I cannot brag on this business enough!! My car broke down and I had it towed to this shop to have a diagnostic check ran on it. They informed me that it was a transmission issue and although they don't work on transmissions, they chose not to charge me for the diagnostic and they gave me recommendations on where to take it. I also struggled to find a tow company so they let me keep my car there until I was able to find somebody. Absolutely love the hospitality! read more

Had an 8am appointment for an oil change and to check my brakes. The guy at the front desk seemed friendly, and the manager took time to explain to my husband some details about changing the brakes, brake pads, etc. The prices didn't seem too unreasonable - $30 for an oil change, a couple hundred to replace my brakes. There are a decent number of seats in the waiting area, as well as free coffee. I don't know much about cars, but it took around 2.5 hours for everything, which seemed to be a little long in my opinion, since I had one of the earliest appointment slots of the morning. The manager at the Broadway & 33rd location, Michael, is always friendly, very knowledgable, has great customer service etiquette, is professional, and my oil change is usually done within 45 minutes. He tells me what is wrong with my car, how much it will cost in writing, and whether or not it's urgent to get done. The prices have definitely increased over the last couple of years and they are no longer open on the weekends, but they are still usually cheaper or the same price as other oil change places. read more

USED to go here every 3000 miles for an oil change.....went in for AC diagnostic and waled out with an EIGHTEEN HUNDRED DOLLAR ESTIMATE.......went to another shop on here I have reviewed, and to REPLACE the condenser, which only had a bearing out but I went ahead and bought a new compressor........labor was 240 plus the compressor.....way less, and I went in twice to doublecheck the estimate.... Never will go back to them for anything at all. Whether it was a new "kid" or what, he skipped the diagnosis and went straight to replacing the whole system! Went in to have them figure out what was wrong with my AC. They told me my compressor was out and needed 4 different things replaced for a total of $1500. Turns out it wasn't the compressor at all, it was the clutch. A piece I got on amazing of $50! Don't trust these guys. My uncle looked at my car and instantly knew it wasn't the compressor. This shop has been my go-to oil change place for 4 years. Brent and his team were personable and professional. New manager and a totally different place now. My last oil change in April was $34, up from $29. Today it was $45!!! $11 more? Poor people skills and steady increases amounts to gouging. The new manager is an accomplished liar. I have listened to his customer interactions on 3 visits there now. People do business with those who they like and trust.Also, they decided to be closed on Saturdays... when everyone is off work to get automotive needs handled. I love how #precisiontune gets you in and out. I saved $3 from the yelp coupon once I checked in. I also had a mail in coupon for $19 wiper blades. I did price them at AutoZone but why make another trip when they can do the oil change, top my fluids and check my tire pressure and change my blades all in one stop?. They also have free wifi. I needed to charge my phone and found it convenient that there was a free charging station. Unfortunately that excitement was short lived because it didn't charge my phone. I've been before and been frustrated by service times. Went again this week with few patrons in the waiting room. They were fast, efficient, and kind. Cokes and coffee to your hearts content. Maybe their big issue is that once they don't have enough workers to get through the job in a reasonable time, they understate their wait times to customers to make them stay. Get this figured out guys and you will become my go to shop. So, for now... just don't go when there are a lot of cars in the parking lot. read more

These folks need to pay more attention to detail. They have stripped the threads in my oil pan, overtightened the lugs on my wheels, and overfilled the oil in my wife's car by two quarts. I still havent figured out what they put in my radiator on the last flush. This isnt like the Precision Auto that I once knew. read more

I went and got a diagnostic check, paid 91 bucks, told me camshaft sensor they couldnt tell me which front or back gave me a Estimate Only to do my car 498.77 of course I left, went down the street went to May avenue Service center and Radiator on 7701 North May spoke with Wes at 7701 May Ave he was able to do a look and tell me which one was I paid for sensor sensor and labor total 200.00, a lso they said their diagnostic test is under 70.00.. read more

I went in today over my lunch break for a quick oil change. I called in advance to see how busy they were and how busy they thought they would be over a lunch hour. The guy who answered was polite and let me know that it shouldn't be much of a wait if any if I got there before noon. I got there a little before noon and he was right, no wait. They got my car right in. The guy who took my keys told me it would be about 20 minutes, it was more in the 30-40 minute range, but I have no complaints b/c things got busier and some people who had dropped cars off came in to pick up and they apparently needed some explanations, no problem. However, while I was there a girl came in with an issue and a warning light on her car. I heard her ask the guy at the desk if they could check what the light meant and they told her to check out the light would be $75. She specifically asked if there were any other options and they told her NO. This is where I had to say something. I let her know she could run to an autozone, o'reilly's or some other place like that (there also happens to be one maybe a block south in the same parking lot as Sprouts) and they could check the light for free. I was then cut off by someone sitting in the back who I hadn't seen in the entire 20 mins I'd been there (manager, maybe??) who let us know that a shop like that can't really tell her what the issue is. There was a bit of a back and forth between this gentleman and myself that I won't go into. But long story short, I will not be going back. I don't have an issue with the way this gentleman spoke to me, but I do have a problem with them not informing their potential customers and I'm concerned this could be indicative of a larger problem. Update 6 hours later: Just received a call from a manager (not sure if he was the original employee, the interrupting employee or just another employee) at this location (who shall remain nameless). He wanted to discuss the misconception from earlier. I pointed out that I thought they were doing their customers a disservice by not giving them all the info to make an educated decision. He said that I interrupted him and he did not get to finish providing all the info about their diagnostic test. Okay, i can give him that. Again, i can spare the details of the convo, but the convo has given me to courage to go ahead and change my star rating from a 2 to a 1. Several people have given very good reviews for the shop, so I'm hoping I just caught one person on a bad day (we all have them), but I will not be returning. Update the next day: I just received a very polite call from the owner. He apologized for the situation yesterday, thanked me for my review and asked what he could do to keep my service. Bumped it back to 2 stars, but I will not be returning. And now that I have officially written the longest, most bi-polar review ever I am calling it quits, I mean it. read more

I love this Precision Tune location. I've been taking my cars there for oil changes for the past year and have never had a bad experience. The front desk person is always very nice and I've never had to wait more than 45 minutes for an oil change. They are honest and don't try any of that sketchy stuff that I've seen at other places (like the ones that tell EVERY customer their air filter needs changed just so they can tack on an extra $15 charge). My wife took our SUV that is less than a year old in for an oil change.Service is fast,But they stripped my oil pan drain bolt. The Lube Techs dont even have any tools to speak of. But most of all, They left greasy,oily hand prints all over the doors and steering wheel getting in and out and trying to sell me an air filter.Not going back as I'm going to Valvoline.At least their oil comes from a quart bottle not a 55 gallon barrel that you dont know whats in it for sure.SUCKS! read more
