THIS PLACE IS A HUGE WASTE OF TIME!!! STAY AWAY!!! I had a sleep study and needed to get a CPAP machine, since preferred homecare was close by I figured I would use them. After my sleep doctor sent my order to preferred homecare I waited over a week to be contacted and decided that maybe I need to call them to schedule an appointment. The woman I spoke to (after being on hold for 15 minutes) told me that they are processing the order and that someone will call me to schedule. So I get the call to schedule, and am told that because of Covid that I need to show up at my appointment time, wait in my car and they will call me as soon as they are ready for me. So I show up today before my appointment and wait...and wait...and wait...I finally call them to see what is going on (a half hour after I was supposed to be seen) and they tell me that I should have called to check in (which no one told me when I scheduled). She then tells me that they are already booked and will have to reschedule for another time...NO THANKS!!! I have waited almost 2 weeks for this appointment and because the scheduler forgot to tell me to call I take off work and waste my time sitting in their parking lot? I have had a CPAP issued by Preferred Homecare on 26 July 2022. For 5 months, I have received no supplies, except for 2 small filters since then. I called in Sept to try to get supplies and have been given the run around. Called again in Oct, Nov and Dec, Nothing. Terrible company read more

This company provides the worst telephone support I've ever experienced. I took the equipment back as they never responded to pick it up and they said I didn't get it there. They were unable to find their record. I showed them the sticker on the wheelchair they said "Property of Preferred Homecare" and after a few more minutes it was found. Then she was going to let me leave without a receipt for the return. I insisted on a copy and was finally given one. I tried leaving zero stars but had to give it a one. If I could get less than the one I would. I have been trying to get equipment since September. Now they tell me that I have two accounts. I just had a shoulder replacement and I have no new equipment and I have a leak in my mask. They now told me they're going to try and put the two accounts together cuz I have two for some reason and then call me and let me know when I get to get anything. read more

Re: Cpap Supply Order After waiting 20 min on hold, I asked the idiot (No other word to describe him) who answered the phone, for an update to my order, since I had not heard anything from two weeks prior when I faxed over the doctors renewal order, drivers license and medical insurance card. He responded that they could not read my faxed information and could not fill the order. I asked him, why didn't they call me? I have been with them for at least 5 years. He said, that it is the patient's responsiblity to call THEM to f/u. What does this tell me? 1.) They do not employ enough staff. 2) Do not employ capabe staff. I revisited my information sent and my Medical card was cut off, BUT reflected the important information as to where to submit my insurance claim information to. I was livid! I told him that I have been with them for so many years, why would they leave me hanging like that! I also told him that he has forced me to change suppliers. What was his repsonse? Preferred Home Care is charging MY credit card for my son's catheters which are covered by insurance. Trying to dispute this situation. $ 546 per month on catheters is something that few can afford. I don't know how they managed to get the credit card numbers to make this recurring charge. I will fight this to the end. Fair is fair and this is not fair. read more

Horrible horrible horrible. They go into your account and deduct money when you didn't authorize it. They refuse to ship out supplies. They refuse to replace a broken CPAP machine. I'm shocked this company is still in business. They don't respond to complaints filed. BBB has so many negative reviews and I agree with them all. They are rude, quite nasty, and the manager Kathy screams at you on the phone, disgusting behavior and is so unprofessional. Don't use them, you'll regret it. I was a little worried when I saw the rating on this business, but my doctor assigned me to go there, so I gave it a shot. I arrived a little early, and the front desk employees were not rude, as others have posted (perhaps they've made changes). I was checked in promptly, the waiting area was comfortable, and I was called back within 5 minutes of my arrival. That was about a 4-star performance. The 5-star rating comes from the educational respiratory therapist, Nicole. She was so knowledgeable about the device and the parts. She walked me through everything without rushing and answered all my questions. She explained the billing, how my insurance factored into the equation, and the replacement part options. It was the first time I had received straight answers on any of these issues. Perhaps I just got lucky, but I'll bet most of the people get good to great service here. It's just the rare the bad experiences that prompt the bad reviews. Take it with a grain of salt. read more

Is there such a thing as NEGATIVE STARS? We've all dealt with bad companies or bad experiences over our lives. This company, however is the worst I have EVER dealt with. IF one can leave a message (after 20 to 40+ minutes on hold (to national or local numbers), calls are not returned. Letters receive no replies. The website identified on their bills is invalid. No email addresses are identified (local or national). You cannot reach these people. My family member died 2 months ago and they won't pick up their equipment and they're still billing for it. Oh and by the way, the patient was home 4 days before the ordered hospital bed was delivered (but only after another follow-up phone call. Plus, the bed and the oxygen concentrator appear to be models from the turn of the last century (old)! Though, the wheelchair was reasonably new. read more

Getting healthier sleep can be scary & annoying but this company makes it easier to adjust to a different way of sleeping. Great customer service! Always friendly, informative & helpful from the first time I called to multiple visits for new masks (I'm sensitive haha) to reorders. All of my medical & insurance info was smoothly transitioned/referred by my doctor to this C-PAP clinic with immediate calls & appointment set. They were very efficient & courteous (even funny at times). This office location is by appointment only but I have been able to see them in a timely manner each time. read more

Contacted Preferred Home Care about a year ago and we have been going round and round I had two doctors send prescriptions for mobility scooter and the insurance company sent a letter of approval to me and Preferred then they send a rep out and he fills out a letter of authority that he says he has to send to the insurance company even though insurance has already approved it. They told me that they are the only ones approved by Medicare to provide this equipment (I doubt it) If you are looking for medical equipment I would recommend checking with other suppliers this outfit seems to do everything it can to delay supply. read more

