Ed from precision wildlife came out to do an estimate for me. I had something up above my head that sounded like it was banging rocks over and over in the middle of the night. When he asked how long I had lived in the house I burst into tears because I had to separate from my husband just the day before. I explained this and that he had drained our bank account. I thanked him for coming but explained that I couldn't afford to use his services at the time. He set traps anyway and came back a week later. He then arranged for the house to be secured to keep the critters from getting in and get the existing ones out and only charged me for the materials. He didn't have to do this, but he did. I was helped during a time that I was in such a dire situation and this act of kindness reminded me that good does exist. I had a sparrow nest in my bathroom dryer vent. The cottage is on Cape Cod, which is a location that can be tricky for finding someone to make the trip. I called Precision and they responded with a quick appointment. Arrived in time and did a spectacular job removing the nest and putting in a louvered vent AND a cover to keep out any new critters. Ed and his team at Precision are amazing. Over the winter I heard some scratching in my walls - no bid deal I said - maybe a mouse? Ha - nope. One evening I was out on my deck having dinner and to my dismay about 100 bats excited from one of my gutters. I was shocked!! I called in Ed and his team after doing some research and reaching out to several companies. Why did I go with and his team? They were prompt, reasonably priced, knowledgeable and most of all just down to earth. This is a pretty shocking experience - especially when one of them gets into your house (yep, that happened too). Ed calmed us and reassured us every step of the way. One year later - the over 200 bats roosting in my walls (yes over 200!) are gone, none have returned. They even cleaned up our attic for us, it's spotless - no urine or guano smell or mess anywhere. Most importantly - my kids and I can sleep at night. One of the best parts about Ed and his team is that he checks in on me from time to time to make sure everything's ok - such as popping by when I was on a business trip to reassure my wife that there wasn't any bats in the basement. :) - What service does that? They came the day after I called, captured the animals they could, set traps for the others, and repaired the hole that the critters were coming through. Eek, methinks not, is particularly appropriate for this kind of business. Listen. They did the job. But they certainly made it as unpleasant as they possibly could. All started out well. Very friendly, professional guy showed up on time, looked at the situation (horrible, evil squirrels eating their way literally and relentlessly into our home), figured out why our out/no-in door didn't work, and left a trap. So far, 5 stars. After a few days and a few squirrels, he said, "We're done." But I could see that he wasn't done. There were still squirrel tracks. Squirrels were seen by my tenant trying to get through his out/no-in door. So I called and said, "Sorry, can't quit now." And did I get nonsense. "Well, we're professionals and we know that there aren't any squirrels there (not true) and if there are, which there aren't, then they can't be your squirrels, and this is how we do a job and it's too bad, and if you want to talk to the owner, you're welcome to." So I did talk to the owner. And it was the same nonsense. "In our professional opinion, we don't need to drive 20 miles to your place in Cambridge, because we think you're done." So really, their service isn't, "We'll get rid of your horrible, evil squirrels," it's "We'll charge you a lot of money to lay out traps for three days and then we'll declare victory." Don't go for it. So, what did I do? I bought a trap and set it out. And for sure, squirrels were around, since they managed to empty the trap without getting caught, but leaving plenty of tracks in the snow. But, to these guys credit, the squirrels weren't able to get through the aluminum sheeting that my carpenter had put over every attack point, so in fact, in a sense, they were right. The squirrel problem was over. But that was just luck, so far as I can tell, not the "professonal opinion" of some squirrel-catchers. Still, I was willing to relent and maybe not even post this rant, until I got their bill for the balance. (I had to pay $300 up front.) Stamped in big red letters was, Past Due, even though this was the first bill I'd gotten from them. Then, two days later, I got a follow-up call from their Accounts Receivable. Pay up, bub. So it worked. I'll pay them for that. But I won't like it. Not a bit. Not at all. Not ever. read more

