I tried several other companies prior to using South Shore Chem-Dry-Dave Swart and it was always the same thing -the carpet looked OK for one day, I couldn't walk on the rugs for 4 hours, the tech was always in a rush to get to the next job and the office smelled of citrus to hide the odor of the chemicals they used. This is not the case with South Shore Chem-Dry. The rugs look GREAT for weeks, I can walk on them in no time and there is no odor! When it's the owner of the company who is cleaning your rug you know it's going to be done right! I just want to thank South Shore Chem-Dry for restoring my couch to it's original soft and cozy self!!!!! I tried cleaning my couch myself and turned it into a soapy mess!!! The fabric became stiff and scratchy - my family was not able to use it at all. I feared that my couch would never be used again. But South Shore Chem-Dry came to the rescue and worked with me to develop a plan to fix the mess I created. I would not have believed it was possible. But possible it was. We had 2 wall to wall rugs (family room and kitchen) that were in need of cleaning. Dave, who is the owner of South Shore Chem Dry, came out yesterday to do the rug cleaning. He was very informative about the process, including the safety of the organic cleaning products used. These cleaning products not only dry very quickly, allowing almost immediate use of the areas cleaned, the citrus smell they impart is great. The rugs now look and smell wonderful. We are SO happy with the service we received from South Shore Chem-Dry. Dave is highly knowledgeable and took plenty of time to explain to me all of our options and the process he would be using. We have a white cotton couch that was quite dingy, the arms were filthy, it had a pet stain, a couple of mystery red stains - we even had gum stuck to one of the cushions. I never thought I would have my beautiful white couch back. But Dave worked miracles and got all of the stains out - even the gum! We've used South Shore Chem Dry in the past, so they were our go-to people when we needed our carpets cleaned. Making the appointment was easy. Dave showed up right on time. I would ONLY recommend South Shore Chem-dry to come and clean my carpets and couches! My daughter had got window markers all over her carpet. It was awful! I had another company come in and they only could remove some of the stains. Chem-dry came in and were determined to fix it. It took a little bit and they used a lot of tricks, but they removed every least mark on my daughters rug. It's was amazing!! They have come back a few times for our couches and again amazing work!! Last time they came we had recently painted a room and got paint in a spot on brand new carpet. They got it out no problem.
