to work with over the phone, and when I arrived in person they were even more helpful. The purpose of my display case is to store model trains, and they had a staff member who was familiar with this hobby so we chatted about that for a while. The two glass shelves were quoted a reasonable price, and they were ready to pick up within a day or two. When I got them home, however, the didn't fit. I had ordered them based on the dimensions of the warped plywood, and they were about 1/16" too long. After talking with them on the phone about it, they offered to cut them shorter (and didn't even charge me despite me offering to pay them for this additional work). Again, they were done within a day or two. The only downside that I can think of is their hours: M-F from 8-4:30. That is fine if you work or live near there, but I had to go on my lunch breaks and that was a bit of a hassle. They are surrounded by chain link fences and gates so easy after-hours drop offs or pick-ups aren't an option.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends & family and I will absolutely be calling them again if we ever need more repairs! We hired Blue Bird Roofing (formerly known as Kornerstone Roofing) after our neighbor's tree fell on our house. The tree damaged our upper roof and caused extensive structural damage to our back porch, so we knew we needed a roofing company that could repair more than just our damaged shingles. After calling several local roofing companies I was feeling a little overwhelmed - some wanted to just repair the shingles and subcontract the needed structural repairs, others tried to upsell me on features I wasn't looking for, and others told me they weren't willing to work with the insurance company on our behalf to get the needed repairs covered. Finally, I called Blue Bird Roofing and I am so glad I did!!! The owner came out the next day and did a thorough inspection of the damages, both on the interior and exterior of my home, with pictures to show me where repairs were needed. Even though there was snow & ice on our roof he didn't hesitate to get up there and look around, and when he found damaged shingles on our 2nd story roof causing a leak into our attic he sent someone the next day to chisel away the ice to patch our roof so we wouldn't get any more water damage up there. He was confident his company could make the structural repairs we needed and was willing to take over communication with my insurance company to get our claim paid, so I didn't even need to talk to the insurance anymore which was a big relief! After waiting months for the insurance to approve our claim they finally did and the owner of Blue Bird Roofing was able to pursuade them to cover the cost of all the damages which was amazing! The Blue Bird Roofing team got to work right away on making the needed repairs. They put a new roof on our porch, repaired damaged rafters and beams, fixed cracked and water damaged trim, repaired torn screens, replaced a piece of damaged aluminum siding on our house, installed new gutters and guards, installed new siding, really they did everything that needed to be done so our porch looked exactly like it did before the tree fell. The Blue Bird Roofing team worked all day and came back the following evening to do more repairs. The owner even spent several hours on a rainy Saturday doing detailed repairs inside our porch because he wanted everything to look perfect. Not to mention the repairs we needed for our 2nd story roof - new shingles, new gutters and guards, opening a ridge vent that had never been cut to ensure our roof had better ventilation, new flashing around our chimneys, new trim - new everything. He even installed missing cross beams in our attic (at my request) so our house could have more structural support under the roof. Honestly our roof has never been more sturdy and has never looked better! If you are looking to update or repair your roof then look no further, you won't regret hiring the Blue Bird Roofing team!
