The Pugs were pampered and treated to homemade natural cookies made by Terrie herself. It is clear that she has a love in her heart for fur babies. Even my feisty little girl, Emma took to her. Our pugs are seniors and have a few idiosyncrasies and issues. She is very patient, but best of all she was understanding of our boy Winston's bathroom issues. Terrie took care of our home, it was neat and tidy. She even washed the sheets, which she did not have to do. She also left her homemade treats and a report card. The facility is clean, there are usually people in the rooms with the dogs playing with them and loving on them. My dogs are always excited to go, and I love that they offer grooming services so they can get groomed while at daycare! It is an all indoor facility, so I feel like my dogs will come home and their paws will smell like pee, so that isn't always the best. I also wish they sent you photos throughout the day, but for the price, it's not a dealbreaker for me at all!

But Downtown Hound says they cannot take the certificate because it has the wrong date on it, even though it looks like it "might" have been a mistake, Gee, do you think? Or do you suppose that I had the vaccination done in 1929? Or I traveled to the future and had it done in 2029? Really, if the people who work at Downtown Hound are this dense, I don't trust them with my dog. People all over the world write dates in different ways, so it's not as if you don't run into dates all the time that don't follow the mm-dd-yyyy format. Really stupid. (Note that the vaccination certificate, which I got during a drive-through vaccination event, even has the holographic stickers on it to show it's real,)

I typically will not hire anyone on a first interview, but it was so easy to hire them! They are professional, skilled, responsible, caring, kind, warm, observant, responsive, honest, and hard-working people for which we are so grateful to know. We could not have trusted just anybody to come into our home and stay with our very precious, spoiled & demanding Navia Kitty. We travelled 7 hours away and we were never worried or concerned. Tyegh sent the most wonderful photos to us every day showing happy Navia doing her usual routine. Our home was immaculately clean & everything in place when we returned. Upon our return, Navia looked around us purring and seemingly responded, "Where's Tyegh? When is your next trip? Bring Tyegh & Kelly-Ann back now!" As soon as you walk in you can smell the very strong stench of urine and there a very common complaints that dogs get sent home with kennel cough or stinking like pee. I believe it may be due to poor ventilation. they also just have the dogs going potty inside everywhere instead of being taken outside. I saw multiple dogs peeing in the building. We did not follow through with our boarding booking. I would not recommend booking here for sanitization and health concerns for your pups. I highly recommend that you visit the location and see if it is up to your standards before bookings. I was able to find a last minute boarding service with S&B Kountry Kennel. This location had proper clean kennels and huge yards for the dogs to be let out to play. They are also staffed with great trainers.

The staff responded quickly to my frequent status requests, and they have a text-only phone number which made me feel like my queries were less intrusive. Both dogs were happy and healthy when I picked them up! Boarding includes 'doggy day care', so the pups are running around in- and outside all day. If I ever need to board my dogs in the area again, I won't hesitate to use Barb's Best Friends.
