Highly recommend Burgess Pest Management. Their rates and pricing are reasonable and as someone who has backyard chickens, I appreciate their environmentally friendly options for pest management. Burgess helped resolved a termite issue for me back in 2016 and recently came back this year to help manage an ant issue. Scott is great to work with. He is very clear and direct in explaining the plans available and assessing the issue at hand. Today, the maintenance technician manager, Tim, came to my home to set up the liquid bait and outdoor preventative measures. He was personable and professional. I appreciated that Tim was efficient and quick, understanding I had limited time before I had to hustle out of the house to get to the office. I appreciate the quick responsiveness of the office staff in always getting back to me and managing the account I have with them without issue. All around, it seems like this company is lucky to have a really great staff with excellent communication skills! I have been coping with a 'sweet ant' plague all summer. Usually they come and go within a few days but this summer was different. Everyday I had to deal with ants on the countertop, in the sink, in the dishwasher, around the floor, near the dog dish - everywhere in the kitchen area. I'm a fastidious person by nature who cleaned and tried in every possible way to eliminate ant attractions. I had resorted to spraying ants with a soapy detergent which would kill those sprayed but not deter others. As Burgess so accurately explained, my efforts simply pushed the ants to reappear in different locations and did not deter them. After my initial call, their representative Scott came within a couple of days to inspect my kitchen, basement, pantry and to surveyed the entire foundation area. He made several suggestions and options for me to consider. My choices included a one time application with a 90 day guarantee or year round pest control with unlimited call backs. Now here's the deal. Every single person I have spoken with in the office or who came to my home has been courteous, polite and responsive to my questions. How often to you hear that about the trades? Scott's quotes were professionally produced and delivered by email. They fully explained the services to be done and were delivered within hours of his assessment. Chris, the technician who treated my home, was courteous, on-time and answered all my questions about the services he was to administer. Both Scott and Chris were professionally attired in uniform and neat and drove a company vehicle nicely lettered and clean. It does matter to me and gives me assurances that this company is intentional in every aspect of their presentation. I eventually chose the year round pest control because I am a BnB host and I want the assurances of no unwanted pests like spiders, earwigs, ants, etc. This is a premium service offered at reasonable prices and with people that offer excellent customer service. I can't tell you whether this is the lowest price in the market - I wasn't looking for that. I wanted people I could depend on and if that cost me a little more, I'm okay with that. I just got peace of mind for my home and my BnB business. Now no ants. I am relieved. I use Burgess for a yellow jacket problem I was having in my house. They came as a recommendation from my HOA. I sent an email after hours and heard back by early morning that they were able to come that day. They knew the layout of my complex and was able to find the solution in my home very quickly. The technician walked all around my house inside and out and checked with a small flashlight every crevice to make sure the Wasps did not escape somewhere else and I wouldn't have another problem. I bought some mosquito netting to cover the door where they were coming in from. The technician was so kind he took it outside and shook it out so that I could reuse it. We have been using Burgess Pest for over a year and could not be more pleased with them. We had an issue with field mice in the yard and had found one in the basement. We also wanted someone who could do pest control on a recurring basis to include flea and tick control. I contacted Burgess and heard back from them within a couple of hours. They sent someone out within a couple of days which was great. The Tech came out went thru the yard and basement very thoroughly and came up with a recommended plan. The price for the service was very reasonable and we set up the plan we wanted. They are always out when expected and the Techs are very friendly and professional. There are times we have had questions and they take the time to answer so we understand. Recently there have been issues with silver tails in the bathroom. I contacted Burgess and they sent a Tech out right away. He spent time checking everything out and actually caught one of the bugs to take back to be identified. Additionally he sprayed around the foundation to correct the issue. We did find out from the Techs that humidity attracts the bugs and they recommend a solution which we are following up on. I can't say enough good things about the service we receive from Burgess Pest Management both from the Techs and Office Staff. I highly recommend this company for your pest control needs. Terrible customer service. I called on a Friday before a long weekend to remove a hornets next on a shed. They said they'd be there on Tuesday between 11-12. I thought that was a long time to wait but ok I can deal. They also said that I did not have to be home for them to remove the nest. So on Tuesday at 1:30pm I called to see why they hadn't arrived. Now the story changes. They came, tried to call me and because I didn't answer, they left. She said dispite what I was told, they never would perform the work without first confirming a price. Well they should have told me that when I set up the appt - especially since they said I didn't have to be there. Now she can't even quote me a price or come back. She didn't even care. I said "ok so... what? I guess I need to call a different company?" Her response was "okay, bye". I don't even know what to say to that. I was offered no return time, no way to get my problem solved. They forced me to take my business elsewhere. Called "the local guy" and he'll be here this afternoon and WILL remove it. H quoted be $125. DONE. I will never call Burgess again - I'm now a life-long customer of the local guy read more
