I thought I was golden. By about mile 30, I realized that I only had about 20 miles of gas left?!? So, I basically stressed for about 20-30miles. I drove as economical as I could. I was driving in the Never Never Land. I was in the middle of no where. The No Man's Land. Cloaked in dark and economy, I drove as fuel efficiently as I could. By the time I rolled past Moxee, I hid my moxie to save any bit of fuel I could. As my gas tank showed complete emptiness, there it was. The light of East Valley Market. This is the first gas station one crosses when heading toward Yakima from the west on SR24 (http://www.yelp.com/biz/sr-24-the-yakima-short-cut-northeast-yakima#hrid:0cBPLt94dhrNoTr7fZlaBA). I glided into the gas island on a fumes. A funny things is that I saw a person walking around here with a gas can. He came up to me, and asked if he could pay me $4 to fill up his can. I did. He was also on empty, but he only had cash, and the gas station was closed up for the night. So yes, this little station can be a petroleum salvation.

The bakery (panaderias) here has all the classics like concha, empanadas, piggies, bolillos, etc. The hot food section has a variety of tasty looking meats stewing away, such as barbacoa, carnitas, chicken, nopales. They also serve hot tamales, sopes, enchiladas, burritos, Chile relleni, taquitos, soups, shrimp cebicbe, salsas, champurrado and more! Their plate and family meals are a crazy good deal. Admittedly, the hit food left something to be desired but for the price and service, can't really complain. (The tamale I got was a bit dry and needed a but more flavor, but it was toward evening and each tamale was hefty for $2 a piece. Rice and beans hit the spot.) I was on a trip to see family and had to stop in to buy a car charger for my phone. Due to covid 19 when I got there it was confusing which door to go in. When I went in the wrong door I was asked if I work there? I said "no" and apologized. Seemed rude but partly just confusing. When I entered the store I couldn't help but notice that the store seemed a bit dingy, more so than other Walmart. Sorry just being honest haha. As for the customer service I received i can say that it wasn't the greatest but my mission was to get in and get out anyways. I never had to ask about where to find the item I needed. The cashier was the only real employee interaction that I had. She definitely didn't seem like she wanted to be there but then again who would? When I walked back out of the store another embarrassing interaction happened with an employee. Guess I was going out a wrong door again which just confused me.
