Was able to get all four tires of my Prius replaced, the sensors fixed and changed out and everything rebalanced for a good and reasonable price. Buyer beware!!!!! Old people beware!!!! Free tire repair is just a way to take your money and lie to you. Had a nail in the tread of my tire not the side wall. Tried to plug it so that I could get it patched. Was mansplained "they couldn't fix the tire due to missing the hole with the plug so I had to buy a new tire" this was news to me being an actual mechanic. Let me just start off by saying I was blown away with the customer service! Dave, the gentleman at the counter came out and visited with me and was Super nice. Both of my rear tires seem to have had a slow leak and so he took them and told me he'd have it ready here shortly. Shortly hardly covered it. They had me in and out in under 20 minutes. Chris, the gentleman that did the work came in told me that they found a screw in one tire and the other tire was just low. He informed me that they filled and checked all the tires for me. Again, super nice fellow! I went to the counter and he said no charge; just come see me the next time!!! I began yesterday at Discount Tire, as I'd somehow picked up a nail in the sidewall of my right rear tire. Randy said it was right on the line of being fixable vs. getting a new tire so I knew the customer would be getting a new tire. What I did not expect was a report that said I also needed a left rear tire due to low tread. They honored their road damage promise and replaced my nail-damaged tire for "free" (albeit customer pays $35/tire for some sort of mandatory "certificate of refund", state tire fee, and installation charges). They also charged me for the new left rear tire. Last night, however, it occurred to me that I bought the old tires in 2019, so there was no way they had 80,000 miles on them. I also wondered why Bob Howard gave all four tires a clean bill of health when they checked my car before I drove it to Madison, Wisconsin. This morning, I checked the receipt for my old tires and sure enough, I only got 23,176 miles on the two that were replaced. Consequently, I called Discount Tire on Penn and Memorial and chatted with Ryan, the assistant manager. "Shouldn't the other tire have been under warranty since it failed after only 23k miles? Shouldn't your guy have noticed the low mileage since I always get my tires at Discount Tire?" Ryan pushed back enough that I told him I'd need to be put in touch with corporate. Then he told me to come in and he'd take care of me. (That location is 20ish minutes away so I wasn't happy but there I went.) When I arrived, Ryan told me that he was reversing all the charges! He said he was sorry for my trouble as he handed me the new receipt. I froze for a second as I had been all ready to debate the validity of the warranty. Instead, I stuck out my hand and said "Are you sure? THANKS! Well, I'd kiss you if it weren't for this mask!" I came home to read a little about Discount Tire. It is privately held but was started in the early 1960's by the late Bruce Halle, an all-around-nice guy. To this day, the company strives to uphold the high standards of customer service that Mr. Halle expected from his employees. #DiscountTire gobsmacked me today with a $292.00 refund so I'm playing it forward and happy to give them the shout-out they deserve! read more

After I left Discount Tire and after 3 minutes of driving I checked my tire pressure on my car. Driver front read 77 PSI, Passenger front read 37 PSI, rear driver read 33 PSI, and Rear Passenger read 36 PSI. I thought the car read it wrong (2018 Silver Hyundai Elantra). When I checked manually my front driver side was really 77 PSI!!!! The max recommended on my tire is 51 PSI! That is dangerous! How can you NOT CHECK YOUR EMPLOYEE"S WORK?!! I mean, you have ONE job at a tire store when mounting tires and you failed. In the past Discount Tire has done excellent work so I will come back, but this last visit I was not happy. I will update the review to 5 stars in the future assuming they get it done correctly again next time. read more

Yesterday, I made an appointment at the Discount Tire on May/NW Expressway at 5pm to finally get it fixed. I go in and let them know my front driver side tire has a slow leak from a nail (as diagnosed by Discount Tire on Memorial, I just couldn't get in for an appt) and they pull it into the bay. After about 15 minutes, a tech comes out and tells me my tires has run-flat damage and can't be repaired and that they aren't allowed to put the tire back on--I'll have to buy a new one right then. He tells me it's because I've been driving around with a flat. I remind him that my PSI has never gotten below 28 and I've been making sure to check it every day. He says he'll go take another look. Another 15 minutes goes by, and he's back. He says he got my tired confused with a tire from a Chevy 1500 with run flat damage, but that my tire still has a stress crack--and also, he said he'd found a patch from a previous repair and they could not repair a tire that had already been repaired. I let him know how odd it was that were would be a patch on tire from a brand new set on a vehicle I had just bought in October, from a dealership I worked for, no less. At this point, I tell him I think there is some shady business happening and I need a manager. The manager comes tells me everything the tech had already told me. I tell him there's no way there's run flat damage, there's no way there's a stress crack, there's no way there's a patch, and they have missed the damn nail causing the problem 3 separate times now and he goes to check it personally. He finds the nail immediately and says they will fix it it should be ready in a few minutes. But wait, there's more. The manager returns and tells me, after repairing the nail hole, that my tire is still showing a leak when submerged in water. He tells me my chrome wheel is likely bent and the tire seal is broken. I go look for myself--and sure enough, there's a tiny stream of bubbles coming up from where my rim connects to my tire. But--I remembered the Discount Tire on Memorial telling me about how the chrome wheels peel on Escalades and Tahoes and that I'd probably need part of the wheel resurfaced a little eventually--and the manager says they will do it, but that I should really be prepared to buy new wheels and tires ASAP. An hour has passed. My 5pm flat tire appointment has now crept into 6pm and there's still no tire on my Escalade. I watch the manager and 2 techs talk finally taking apart my wheel and tire and then resurfacing and buffing my wheel... then put it all back together and check it for a leak again. The tech then tells me there is still a slow, very slow, leak, but nothing to be too concerned about. They finally get my tire back on and hand me my keys, and a tech comes over to give me some paperwork. He tells me once I'm ready to get wheels and tires, to make sure I come see them to order a new set. Man, I wouldn't take a set of brand new wheels and tires from Discount Tire on May/NW Expressway if they were giving them away for free!!! read more

I went in and purchased 3 brand new tires for my vehicle. I had previously bought one from them at a different location, that one was fine so I thought I would replace my other 3. The wait was about 45 mins and they sent me out of the door. I kept hearing loud scraping on my vehicle every time I would turn my wheel or hit a tiny bump in the road. I called this discount tire back and who I spoke with was extremely rude to me and angry. I reached out to a different discount tire and they had me come in. After a short inspection they realized that this discount tire had placed 3 wrong sized tires on my vehicle and over charged me for bigger tires that aren't the correct size for my vehicle (they put into their system that I had a different vehicle than what I did). There's damage to my fender on my vehicle that I have not been reimbursed for. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

I'd planned on buying the absolute cheapest tires I could, but they were able to get me a good deal that only had me paying a couple of bucks more per tire for a much better set than the ones I'd planned on. Had a good experience here during quarantine. They were offering curbside help, so they come out to your car and get you in the line without a bunch of people having to get out and be on top of each other during this time. When they were ready for you you pull your car in and then go wait in the lobby so max were three people in there at a given time with plenty of room to separate from others. Then you pull your own car out which I also liked because others weren't contaminating your personal space. The only downside to this experience was they had to wrench a lug stud off because the lug nut had "seized" and it wouldn't come off otherwise, but they don't offer replacement of the studs there so I had to go to a separate place to get it fixed. Luckily it was only a $40 fix. read more
