I have been with Dr Borshch for over 10 years. I did move to a different state for about 2 years. I had treatment in the new state, but it didn't compare to the treatment that I received from Dr Borshch. Dr Borshch cares about how you are. If you take Narcotics you do have to take a urinalysis. When they need you to take then you take it. They have to make sure everybody is doing what they need to do. They have guidelines to follow as well. I Love the PA, NP, and Dr's. They are patient, and kind. I have only had one bed encounter at the practice, but it was taken care of right away. I was going to Lockhill Selma, but so happy they have one on Culebra now. You know everyone smiles even Dr B One last thing. Offices sometimes are short staffed. Remember it's not their fault. Just put yourself in their shoes. After over 8 years of being treated by Dr. Yurii Borsch, my relationship ended w/ him yesterday 5/6/24. The reason is that they say I failed my ua twice for tramadol. To my knowledge, I have NEVER been warned of tram in my system before. The latter is most recent in April I had a severe migraine & thought I was taking toradol. Completely & totally my mistake, and a one time thing. The prior incident they claim, did not happen. I also want to mention I have not seen the dr in over 2 -2.5 years. Meaning, in the past 2-2.5 yrs he has not spoken to me or been in the same room. My official DX is PsA, spondylitis, degenerative disc , fibromyalgia, hashimoto, in addition to several spinal abnormalities, dystonia, and seizure disorder. There is also evidence of MS that the Pa Emily was trying to help me get the proper dx. I am 100% disabled because of these issues & the chronic pain associated. The past 8 yrs I've been treated with opioids, muscle relaxers, etc. In addition, the REQUIRED nerve ablations and/or trigger point injections that had MINIMAL help. However, the office & Dr is not shy to tell you they are required to do if you need pain medicine. My point being I've been on opioids the entire time with Dr Borsch, and yesterday the physician assistant informed me he will not be prescribing to me anymore. COLD TURKEY! When, approx 4 months ago the PA Emily discussed w/ me that she could prescribe fentanyl, to which I declined. How does one dr go from thinking you need stronger pain meds to making you go cold turkey? I read Dr Borsch's prior reviews from approx 2010 saying how compassionate he is. What a bunch of BS! My diagnosis dictates pain meds are required, and produces SEVERE pain that is chronic. Compassionate would mean he took the tramadol incident from the standpoint that he knows I suffer from migraines, and the overall need for pain mgmt vs failing a single , or even 2, in an 8 year time frame for legitimate reasons does not support dropping me to literally suffer without pain meds. Long story short, if you are wanting an actual compassionate doctor that takes time to speak with you every so often and discuss any rising issues then go elsewhere. Neither Dr Borsch, his new PA Izzy, or the office staff have any ounce of compassion. Hope this helps you make a decision on who you go to for pain management. Steer clear of this doctor! read more

I met Dr Borshch once during initial visit. Very kind person. Never saw or heard from him again. I asked for several follow-up visits with him, left 4-5 phone msgs for him, wrote him a letter with questions just for him. Sent text msgs thru their online clinic message system. He NEVER spoke to me or agreed to a followup appointment with him. His office staff would reply to most of my requests to Dr. Borshch, but were not able/willing to get Dr. Borshch to meet/talk with me directly. ************** I could only see a NP/PA after an ineffective spine injection--I declined any further injections as they had not helped me in my previous 18 years of chronic back pain. I relied on medicine to modulate my pain level so I could perform day-to-day activities. ************** Observation: Medicare stated my ONE injection procedure cost nearly $4K billed by the doctor. If your patient does not respond to surgical procedures, and he/she has to rely on medicine, is it more cost effective to send that patient off to a PA/NP, allowing you (the doctor) to continue surgery? ************** During the COVID Plague, I received my medicine on a sometimes unreliable refill response schedule, After several months of COVID, he abandoned my treatment w/o explanation (I was in quarantine out of state). A clinic clerk did call me, only to say Dr B would no longer prescribe any medicine. Dr. B would still would NOT speak with me and the clerk hung up on me while I asked for more information..."I have to go." she rudely interrupted....click. ************** Many of his med staff are very polite and professional. Others are curt, aggressive, and seem overburdened with work. 2 staff members suggested that I seek treatment elsewhere. Often, when trying to leave a phone msg, the line will ring and the phone gets picked up and immediately hung up. I've called 4 times in a row after being disconnected, with the same result. ************ Experience has shown me that many pain clinics (some with multiple locations) have a: - small support staff, - high PA/NP-to-doctor ratio, - high patient volume This can atmosphere of bad energy in the clinic waiting room, treatment areas, and in the staff offices. How do clinic personnel and patients seeking relief interact long term? Anger, frustration, desperation, rudeness, panic, sadness...a toxic mix of emotions that surely take a toll on everyone involved with a pain clinic. Perhaps this is an area of humanity and medicine where the mentality of those in CHRONIC PAIN (suffering) are not fully understood by those who have not experienced life damaging CHRONIC PAIN similar to those they treat; nor the pressures of treating PAIN by the Clinic Staff are understood by the patients themselves. *********** I want to believe there are some clinics which can prevail and predominate with good energy. read more

I have been going to Dr Borschsh for years without problems. now they don't seem to care about my pain. I have tried to explain over and over that, for example, May 1st to June 1st is not 30 days but 31 days. They will not allow you to get your pain medication until June 1st. That means I do not have any medication from the night before May 30th until June 1st! my pain doesn't occur during 9 to 5. They will not listen to reason and then the staff get defensive when I try to explain. read more

Dr. Borshch and his front desk receptionist are not very professional at all. This come from 2 people with a combined 20 years ER experience. First, he ordered an MRI and failed to consider if the patient is clusterphobic or not. Second, their website states they treat fibromyalgia, but Dr. Borshch stated during our one and only visit that their office does not treat fibromyalgia. I am confused do you or don't you treat patients with fibromyalgia? I can understand if his office is overwhelmed with fibromyalgia patients and has to refer outside his office. Thirdly, he told us that 5 previous doctors that has since retired and were treating my wife were wrong and that she did not have fibromyalgia, but when we were referred outside their office the other office his office referred us too also stated they do not treat fibromyalgia. read more

I was Dr. Fom's patient for several years. When he retired, he left me to be treated by Dr. Borsch. I never saw Dr. Borsch during the seven months I was under his care. I never met his PA either. She called me a couple of times and we talked for all of three minutes. She basically asked if there were any changes in my pain. But during this time I was ordered to come in to pee in the cup nine times. This was once a month plus one at the beginning plus one surprise call late one night ordering me to report the next morning for a surprise urine sample they claim the government required them to get. I had just given them a sample three days prior to this. Dr. Borsch called me that night and admitted to me that the federal government had not made any such requirement and said that the ladies at the office don't really know what is going on and they sometimes "think" things are real and true when in fact they are not. I decided at that point to find a new doctor with a staff that doesn't make things up like this. read more
