I took my Volvo XC-90 in for some minor work. They had to order the part, which would take several hours to arrive. John, one of the mechanics, was kind enough to drive me home instead of having to wait in their shop and then pick me up when the work was finished. We live in OS and unfortunately I have to agree with the prior 1 star review by Allen that this is a "scam shop." I experienced a scary high level of dishonesty recently from multiple employees while getting my truck serviced and it was also in worse condition afterwards. Caution to anyone that has done business with Precision Auto Tune in OS. It is located just in front of the Ace Hardware store close to Dynasty Buffet and UPS Store. First I would like to say that for what it's worth the General Manager David did address my issue promptly and without issue. But the issue that was caused to me and my fiancé was very serious and could have resulted in a very serious accident to us or anyone else on the road. On Monday I arrived at this location to get an oil change and tire rotation. In my conversations with David while my car was being serviced he mentioned that the location had only been in business for 6 weeks. My car was serviced promptly and professionally. So I thought. It was only the next day I realized I had a serious problem. As my fiancé and I left my home I noticed a very startling rattle sound coming from the front of my vehicle. We were on Ocean Springs Rd at this time going about 45 miles per hour. I pulled over and looked over the front end of my car but didn't notice any issue. I did notice however when looking under the vehicle that my skid plate was severely bent as if when it was removed to do my oil change the day before that it's removal was attempted with one fastener still attached. But that wasn't what was causing the issue to my front end. I made the decision to return home and further inspect. As soon as we exited the vehicle my fiancé immediately noticed that 3 lug nuts from the front passenger tire were missing and that a forth was about 3/4 the way off. She was able to turn it with her fingers. Only one lug nut was fastened and tight holding my wheel on. I contacted the store and David sent his assistant manager Brice and the tire tech that did the work on my car to my home to fix the issue. Now I've worked at tire shops in the past. The biggest reason for "wheel offs" at tire shops is due to not torquing the lug nuts to spec when the wheel is re-mounted. They arrived within an hour with new lug nuts and a torque wrench to torque all wheels at my request. When I asked them how this happened they explained to me that they had mentioned to the owner several times that they needed a torque wrench but that the owner prevented them from purchasing one due to expense. Per mine and David's conversation on the phone he actually stated to me that he sent them to Harbor Freight to purchase a Torque wrench to fix my problem. So I believe what they told me. Here's the issue for me. Although David and his staff did an excellent job taking responsibility and ownership of fixing the problem, it is clear to me that the owner is cutting some very serious corners to be cheap to the point that it could get someone or many people killed! I can only imagine at this point what other corners are being cut to ace a buck and I have no choice but to recommend everyone stay away from this shop! If you've done business with this shop recently you might want to have your vehicle checked over before getting back on the road. read more

Precision Tune Auto Care - Lug nuts missing. - Tires Near Me - Ocean Springs, Mississippi

The wife and I were in town from New Orleans. Got in the car this morning and it started making the trademark power steering 'whine' on turns. Pop the hood, fluid reservoir empty and a leak on the hose. Yay! Feverishly look for a place close, open and good reviews. Drove to these fellas and they are great! Confirmed the hose problem and advised getting a hose from right across the street at one of the parts stores, bring it back over and they could fix it up. Did just that. They were done in about 1hr, 1.5hr at a reasonable price! Saved our short trip from becoming a quick mess! Can't thank Dave and the guys enough! If we ever have an automotive problem while visiting the area again, we will go back here! read more
