My stated goal day 1 at CCT was to get back on tennis court 3 months post op. My goal was ignored. I was very fit when operated on - played tennis for 2 hours the day before surgery, I found the exercises given very simple, no exertion whatsoever. Which is fine - they 're the experts, right? I did them religiously 7 days a week (3 in clinic, 4 days at home) thru August 2nd. My issue is that it took 23 clinic visits - until August 2nd - for them to put 1 lb weights on my ankles. Discouraged, that week I saw the surgeon's PA, and a trainer at the gym, and the PT who did my home care after surgery. All agreed that it made no sense to go that slow on a fit and motivated patient like me. So, I quit CCT. Recommendation was that I change PT clinics. I asked the recommended clinic to investigate my insurance. They said all my Medicare (MC) benefits had been used up by CCT. I now know MC has an annual $ cap that was far exceeded by CC Therapy. They apparently asked MC for more coverage because of "medical necessity". But I was never informed of any medical necessity. There were NO goals discussed with me, NO status reports, NO mention of progress made, of lack thereof. Just keep on billing .....

I've been blessed to have worked with Susy Noriega-Miller for issues with my hands and wrists. To say she was a lifesaver wouldn't be enough. The dedication and caring Susy showed me is a rare find and is well worth shouting out to the world! Susy, THANK YOU!! I know you'll be there if I need you again. Not to detract from my commendations of Susy, but a few years ago, I had a need for shoulder therapy and just like Susy, Eric was absolutely outstanding! Select, make sure you recognize the gems you have at this location as it's becoming rare to have such dedicated people representing your company.

I never got past the front desk …read more.............. 1) I physically went there to verify that they will accept my insurance, which was a yes 2) The Orthopedic office faxed them my prescription the following day. 3) In two days I never received a follow up call to schedule PT 4) I called Select PT to make sure they received the fax, the office said they did not (which seemed a little odd and she was a little standoffish). 5) I called the Orthopedic office and asked them to fax another prescription. They immediately faxed it to Select PT and sent me a confirmation email. 6) I called Select PT a few hours later and the office lady claimed that she didn't get it yet but .............. "Maybe she would have it later in the evening". This was very odd because I would bet money that she already had it. So, I made an appoint for the following Monday at 8:30. 7) Today, the day before surgery, I called Select PT to see if they received the prescription. The office lady kind of huffed, rustled around some papers and said yes, they have it. So, I asked why hasn't someone called me? The office lady then hung up on me! 8) I called back and asked to talk to the office manager. Of course, the office manager is out to lunch (at 2:36 PM?). She took my number for a call back. What do you want to bet I never get one. So bottom line, I never got past the front desk. Tried multiple times to get set with a physical therapy schedule as prescribed by the doctor, but the office lady is obviously not too concerned about new PT customers. I wonder how the owners feel about that? As a result of your office lady's inattentive behavior, you lost a patient with two upcoming knee replacements over the next six months. Too bad I found another PT location with an attentive office.

I had really bad neck pain…read more I've been sent to physical therapy many time in my life. I always go once and never go back. I usually just do the exercises on my own, but then I came here. I've been coming for two months. Mary Stern is awesome. I look forward to my next visits (which is insane if you knew me). She is very smart and knows technics for the spine that very few therapists know (McKenzie method). She cares....and that is the best trait in a heath care professional. She talks through and finds the solution(s). I was hesitant to post this glowing review because I didn't want to let the secret out. Gerry is the other therapist and seems to have similar characteristics (his patients are happy). I truly found my personal therapist for as long as Mary will take me (all future problems). No more one and done. She has me hooked on the process and my neck pain is way better than it was before I met her. Thanks!!!!!!!

I recently completed 5 weeks of physical therapy with Gerry Stern at Boca Raton Physical Therapy…read more I was originally scheduled to have surgery for spinal stenosis. My insurance company required that I go through a course of physical therapy before they would approve the surgery. I was skeptical as to getting any benefit from the PT since I had been through the process many times prior to my past surgeries. After my first visit working with Gerry, I immediately felt a connection. Gerry was knowledgeable, professional and caring and I believed that this process could be successful. And it was because I have reached a level of improvement whereby my quality of life has been dramatically improved. Gerry was the catalyst that enabled me to reach the level of success I have attained. Alan E.

I rolled my ankle while moving some empty boxes. And after getting some x-rays at the urgent care,…read morethe doctors there recommended me to come here for a more closer look. I was able to get all my x-rays on a flash drive. I gave it to the doctor for his examination. The staff and the doctor here are very nice. Checking in was very simple. Everything is done through kiosk in order to avoid more personal contact. And I didn't have to wait for long before I get to see the doctor. Fortunately, the doctor said it's not too serious. I did not have a fracture and luckily it was just sprained. The doctor told me to keep my leg elevated, stay off my feet and take plenty of rest. The good news is that my ankle is getting a lot better, so I don't have to go back for another visit. But if I have to, I know the doctor and the staff here will take good care of me.

I called in a week ago and spoke with Sonya, a familiar sounding voice from a past visit 3 years…read moreago for my ankle. I had told her I had hurt my arm and it felt like the surgery I had from a past associated Dr., Dr. Kelly, had re torn itself. I told her I was in a lot of pain. She told me to get a referral from my primary. So I did and had an appointment today @9:30am. I arrived @9:20am, did the self check in Kiosk inputting an 8 as my pain level, sat down, and was called by Lorita. The first thing she asked was where is your pain. I said in my arm and before I could say shoulder, she said to me was I might want to check my insurance, because your doctor put shoulder pain on the referral. I tried to explain to her there was pain in both areas and she actually said the insurance won't cover it. I asked why can't I see the dr because it didn't make sense (I'm one to do every step correctly) but her attitude was aggressive. Nicholas came over and explained that the bicep and shoulder connects so there can be pain in the shoulder from a bicep tear. Lorita did not like the fact Nicholas corrected her. I saw it all over her face as she kept turning back to another office associate. I mean I'm a customer and returning client, why was I treated this way. I became upset because Lorita then back tracked and said she didn't say what she said about the arm. I asked to speak with Sonya and she said she was on the phone. 15 minutes later Sonya hands me a packet to fill out. She said I haven't been there in 10 years, when in actually I was there less than 3 years ago for an ankle injury but she didn't want to hear it because I was trying to explain to her how rude the front desk Lorita was. It took me about 15 minutes to fill out the paperwork. I stood at the window, I knocked politely, hoping that the situation was over. I stood there and heard talking. Then two gentlemen came to the window and said they were going to refer me to another orthopedic dr. One was Nicholas, who was amazing during this whole situation, and Alex, who I would say tried his best to handle a situation which was a he said /she said and he has to work with Lorita. I knew to not to argue at this point, so I just asked for there names because Lorita was no where to be found. I'm confused why when I was confronted with misinformation from Lorita, I chose to question it, and rather than properly explain it, she got more aggressive and said that she never said the previous misinformation. I believe now a days it's called gaslighting. Her communication made me feel extremely uncomfortable while I'm already at a 8 pain level as I inputted in the digital check in. Now I have to find a new orthopedic, on my plan, that takes my insurance, get another referral from my primary, and then make another appointment with a different orthopedic. If I have a potential bicep tendon tear or tear of my shoulder, time is of the essence. Needless to say I will never go back to this office. I believe the Dr. is only as good as his staff because he chose them. If he doesn't handle his office detail, how would he handle a patients details.