This was a not a company I wanted to have to call....but I am certainly glad they exist! I was dealing with a squirrel in my fire place. He was not alive. Gross, I know. Thankfully the team at Precision Wildlife were able to come out quickly and remove it. They also put a new cap on my chimney. The one I had on was obviously not effective. Everyone there has been super helpful and I feel like as problems with animals come up, as they always do, I have a relationship with this company. You definitely get a feel from them that they want to help, as opposed to just doing a job. I worked with Seth and with Ed and I can barely emotionally handle an ant in my house, so clearly I was coming unglued with a dead squirrel in my house!! So grateful for the services that they provide and I give them a gleaming recommendation because of their professionalism and exemplary customer service. I would also give them none or negative if possible. At first I thought the problem was they they do not listen. I told them the problem I had and where I saw signs both inside and outside of my house. But they then said I needed a greater treatment area and treated more, but did not treat where I told them I saw problems. They treated from the outside only and never fully inspected and investigated the problem. They told me they didn't have to come in the house and see where they were, or how they were coming and going. So of course I kept having the problem. So then they come back and tell me I need additional treatment, not covered under the guarantee of the previous weeks work so at additional cost? Really? The second quote for additional work was still done from the exterior only, no looking inside to see how and where things were connected and developing a true comprehensive treatment plan. Seems they just want to get their foot in your door and then make it look like they are making and effort and trying. When all they really want to do is keep you on for cash flow. Keep telling you it is going to take additional treatments and costs. Well of course it is if you didn't properly listen, look and treat in the first place. Well I told them to hit the road and then I hit Home Depot and took care of the problem myself, in one treatment to the effected areas. UPDATE: After posting this review we were contacted by the owner who has agreed to credit our $95 fee at the time we have the service done on our chimney. He has also agreed that while their policy remains the same, folks should be told when an appointment is made that the fee is only applicable on services performed the same day. Because the owner has gone the extra mile to ensure that we are satisfied customers, we've decided to use this service when the swifts have migrated for the winter. *******We have birds in our chimney and wanted to have a professional opinion about how to remove them. Our first shock was the $95 charge to come out to take a look, BUT, we were assured that if we used their service the $95 would be applied to any charges for abatement. Well, the guy arrived to tell us that we have swifts which are protected and can't be removed until post migration.... understandable, but the cap that they would put on for (maybe??) $295 or so (our 'professional' didn't know the exact amount) isn't eligible for application of the $95 fee because he isn't doing the work today. All in all, we wasted our money since the internet already told us a) we had birds b) they are probably chimney swifts and c) that they are protected. Our expectation was that our cost for that confirmation would be recovered at time of service ... What a joke and how can they get away with not making that policy explicit when booking a service call? ???? read more

Bat in the house...lovely...NOT! Got estimates from several companies- These guys were the only ones that brought a ladder and inspected EVERYWHERE. Found 2 colonies in eaves! So definitely most thorough, as well as knowledgeable, capable and professional. Work guaranteed for 3 years. When bats did return the following year (not uncommon), PWS came through, inspected and resealed the area. I highly recommend them! read more

I was driving behind one of their trucks today and what I saw was deplorable. There was a live raccoon in a trap in the back of this cluttered truck bed. But that wasn't the worst part. The cage was sideways. And the driving of the truck driver was atrocious as well. The cage kept sliding around and I could tell that the animal was in distress. I know you are getting rid of pests but to throw an animal in the bed of truck haphazardly is not the way to go about it. I hope people stop using this service. Critter Control of Cape Cod is expensive and in our case they did the minimal work. We had squirrels getting in through one of our attic vents. On one vent insulation was sticking out and they didn't bother to simply push it back in before putting the screen over the vent. In addition the vent was rotten and we weren't advised to replace it, and the screen looked bad afterward as it was sticking up over the vent rather than cut to size. Although the customer service rep was courteous, very little was done to fix the situation. The compromise is that they came back and took the screen off and deducted the $89 cost of the screen, from the total cost of $300 per vent. I had to purchase my own screen, (and new vent), cut it to size and put it up myself. read more

I highly recommend this company and have been meaning to write a review for months. I hired them almost a year ago to stop rats from coming into my walls and ceiling after street repairs drove them in. Other companies (without coming to look at the problem) told me they couldn't help and I'd have to poison them in the walls and pull them out weekly (gross). Precision sent someone out within a day of my call and used a little creative thinking to come up with a plan to stop the rodents from getting in. Every interaction with them was a pleasure. They were always professional, showed up when they said they would and most importantly, solved the rat problem. We were being invaded by some pretty nasty loud starlings in our bathroom vent. Ed returned our call the same day and came as promised! He and his assistant were professional and took the time to explain what they needed to do. After he had removed the nesting I told him that he had made my day!!! We've done business with this company a couple of times now and have nothing but good things to say. Whenever we've called them, which, let's face it, is never for a happy reason, they've been prompt with returning calls, speedy with coming out to the house, and always have arrived on time or early. They solved our bat problem in our attic. We had to call them last year due to "house guests" behind the walls and in the roof space of our addition. As it turns out, the guests either never left or returned again due to the work not being properly done by the tech that had been sent out. This sounds like a bad thing, but when we called again, Steve came right out, told me honestly about the fauly work and fixed it immediately at no cost. While the work had been shoddy on the first pass, I get the fact that sometimes companies have employees that are less than exemplary. But I wouldn't even have known about that if Steve hadn't been honest with me about it. I think that takes a lot of integrity and this is a company we will definitely continue to do business with. read more
