Amazing service! I've been coming here since my relocation from New York in November 2016 very apprehensive as car repairs can be very costly. However, they've absolutely changed my mentality in taking the time to explain everything before committing me to getting things repaired beforehand. I've brought all 3 of my cars to this Phenix City location since I moved to Alabama. It's been nearly 10 years and I've not had no issue until recently. I went in last month to get an oil change and my tires rotated and balanced. I left with a tire pressure light on my dash that had not been there before. I took it back and asked for the work order so I could see what had been done to it, because my tire gauge was still reading the same as it had all week (the main reason for me bringing the vehicle in initially). I was told that the work order had no mention of tires rotated and balanced, only an oil change. Had the tire pressure light (that they won't fix) hadn't come on, I'd have paid for services not rendered. This past week, I ended up stranded for hours after work with a flat tire. I had to have it towed to the Phenix City location to get the flat tire taken off since a police office, my husband, pop a lock, and AAA tow could not remove it so that I could put a spare on. Per the owner, I was told to not bring my vehicle back, they would not remove the tire and loosen the other lug nuts that are too tight on any of the remaining tires. I now have to pay for tow, the flat removed and new tire remounted, as well as the remaining tires loosened so that a human stranded in the heat or even a dark road at night would be able to change a damaged tire. I regret the money spent over nearly ten years with this business. I would ask for more than a receipt for work performed on any vehicle taken here, you're lucky if you get what you pay for. read more

When I ask questions they would answer in detail and explain to me. I have had major components done to my car and had quality results every time from control arms and Rack & Pinion to an ENTIRE engine swap and for a steal of a price. Norman's for doing shabby work. I went in to get my breaks inspected bc they where squeaking. Was told I needed new rotors and break pads. I paid $600 to get them fixed. I left and my breaks where still squeaking. I went back on 3 different occasions bc of this. I ended up going to Midas. They showed me my rotors and pads and told me they had not been changed. First time here was worried. I feel like I was over charged for my wheel bearings. My total came out to $600 "out the door price" as she called it,which went down from $664 "10%" labor alone was like $440+. Service was fast. So I took my car in just to have my tires rotated and within minutes, they broke two studs on my rear passenger wheel during the rotation and then never rotated my driver side wheels. I go back today to have it done since I paid for the service to be done and the OWNER argued with me. Mind you, anyone can clearly see the amount of brake dust on my wheels is equal on the front and the rear was less, of course. The passenger side was rotated and driver still the same and today the OWNER decided he wasn't going to finish the job that was paid for. I went here when in town because I thought my brakes were bad. I was hearing some noise. I had to pay over 32.00 for a brake check, because after their inspection I was told I needed new rotors and brake pads. Needed to have my back brakes cleaned and adjusted and all for a little over 400.00. I told them to put everything back together since I could hurt the rotors anymore since they were already shot and could not be resurfaced. When I got back home, I took my car to the dealer to find that the pads will need to be changed before too much longer, but still has plenty of life left. It is only time to watch them and that the rotors can be resurfaced without a problem. Glad I did not agree to their 400.00 bill. I will not recommend, nor will I EVER return to this business again. read more

Jerry Taylor, the owner gave me his number. I called him and told him what had happened. He asked me to take it back to Precision Tune Auto Care and let his technicians look at it. I took my pickup truck in. I was told they couldn't look at it because they had a big job on their hands, but they asked me to bring it in the next day. So I did. Precision Tune quickly got me in, and put my pickup on the lift. They let me watch them the entire time. The technician put the wrench on the drain plug, and it came out just fine. The technician inspected the bolt and said it looked fine. He said it needed a new washer, and he would take care of that. Going above and beyond, Precision Tune gave me a free oil change. Thank you to the the owner, who gave me his number. Cheap oil changes with tire rotations and inspections just not very fast. They try to up sale of course, which is OK on the things you actually need. Took a little over 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation with an engine flush. When they took me into the shop to show me my brakes the tech took me to someone else's car. I had to tell them it was the wrong one. The vehicle was pulling when I left so I stopped to check tire pressure and found they did not check that. Two tires were at under 10 PSI and should have been 30. My tech was friendly but the rest of the staff mumbled at me and the other customers. They seemed not to be really interested in the customer service aspect of the business. read more

All I can say is wow...let me start with the girl at the desk she is so lazy I had to get the sizes on my tires because her fat ass couldnt walk out and do it, thats your job. These people dont know how to work on cars at all. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING TO THIS PLACE TO BE WORKED ON. I went there for a simple tire change and the "manager" is so dumb that he took them off with a crow bar...damaging both wheels. Oh and when he said he was going to fix them he put my spare tire on and put it over a centering ring how do you miss that? lol what an idiot. He said the owner knows and will fix everything but its been 2 months and all I have are 100 text messages and some house paint on my wheels saying they are fixed. Just because he drives some crappy fart can civic that looks like crap and cant afford to have nice things doesnt mean he has the right to damage other peoples things. I might not have gotten all the money I deserved but I got 300 back and Im happy with that...oh and i didnt get it from them i went thru my credit card company :) Some times you really do have to judge people on what they look like so sad really lol. I took my F-150 to Precision Tune for an oil change. While there I was shown oil on the bottom of my rear differential and advised that I had a leaking pinion seal. They gave me an estimate of $300 to replace the seal. I didn't realize. That my truck is kept in a very clean garage that has an epoxy finished floor and there had never had any leaks from my truck. I took my truck to the Ford dealer and paid $220 for pinion seal I didn't need. Precision Tune cost me $220, but at least they didn't get any more of my money. No stars here. Poor service at best. Was told that it would be 15 min. before the car was put on a rack .and it took almost an hour. Sign says 19.90 for an oil change, brought my own oil and filter and they charged me 20.00 anyway (however to be fair I did agree to that price) . Charged sales tax even though there is no sales tax on service work. Watched from the outside of the building and the Tech. put no oil in the filter before installing it. Anyone who knows automotive work knows that you fill the new filter before putting it on the car ( it keeps the bearings from running quite so dry on start up). Asked nicely if the owner had a minute to speak with me and I quote " not really" was his response with a angry look on his face. Before I left I heard him make the comment that he does not understand why someone with a 1993 would whine and complain. My car was the only car that old at the shop and the only 1993 at the shop. I never did whine or complain to anyone as he did not even speak with me at all. And yes, my car is a 1993 model..One of 1500 made world wide, one of only 1000 imported to the USA # 539 on the registry list. A 1993 Mazda Miata MX 5 LE. A very rare car indeed. I will not ever take any of my cars there again and my suggestion to you would be don't take the chance either. What is really amazing to me is that I was a brand new customer and was treated in this manner. read more
