I saw they had one of my favorites from Mother Earth Brewery, the Cali Creamin, so I started there. For my second the beertender, I think his name was Brandon let me sample a couple to help me narrow down my choice which ended up being an India Pale Ale. I read a previous review where someone stated they ordered pizza from Messenger Pizza next-door. While I was sitting at the bar, I made a phone call and placed an order. This is the second year in a row I've visited this awesome taproom in downtown Nampa. Very nice area with a historical feel. The beer bar itself has a very good variety of suds to chose from. We ended up having a hazy IPA from Epic Brewing called Citralush. Very solid beer my son and me both enjoyed it. I ended up having a sour to finish off and it was amazing. It was Vlad the Imp Aler 2017 by Cascade Brewing. If you are ever in the Nampa area looking for some good beer try this place out. It appears to be popular with the locals. A fan of PreFunk! My husband and I had date night and decided to pregame at PreFunk before headed to dinner. When we arrived I immediately decided to try the Huckleberry cider. My husband was having a harder time deciding what he wanted. The guy behind the bar wasn't too helpful, come to find out it was end of his shift. When we went for another round the new guys behind the bar seemed more knowledgeable about the beer and found one my husband really liked. Great location in downtown Nampa offering up many great choices of brews. It's the closest place to me to be able to visit and have variety, and I live at least 25 miles away. I have only really been here during the late afternoons on my days off, said not sure how the nightlife is. I can attest that I came here on St Patrick's Day, and growing up in a very Irish American town in Montana, was disappointed that Nampa didn't seem to celebrate the festivities at all! This is one of my favorite spots downtown. They have a huge selection of beers, and the overall vibe is very nice. Very laid back, and Heather and Ryan (the owners) are so nice. I have been to all the locations (Meridian included when it existed) and in my personal opinion the Nampa location is the best one of them all. There is a almost family like vibe to this place, everyone is welcoming and friendly. You can always expect to come in get a good beer, and pet a friendly dog. If you want food you can walk across the hall and Messenger Pizza will bring you one of their delicious slices. Prefunk's patio is very nice too. Well lit, there is always music playing, and sometimes cornhole will be going on too. They have plenty of events and they are always fun to go to! I'm giving PreFunk a 1 star rating for their "online orders". I went through their Instagram page and their website to place an online order. I had some trouble with it but it went through and I got an email confirmation and checked my bank account to ensure money had been taken out. I had a weird feeling that maybe the order didn't go through but I went to PreFunk anyway because the money had been taken out of my account already. When we get there, it was slightly mortifying. I tell 3 different people that I was there for an online pick up order. The first person was confused, the second thought we were lost, & the third laughed in our faces, which encouraged the first two employees to hysterically laugh at us, along with two bar patrons. Apparently their website doesn't work and hasn't worked for years. According to the worker that laughed at us, "they've asked for it to be taken down" but it hadn't. So somehow because PreFunk can't get their website taken down, my partner and I are laughed at, like it is somehow our fault. It was embarrassing and made my partner and I feel about two inches big. I don't think I'll be going to this business again, especially when they just laugh at their customers for their errors. We did get our drinks to go but only after this whole entire debacle. I won't be giving my money to places that'll treat their customers with little to no respect. read more

Like the PreFunk downtown, this location offers craft brew and a relaxed environment to enjoy them in. The owners here are super fun and always willing to talk shop with customers. Unlike the location downtown, this one seems to carry a whole lot more Belgian and German styles which reflect the different tastes in Nampa. I love that about them -- they carry the stuff they drink themselves, and not just the hot new trends in brew culture. Grab a slice from the pizzeria next door and hang out on the patio. PreFunk Nampa has great tap beer selection, even has a few ciders on tap. This is the best thing I can say about it. It's rather small or I should say it's narrow. It is one of old town Nampa buildings they are working on reclaiming. It has its charm in some ways but mostly it was over crowded, with about 15 people in it. Seating is limited to the bar or a series of bar type tables opposite the bar. This makes sitting and conversing hard, the loud atmosphere made it even harder. There was one table in the back and even a couch to hang out on. I'm not sure what the purpose for the blanket on the couch was, maybe for the bartender or servers Pomeranian? read more