I noticed that every neg review of this place gets the same response from them, including a phone number to call. So, I decided to call this number to see what would happen. I did speak with a live person who seemed to listen to all I had to say. She told me the names of managers I could speak with to resolve my issues. However, she could not give me phone numbers to reach out to any of them. Instead she said that she was sending an email to them to contact me. She then said that I'd hear from one of them by the end of the day. Never heard from any of them! I then went to the location on Country Club Way, to pick up a new machine, that I'd been waiting two and a half months for. While there I asked to speak with the office manager and was told she was out of office. The woman I dealt with said she would get me a phone number for her and left the room. She came back and said that they're actually not allowed to give manager phone numbers to clients. She then sat down and sent an email asking the manager to call me. It's now been over a week since that day and I've still not heard from Her. Catherine is her name. bottom line is that there is absolutely nobody at this place that cares about patients or how they treat people. And it is certain that no one cares enough to help with or fix the issues. I got nowhere in my attempt to get things straightened out. I'd have to write a NOVEL to express how to inept this company is. The only reason they stay in business is probably because there aren't many companies that deal in medical equipment and that most people are bound to certain companies due to which one is covered by their insurance. Otherwise, this company wouldn't exist anymore. Where do I start and end?! To sum it up. It is so exceedingly difficult to get someone on the call to start with and once you do they have no idea what they are doing. Then you either get hung up with or they give you incorrect numbers OR they transfer you back and forth between 5 or 6 people before someone knows how to handle the situation. And it isn't over. Whoever handles the situation doesn't do their job, and you have to call over and over and OVER and OVER again and go through the entire process AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN! It often takes a month or months plural to get the products delivered and picked up!!! I received the incorrect mask because they resorted to the old prescription and not the new one...had a HUGE ordeal with shipping it back and receiving the new one. We also have an oxygen machine and two tanks sitting at my parents' house for over two months since we called them to pick them up. I complained via my insurance because I thought perhaps they are pulling insurance fraud by charging them for two plus months of use when they were supposed to pick up the supplies 2 months ago! The insurance called them on behalf of me....the woman was apologetic...said I'd get a call right away when they were going to pick up the supplies....now it has been yet another couple of weeks. I just called them now to try to get the jobs done with both my mask and the oxygen equipment. I was transferred and again hung up on. I've spent HOURS upon HOURS dealing with this shit every single time. I've had to contact them. UGH! read more

I called The Tempe branch many times and am still waiting for my first mask and any supplies that had been promised. The machine they sent me is still having problems as I reported many times to the Tempe office. I guess the Witch at the Tempe office just forgot to report the many problems I have had with this company. I also found out this morning that they told Blue Cross that they had reached out to me about a new mask fitting. AN OUT AND OUT BARE FACED LIE!!! I have given this supply company a year and so much patience, but it has been a nightmare. The only thing I can conceive of to explain the utter incompetence and failure at doing their job is that this place must pay very poorly and/or treat their employees terribly. Every month one or multiple things are missing from my medical supply order. These supplies are not optional. They say I need insurance auth when my insurance company has told me I do not. I missed out on an entire months supplies because of this one time, and it's just happened again. They cancel orders without telling you (has happened to me 4 times in the last year). After waiting for 3 days for a concentrator to be delivered, I called them and just told them to come pick it up and cancel me as a customer. I will be calling around tomorrow for a new company as I get by on my Inogen. Worst group of females that one says one thing then the other says another. Too 6 months to get ASV machine "Due to availability of machines". One big fat lie, as I could have purchased the same one online, Then let's talk about pricing, online $1700 plus tax, ships same day. I have never seen what the machine actually costs. With me having to pay $200 at pick up, then for the next 13 months, I rent the machine for another $105 monthly. Doing the math in my head with a 20% deduction of full cost. 13 times 105 equals $1365 plus the $200 equals $1565. $7500 times my 20% would equal $1500. Because my insurance would not guarantee reimbursement I could have bought machine for a couple of hundred dollars more. RUDE employees at the Tempe office. If they are unhappy with their job then find one that they can handle. Do I get my supplies thru them? Need to know how much they are going to charge Medicare. I will never go to that office again. And doubt that I will order even my filters for machine. read more

Not happy at all with the company, is ther negative stars. I had my dr fax over a prescription for a knee cart on a Wednesday. ..which he did 10 minutes after I left the office. I called 2 times on Wednesday to see if they had received it. I called l again on Friday, they still didn't have it. My Dr faxed a new precipitation on Friday, this one they finally received. But they told me it would be 5 to 7 business days before I could get it and they would call me when it was ready ...REALLY if I need to rent something I need it now. So now it had been 8 business days and have not heard from them. I no longer need this and I bought one on Amazon. That my insurance will not cover. My husband had to change to this company last year because our Medicare Advantage plan was not accepted by the other equipment supplier. He has been on an oxygen concentrator for over 10 years 24/7. A friend gave us an Inogen but since we did not buy it they will not service it, so his lung doctor gave him a script for a new portable oxygen concentrator. He spoke with Preferred, they told him he was approved for the machine and he would have it in about 2 week. He called back because he had not gotten it and they are now telling him that he has to be on oxygen bottles for 45 days and their supply of portable units is low and it could be a year before he gets one. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY. Not only do they lie to their customers we have had 3 orders of supplies go to the wrong address because they cannot put the correct lot number on the delivery ticket and when we called to make them aware they acted like it was our fault read more

here's what an excellent respiratory company will do---never would preferred homecare ever do the following!!!!!our pulmonologist gave the rt a range for certain settings. that was fine for a couple years, then it wasn't enough. the rt did some research, called philips for advice, and suggested an alternate setting. the doc gave the okay via phone and my pals tried it out. success! a good rt and pulmonologist are necessary with als. again--preferred homecare would never give this level of customer service!!! read more
