He then gave her an impromptu lesson in setup to correct her left sided misses, and then that was it. He could have just adjusted the lies just to make a sale but he didn't. He wasn't even going to charge for the consultation and simulator use, but we were so appreciative of his honesty and the time he spent with us that we gave him some cash anyway. The salesperson Hong has always been helpful. They have a bay to try out clubs but no launch monitor. They offer a good selection of clubs and gear for a small local shop. I didn't want to get fitted without first hiring a coach to help with my grip, swing, etc. (A bad swing with good clubs didn't make sense to me) I took lessons and then scheduled a full bag fitting at Club Champion. I met, master fitter, Jacob Alvarado, and I'm glad I did. He was consultative, knowledgeable, and patient and explained the data in a digestible way. He wasn't pushy when making recommendations, truly loved the data as much as me, and we realized that my existing irons needed nothing more than a loft and lie adjustment. I hit multiple combinations of drivers and fairway woods, and my existing clubs, according to the data, were just fine as well. The putter and wedge fitting was fun, and I ended up investing in a new putter and two wedges. Overall, it was a fun consultative and non pushy golf experience, and I highly recommend booking time with Jacob.
